Nice location for Stockholm trip - sanitary catastrophic
The location on the archipelago island of Waxholm is ideal if you want to stay in the countryside with your tent and still see something of Stockholm. The daily ferry ride into the city and back (1 hour each way) was fantastic. Unfortunately, the staff were absolutely unhelpful and unwilling to help.... There was no ferry timetable. You could have quickly researched it on the internet, but this was not done even when asked. However, the times are important, because the last ferry leaves for the city at 9:20 in the morning and the next one doesn't leave until 12 noon. That would be important information. And you only stay at this campsite to visit Stockholm. The beach is beautiful, a shallow sandy beach with a large rock. The sanitary facilities are disastrous. The one closest to the campsite is a very rustic wooden hut, the toilets are dark, the showers are tiny and have no electricity to blow-dry your hair. You have to go to the lower building, which is also getting on in years. The showers have a standard temperature and no regulator! The kitchen is fine, with a large fridge.

From the square approx. 2-3 km to the passenger ferry to Stockholm. Ferry time 1h, price 75 SKR (one way), bicycles free of charge. Beautiful beach

Inadequate sanitary facilities. Uneven pitches. Too many day guests. Stupid staff. High price.

Worst managed site I have ever experienced. Hardly any level pitches. Completely inadequate sanitary facilities. Reception at the same time store (6 freezers) and bar. Chaotic conditions. Through the fridges 45°. No well thought-out pitch layout, no signpost. Beach and infrastructure mainly used by day guests. Price far too high for the facilities.

beautifully situated campsite, but unfortunately the beach is totally overcrowded in good weather, as it is the only large sandy beach in the area, including the arrival and departure of bathers. sanitary facilities very basic but clean and too few! The site is quite crowded, i.e. you are very close... to your neighbors and the site is sloping in many areas. From Vaxholm passenger ferry to the center of Stockholm ... However, the landing stage is a few km (approx. 3-4) from the campsite, but can be reached by bus.

totally sloping terrain, it was almost impossible to align the caravan. In addition, the site is literally paved over with campers - a parking lot of a wholesale market is more comfortable. There are 3 showers and 3 toilets available as "sanitary facilities" - either with a key or with a number code.... If you want to shower, you have to stand outside (very pleasant in the pouring rain) and wait for a cubicle. A pity, as this is a very scenic spot. We recommend avoiding this campsite!
