Positive ting
Place is beautifully situated. Small shop with delicious bread rolls. Children's playgrounds, small swimming pool. Children's entertainment. Children's pool. Short walk to the beach.
Negative ting
The wash house is too small and therefore too crowded. The green maintenance on the pitch could be more careful. Paths very narrow. Toilets closed during cleaning.
Nice summer vacation with 3 small children
The place is actually very nicely located and offers everything you need. Small shop with delicious bread rolls on site. 3 different children's playgrounds, small swimming pool. Children's entertainment.
Children's pool. Short walk to a great sandy beach and beach restaurant. Many leisure activities... near and far. Shopping facilities within walking distance.
The wash house was renovated a few years ago, but is too small at peak times and therefore too crowded.
The green maintenance on the site could be more careful. Weeds are on the advance in many places. Nettles on the paths are particularly unsightly.
The paths were very narrow for our caravan. Without a mover, we would have found it difficult to push the caravan from the main path to the pitch. The sanitary building is cleaned underground. One toilet area is always closed. You are then asked to go to the facilities of the opposite sex. It would be desirable to carry out the cleaning very early in the morning.
However, the price/performance is still okay. We still had a great vacation.

Small but mighty!
We were there for 9 days in summer 2023. The site was fully booked to the last pitch. The sanitary building is modern and was always clean. There were only very short waiting times (for the men) from time to time in the morning or evening.
The parking of the caravan was positive. All in one direction... to protect from the wind. This was recommended in the reception. And that was a good thing! The pitches (Premium) are really huge, as the car has to be parked on separate parking spaces close to the pitch.
The aircraft noise is like music to my ears. Depending on the direction of take-off and landing, there is a lot going on in the sky. If this bothers you, you should avoid the area!
As the site is relatively small, it was really quiet during our stay.
We were out and about a lot by bike. Great cycle paths and The Hague is about 25 km away and Leiden (a little insider tip) only about 8 km. The campsite made a great impression overall. We didn't use the swimming pool and restaurant.

We went to Katwijk on a recommendation. The site is not very big, so it's ideal for families with children. The reception was very friendly.
The flight path of Amsterdam airport was annoying. The planes sometimes flew very low. The restaurant and snack bar were closed and the very small supermarket was... only open from 8:00-10:30. However, there are supermarkets nearby and Katwijk as a tourist stronghold has many restaurants and shopping facilities.
The beach is within walking distance, but you can also go by bike.
You can rent umbrellas and sun loungers on the beach at reasonable prices, but the drinks in the beach pavilion are too expensive.
The name swimming pool is misleading, there is one indoor and one outdoor mini pool, but they are closed at 18:00.

Pitch close to the sea, pitches large enough, driveways sometimes narrow. The sanitary facilities were sufficient in number and were cleaned at least 3 times a day. The reception was friendly and quick, with all the necessary information. Bread rolls are available in the morning from 8am to 10:30am (delicious... and plenty of choice), unfortunately both the snack bar and the restaurant were closed. The swimming pool is open from 10am to 5pm, the opening times were not good for us as we were traveling at that time. Swimming before or after would have been good. Unfortunately, Wi-Fi is only available for a fee and is supposed to be fast (we didn't test it ourselves), but it's not worth buying a Wi-Fi ticket just to check the weather forecast and email once a day. Cycle paths pass right by the site and in a few minutes you are on the beach where there are also beach restaurants. The site is in the flight path of Amsterdam Schiphol, but this doesn't bother you at night as the airport is in the process of reducing night flights.

Unfortunately, the vehicle does not have a camper registration! 30 minutes after check-in they were expelled from the site. Even the police who were called did not impress anyone at this campsite. I couldn't find any information on the website about camper registration. Just keep your hands off!

We've been to the campsite several times. The site is actually nice and, above all, very close to the beach. But the sanitary facilities were extremely annoying. They were always dirty, even after cleaning. The toilets were always very dirty, as were the showers. There is also no supermarket on the campsite, just an overpriced bakery that is only open in the morning. It was definitely our last time here....

