- Adalbert J.June 2023Positive tingLocation in the forestNegative tingNext to the square, a small road leads to the quarry / deposition sitecozySmall, cozy, well-kept campsite, designed with imagination and love. Friendly "boss". Due to the location in the forest, you can start beautiful walks and hikes right from the campsite.Automatisk oversatt.
- Karl S.August 2020Positive tingVery friendly hosts, quiet locationNegative ting???10 days in the WeinviertelWe were warmly welcomed on arrival and were able to choose a seat.
We were then given a short tour:
The kitchen is quite small, with a 3-burner electric stove, a double sink, a fridge and a table with two armchairs.
The toilet facilities for the men include two urinals, two toilets and, in a very spacious... extra room, two washbasins and two showers - with rain shower and hand shower!
The same goes for the ladies, without urinals of course.
The toilets were always very clean!
And: a possibility to empty the chemical toilet.
There are no shopping facilities on the pitch or in the surrounding area.
You can order fresh pastries the day before for the next morning, either in person or online. You will receive instructions for this when you register.
We did our shopping in Retz. There are BILLA, PENNY and HOFER here.
Internet is available free of charge and in good quality via WLAN.
Nearby, about 8 minutes on foot, there is a forest tavern from Fr., Sat. and Sun. from 15:00 until the end of October, which is always very well attended.
Nearby excursion destinations for cycling and walking tours: Thayatal Nature Park with the wild cat station; Hardegg, the smallest town in Austria; Retz with its underground cellars.
From the CP you can hike to the Thaya, which lies entirely in CZ.
We felt very comfortable, especially because of the friendly hosts!Automatisk oversatt. - pe e.September 2018Nice little placeVery nice owners. Small place, very good for WM, for large WW the driver should be able to drive, as a bit narrow. Somewhat hidden, but still easy to find, but all in all very OK.Automatisk oversatt.
- Josefine D.August 2018Positive tingQuiet and manageableVery good price-performance ratio in a quiet location. The campsite is in a very quiet and tranquil area. The manager is very friendly and accommodating. The site feels cozy and natural.Automatisk oversatt.
- Andrea D.July 2018Positive tingQuiet location directly on the cycle pathSmall, tranquil squareSmall, quiet pitch, partly shady. Sanitary facilities a little older, but clean. A small kitchen can be used for washing up, electric stove and fridge can also be used. Bread roll service. Directly on the cycle path. We found nothing to complain about and can only recommend the place.Automatisk oversatt.
- Markus P.July 2018Positive tingRestNegative tingPRELLER and sometimes loud single comrades.Simply brilliantHardly more feasible than it already is. The operator can't be held responsible for any annoying campers who come and leave without paying.Automatisk oversatt.
- Walter B.July 2018Positive tingPeace, friendliness, great starting point for exploring RetzerlandNegative tingNo store nearby, no "bread delivery service"Peace and relaxation in the middle of the wine countryIdeal place for people who appreciate peace and quiet, surrounded by forest and if you stick your nose out a little you are in the middle of the wine country. Great cycling and hiking trails on the doorstep. Free internet!!! (who needs it...;-)Automatisk oversatt.
- Elisabeth R.May 2018Positive tingNice, quiet place beautiful surroundings reasonable prices close to the Czech border explorations through the forest Pond nearby friendlyNegative tingnoneCozy, quiet campsiteMy boyfriend and I spontaneously decided to go camping and stay here for one night. We chose this campsite in advance because campfires and charcoal barbecues are allowed! The owner wasn't there when we arrived, but a regular guest was kind enough to show us around. There are a total of 4 very nice,... quite spacious pitches. We pitched our tent on a pitch that was a bit more "isolated" from the rest of the site down the road. The pitch was very nice, but there is a risk of ticks here because of a few patches of tall grass! I had to remove a tick from my friend's leg, please get vaccinated! As the pond with frogs is also very close, I recommend campers who can't fall asleep with animal noises to take a pitch near the house. As I prefer to hear animal noises at night, it was particularly easy for me to fall asleep :) Otherwise, I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and quiet it was. The sanitary facilities were very homely and clean, and there is also a small kitchen with a fridge and other appliances. The Wi-Fi is fast and free. We visited the surrounding area, the war graves, the forest and the pond, and also went for a walk in the small village next door. The place is very cozy for 1-2 days - you could also visit Retz in a few minutes, or drive across the border to Znojmo to do some shopping. Mrs. Molterer came by in the evening to greet us, a very nice friendly woman who gave us a great recommendation for a Buschenschank nearby. The view there was heavenly. The drinks and food served by the volunteer fire department were very cheap and delicious! (Spritzer for €1.50, slice of cake for €2 etc.). Payment for the overnight stay was also very straightforward, we paid just €14.50 for 2 people, local tax, tent, car and garbage collection! We are very satisfied and will definitely come back more often!Automatisk oversatt.
