- Gerhard B.May 2024Positive tingHelpfulness of the staff Friendliness of the staffNegative tingnone foundAgain and againWe were guests of the Yelloh campsite on Lac du Der in Champange near the village of Eclaron from 09.05.2024 to 19.05.2024.
The campsite is located directly on a side arm of Lac du Der with a bathing area, whereby the campsite has a beautiful spacious bathing area.
The campsite is varied and attractively... landscaped, with some pitches scattered between the mobile homes. Some of the pitches have their own sanitary building. We had pitch T16 without our own sanitary building. The surface of our pitch consisted of grass and earth and was unfortunately quite uneven. The grass was too tall for my taste.
The two central sanitary buildings were always clean during our stay and were cleaned daily. The campsite has a kiosk where you can get the essentials, fresh baguettes, croissants, etc. are available in the morning if ordered in advance. Cheese and sausages are available in packs. However, no fruit or vegetables were offered, at least during our stay. We ate in the restaurant twice, both times it was very good, this also applies to the pizza we ordered there. The campsite staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The mosquitoes often mentioned in other reviews were almost non-existent.
Circumnavigating Lac du Der by bike is generally no problem, especially with an eBike. If you don't have your own bike with you, you can hire one at the campsite. We loved it and will definitely be back.Automatisk oversatt. - Ute H.September 2021Positive tingFriendly welcome, large pitches, the pool is clean and well maintained as is the rest of the complex. The cycle paths in the area are well laid out, safe and well signposted.Negative tingLots of mosquitoes in the evening, sitting outside was not possible. Sanitary facilities could do with renovation. Are only functional and clean. Quiet is not given by the busy (mainly trucks) road in the immediate vicinity. No direct shopping facilities nearby you have to drive about 10 km. Unfortunately we could not use the beach at the lake, it was closed because of alleged bacteria in the water. We had 2 days of aircraft noise due to training flights of the military which has the base nearby. You can get to the actual lake Lac du Der by bike or car.Nice, manageable space with everything you need.Well suited for a short break or as a transit site for stopovers. The site is often used for this purpose. There is a constant coming and going, which we did not find unpleasant, but everything is very quiet and considerate.Automatisk oversatt.
- Hr. H.June 2019Positive tingFriendliness, cleanliness and location for transitNegative tingLighting control in the sanitary area and shower comfort/operationGood transit pointGenerally enough space for transit. Pool clean, friendly reception, good restaurant. Negative are the showers and not worthy of a designated 5 star place. The light in the sanitary facilities is time-controlled, so if you shower alone in the evening you will be in the dark at some point. Then you have to get out of the shower soaped up and switch on the light.Automatisk oversatt.
- Steffen R.June 2019Positive tingBeautiful cycle routeNegative tingMosquitoes in the eveningO.k., but not the best place on Lac du DerWe had chosen a Yelloh Village on our trip to France because of the basic standards we are used to from this operator. However, the pitch is one of the weaker ones. The location on the lake is not particularly attractive, the lake shore is rather reedy, the beach is not inviting and what was missed there... is blatantly noticeable on the pitch in front of the camper in the evening: Mosquitoes in what felt like millions. Natural control did not seem to have taken place this year. The sanitary facilities are okay, but cramped and dark. The location directly on the lakeside circular route is good, which is just under 40 km long and makes for a nice day trip by bike. The path is mostly of good quality and well marked. Also good: the restaurant on site with smart and tasty food. We were unlucky with the "neighbors", who let themselves go quite a bit. Unfortunately, the staff, who live on the site, no longer feel responsible after the reception closes and make another round to ensure peace and quiet if necessary. Because of the noise and the mosquitoes, four nights turned into just two.Automatisk oversatt.
- Eckard B.April 2017Positive tingGood location near the N4, good serviceNegative tingNoisy street next door, expensive restaurantWell located transit site Atlantic / ParisWell located place near the N4 to Paris, very noisy due to a lot of truck traffic directly past the campsite. Nice staff, quick check in.Automatisk oversatt.
- Gerd F.August 2013Positive tingBeautiful sandy beach in the middle of natureNegative tingDistance to the nearest shopping facilities approx. 10 kmCampsite with direct access to the lakeWe were there with the camper van as a stopover on the way to the Atlantic coast. The campsite is well equipped (restaurant, pool), but with only a few pitches, as it is mainly occupied by rental houses. The adjacent lake has a beautiful sandy beach. The area is ideal for cycling. There is a great cycle path around the lake (approx. 35 km), partly directly on the dam.Automatisk oversatt.
- Uwe N.July 2011Visually beautifully situated on the lake, unfortunately a large road directly at the campsite. Toilet/shower facilities very dirty due to bird droppings.Automatisk oversatt.
- Claudia B.July 2011Place not well suited for tents, as the ground is very stony and sloping, sanitary facilities not very clean due to bird shit from breeding birds. Everything you have to pay extra for is very expensive e.g. restaurant, washing machines, bicycle rental etc. Jet fighters fly several times during the day... and night. Dogs are forbidden on the beach, which I think should appear in the information. When we were there (family with two children) the beach was closed due to algae infestation (unfortunately no information from staff beforehand.... you had to find out for yourself) Staff only speak broken German...better to speak French. The area is very beautifulAutomatisk oversatt.
- jessica p.June 2011Avoid! The owner is very unpleasant and haughty. Well-equipped cottage, but the terrace, made of wooden planks spaced apart, is dangerous. Children get their feet stuck in it. A friend's chair got caught in a gap; my friend fell and hurt her arm! it could have been worse! We went to report it, but the... owner looked down on us and barely replied! We were annoying her! And we had to pay for the broken chair! No entertainment! Cold pool! In short, don't go!Automatisk oversatt.
- Daniel M.August 2010I visited the campsite with my son. If you plan to cycle a lot, the campsite is ideal, otherwise you are always dependent on your car. The real lake is a long way away, which is why this campsite is called "les sources" (the sources). I often complained about the noise of the trucks, but of course for... nothing. There is a great road right next to the campsite that is used by HGVs ... However, the staff at the café were very nice and we ate well too. There are nicer places in this area.Automatisk oversatt.