Nice place, but unfortunately not well maintained. Pitches are not checked after departure, rarely mowed. Sanitary facilities outdated and too small for the large pitch, when it's hot it's unbearable to stay there to shower and wash up - cleaning irregular almost daily at peak times (there is a smaller... 2nd building, but not much better)... Distance to the extensive sandy beach approx. 900 m to walk or cycle. Small swimming pool, restaurant on site, store to buy bread rolls and a few things, reception - nice staff, but unfortunately very poorly equipped with information and brochures (hardly anything in German). WLAN only available for purchase, bike rental on site and also possible in town. Flight path, noise (not excessively loud) can be heard (it didn't bother us)

Almost ideal for a long weekend by the sea
For us, the campsite is ideal for a long weekend and we can get there quickly from the west of Germany. The site is in good condition overall. The sea is within walking distance (approx. 800m). The sanitary facilities were clean, but are older. There's a football pitch and one or two playgrounds for... kids. We didn't use the swimming pool. Most of the pitches are not separated from each other, which we have seen better on other campsites. Once you get to the beach, you can head for various beach pavilions and "chill out" 😉

Camping directly behind the dunes...
Here we are again, this time at the turn of the year 2018/2019...you can relax here, even if the plane comes over the campsite from time to time. It can change depending on the wind direction, but we knew that too. Just switching off ;-) works anyway! The area is great to explore on foot, by bike or... by car. The campsite is good value for money and the location is very nice. This time we had a basic pitch which was sufficient for our 7.88m caravan. It would be nice if the sanitary facilities were overhauled (this wish is now getting louder and louder :-/, but is also appropriate!!!), but unfortunately they were not always clean at this time of year! Of course, they are also getting on in years... ;-) It would be nice if you could use the exit to the beach / parking lot by card (e.g. barrier card) even at this time of year ;-) P.S. To all...;-) ...should the shoe be gone...it could also have been the fox ;-) Every now and then a fox comes across the square, so always put the shoes away, he has preferences, just shoe fetishist :-) and therefore these are more often in his territory, the shoes or other things he finds, in the beds....

Surroundings and location very nice. Campsite ok.
We stayed for 4 days on the pitch which was almost completely full. The price-performance ratio does not match the stars. It is a solid 3 star place. The sanitary facilities have been somewhat upgraded but are not exactly up to the standard I would expect from a site in this category. The number of showers... and toilets is also very manageable for the size of the pitch. Our comfort pitch 365 had all the connections. Due to the predetermined orientation of the caravans (my caravan is 7.80 meters long), I couldn't use the waste water facilities and there was no room for my car on the pitch. With the antenna connection, only ZDF WDR and RTL German-language programs were fed in. The access roads are very small. The site is beautifully situated and close to the beach, cycle paths and the town. The registration was friendly and nice. Even if it may come across in the rating that everything was not so nice, this should only be seen in relation to the stars and price range. It's just Standdart but that's ok so far.

This site is not suitable for winter camping.
This campsite offers winter camping. The disposal of the chemical toilet is outside the sanitary building and the water is turned off. The disposal station looked accordingly: dirty and smelly. The sanitary facilities were borderline. The only advantage was the underfloor heating in the sanitary building,... so the building was well heated. Our pitch was next to some bushes and there was garbage, old sneakers and lots of cigarette butts. The pitches are probably not checked and cleaned. The reception staff are very friendly. We arrived outside opening hours and found an envelope in the letterbox with all the necessary information and maps for the barrier and swimming pool. With the ADAC card we only paid 21 euros per day, but even that was too expensive for the old and dirty facilities. We cannot recommend this campsite.

Beautiful place in the dunes
De Noordduinen campsite stands out due to its location in the dunes. The layout of the site takes its toll on the weather and the wind and is therefore functional. The site staff are extremely friendly and helpful, be it with questions or when setting up the caravan. The sanitary facilities are older,... but in a clean condition. Toilets, individual wash cubicles and showers have now been fitted with new partitions, and some of the toilets and urinals have been replaced. The supply situation on the site is also ok. The proximity to the surrounding towns tempts you to go sightseeing. All in all, a worthwhile site with a good infrastructure.

Infrastructure badly in need of renovation
For what the campsite offers, it is totally overpriced! The sanitary buildings are in need of renovation. In the showers, the payment devices have been hanging on the walls like skeletons for years. There is mold in the showers between partially broken tiles. One evening, 50% of the toilets were blocked... and there was no towel paper or hand dryer at the washbasins. Charging booking and reservation fees separately doesn't make the place any better. Thank goodness the grass on our pitch had been mown - unfortunately the mown grass was left lying around. This makes a very good impression when you carry the grass on your shoes into the motorhome. Basically, the site makes an unkempt impression, tall weeds, unkempt ramparts around the rental bungalows.
