- Alexander H.September 2024Positive tingA base to look at Tomar, Torres Novas and other places of interestNegative tingGeneral air of neglectAlexander HamiltonHaving used this campsite since 2016 I can say that over the last 2 years the maintenance of this campsite and it's sanitary blo ck has deteriorated.
- Alf F.July 2019It's a military barracks!Having been used to Golega for years, we've always found the campsite management in this beautiful village crazy, but this year they've outdone themselves! The opening hours are delirious: there's only someone at reception from 9am to 1pm and from 3pm to 6pm! Outside these hours, the campsite is locked... and you can only leave on foot and with a magnetic card. In an emergency, it's impossible to get out or in with your car! Second problem: you have to pay in advance! They're so scared that we run away from them without paying ! Thirdly, the locals are imposed on. Complete delirium! There's hardly anyone on this campsite (and for good reason), but if you're in a tent, you have to put yourself where you're told, and if there are three tents, they're squeezed against each other on a campsite that measures at least a hectare ! Finally, the staff are as kind as the doors of this prison ! If you like military environments and military regulations, go to the Golega campsite, but if you like freedom on a campsite, run away from this dictatorial place !Automatisk oversatt.
- Angus M.December 2016Camping Dec 2016This is one of these campsites where you pull up at reception and instinctively know that it's going to be nice. Situated on the edge of the small town of Golega, minutes walk from small cafe/bars, restaurants and a well stocked supermarket. Efficient and pleasant lady at reception. Campsite is compact... and grounds are immaculate. Proper segregation bins provided which are lined so no smelly bins here. I was camping so delighted to find the tent area a stretch of green grass you would be proud to have on your lawn. Toilet block has separate facilities for ladies / gents and is without doubt the nicest campsite facilities I have come across. Plenty toilets and showers, modern and spotlessly clean. To top it all this cost me less than six Euros for me, motorbike and tent, cheapest I have paid in the whole of France, Spain and Portugal. Excellent free wifi. First class.
- Alfred P.May 2016Positive tingClose to the centerNegative tingFew leisure opportunitiesCommunity squareWe had expected more from Golega as the self-proclaimed horse capital and the nearby nature reserve. We liked the campsite itself. Very clean, quiet, reasonably priced and friendly staff.Automatisk oversatt.
- Mike Dean L.October 2015Top placeOne of the most beautiful places we know......fantastic facilities, location on the outskirts, everything within walking distance. Highly recommended!Automatisk oversatt.
- Andreas und Petra S.October 2014Everything is great,.... except for the daily opening hours.Medium-sized site with approx. 70 pitches, very quietly located on the outskirts of Golegã. Large pitches and now, at the end of the season, the grass pitches are still in remarkably good condition. Fast WLAN free of charge. Attention, the access road is closed in the evening from 7pm to 9am and from 12pm to 3pm! At the beginning of October '14 we paid €4.85 for a motorhome with 2 people including electricity.Automatisk oversatt.
- Arnaldo F.September 2013Whenever I have three days available, we are here in peace and quiet. The staff couldn't be nicer and the village has everything you need. For those who also like horses, it's a real treat!Automatisk oversatt.
