- Thomas K.June 2023Pozytywnefriendly staffNegatywneThe pitch was overcrowded. You could see that everywhere in the sanitary building. It was all about attracting as many guests as possible and making as much money as possible.Very simple spaceThere won't be a second time. The location is good but that's all you can say about this place.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Frank T.July 2020PozytywneClose to Hattingen, small and manageable, relatively well-keptNegatywneSmall footprintsSmall space without a lot of frillsPitch was better than some comments suggested. Sanitary older, but clean and sufficient for the size of the pitch. Entrance difficult for large caravans, I only had a small one with me. Was only there one night.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Ralph und Conny P.May 2019PozytywneQuiet locationNegatywneSanitary facilities old but tidy.Quiet little campsiteLocated directly on the Ruhr. Nice campsite operators. Sanitary facilities (outdated) available. Quiet location. Stayed there for one night with a motorhome The price (perhaps a little too expensive) included electricity and water.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Sabum P.March 2019PozytywneOpen all year roundNegatywneVery narrow and very difficult to reach.Simple spaceThe entrance is very narrow and winding. Long carriages run the risk of scrapes. There is simply nothing there. No store or bread rolls...... The gate opens in the direction of travel. If you stand in front of the entrance, you have to drive 10 meters backwards on the very narrow road to open the gate. A tip would be great here! We don't go there anymore.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Nicole H.June 2018PozytywnePeace and quiet, the Ruhr right next door, short distances to Hattingen, friendliness, helpfulnessNegatywne-Another positive surprise...What were we looking for? A campsite not far from Dortmund - unfortunately the office was calling on the bridge day after Corpus Christi - that offered us peace and relaxation. We found what we were looking for at CP An der Kost in Hattingen. We booked and set off for a weekend on Corpus Christi. Small... and cozy was the first impression of the site located directly on the Ruhr...but enough space and open space and I say that because I don't like cozy camping at all...but we were well distributed and the groundsman even helped us to park the caravan. We unloaded our towing vehicle and parked it in the parking lot in front of the campsite. The short break was wonderful, super friendly staff, if needed you could pre-order bread rolls which could be picked up at the reception of the adjacent hotel. Our dogs were no problem either...there is also a super nice run for the four-legged friends not far from the campsite. Fortunately, almost everyone kept their dogs on a lead on the campsite. Only once did we have a less pleasant encounter when a larger dog off the lead thought it had to attack our pelt-noses on a lead, but as nothing happened, I'll chalk it up to "shit happens" .... You get a key for the sanitary facilities when you pitch up, as they are in a publicly accessible area and would otherwise probably be wildly used by hikers and cyclists. Although the facilities are older, they are clean and therefore absolutely fine. There are tokens for the shower at reception...for me as a woman, one token was enough... If you are too lazy to heat up the barbecue or gas yourself, you can stop off for a meal at the hotel next door. Again, super friendly service, good food...fair prices...what more could you want? Of course, the towpath along the Ruhr, the old town of Hattingen and the Henrichshütte are recommended as excursion destinations, but there are many other possibilities from here. Complaints? Negative? I wasn't aware of any...we're looking forward to our next short vacation...Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- A. W.May 2017PozytywneQuiet location on the RuhrNegatywneOutdated, unclean sanitary facilities - unfriendly - overpricedPrice and performance do not matchWe were on the site for an overnight stay. The groundsman was not on site despite the stated opening times. When he came, he wasn't exactly friendly. He also disappeared again shortly after our conversation to register. It wasn't even possible to buy shower tokens. They are totally overpriced and the... showers are not worth seeing either, but showering is a must. The sanitary facilities are only partially clean and full of cobwebs. The site itself is unfortunately not very well maintained. The grass is very high. During the registration interview, the groundsman allowed us to stay longer than 12 noon the following year for a small fee. The following year the manager came and didn't even introduce herself and then told us in a very unfriendly manner that there was no such agreement and that we had to leave the site. The site is beautifully situated on the Ruhr and it's not far to Bochum. But we certainly won't be going there again. What's more, you have to pay €2.50 per night for your car and it has to be parked outside the site. It's a shame that you get so little for your money. The groundsman was nowhere on site. Not even during the "office opening hours".Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Matthias M.April 2017PozytywneQuiet location on the RuhrNegatywne- Price/performance ratio is not right at all - Sanitary cleanliness is catastrophic - absolutely nothing for familiesWORST campsite we have ever hadAs a family of 4 with children aged 11 we were very disappointed. In our opinion, the campsite is only suitable for senior citizens or campers with motorhomes without children. The car has to be paid for with a flat rate and is parked outside the site (completely nonsensical explanation: it is a bird... sanctuary. Motorhomes probably drive without gasoline or diesel). We had to pay the full amount on arrival, which is very unusual. In addition, the reception was totally smoky. The sanitary facilities are an outrage. They were not cleaned, toilet paper and paper towels were only replenished after being pointed out and when emptying the chemical toilets there is not even a hose for rinsing in the room provided for this purpose. You can't even wash your hands after cleaning because the washbasin has no water connection. There is NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING for children here.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Ute K.September 2014PozytywneCentral locationNegatywneSanitary facilities old and dishwashing area very unclean.Centrally located for a visit to the Ruhr areaThe location on the Ruhr is beautiful. Otherwise, the place is very simple, the sanitary facilities old and was not cleaned in 4 days - good that few and tidy campers were there. Groundsman is nice, receipt for payment was only given on request. Central for tours in the beautiful Ruhr area, but nothing for longer periods.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.

- Uwe B.September 2014PozytywneLocation, tranquillity, friendlinessNegatywneCleanliness of the sanitary facilitiesDirectly on the Ruhrlocated small CP. First of all, my conclusion: Small, quiet campsite on the edge of the Ruhr metropolis. Despite the shortcomings of the sanitary facilities, we would visit this site again and again If you want to know more, read on... The site is wedge-shaped along the Ruhr. Permanent campers on the... terraced pitches, permanent campers and pitches for tourists in the "front row" along the bank. On the slightly sloping meadow in between, the short-stay campers can sometimes make it very cramped. We used this site to go to a concert. By car 10 minutes, by bike 20 minutes to the Bochum Tent Festival on Lake Kemnader. The campsite is ideal for exploring the highlights of the Ruhr region from a quiet base camp. We were delighted with the quiet & beautiful location in the countryside that the site offers in this densely populated area. The proximity to the Ruhr valley bridge never bothered us, we didn't hear the traffic. The cars have to be parked outside the campsite after unloading. I personally no longer see this as a disadvantage for various reasons... The groundsman is very helpful, friendly and remains calm and composed even when there are difficulties. He tries to fulfill customer wishes. The access road is narrow (see pictures) but easy to negotiate even with our 12m vehicle. The groundsman is also helpful here when entering and exiting. The sink is outside the sanitary building and is functional. Basin for 2 x dishes, 1 x for hand washing, clearly marked. The sanitary building is located a few meters above the pitches in an old fieldstone building, very nice to look at. You enter a small vestibule with an information board, women on the left, men on the right, straight out of the washing machine room with a coin-operated machine for the showers. There is a hand wash basin with soap dispenser and paper towel. The number of toilets, wash cubicles and showers is a little small, but certainly sufficient for most of the year. What we noticed negatively was the general cleanliness in the sanitary building. Old cobwebs on the sides and walls, also at the bottom of the partition walls, tiles that needed to be wiped down again. It was never really clean during our stay. The shower is expensive (one token at 1.20€, only quick showerers get by with one token) and awkward to use: You have to go back into the anteroom of the sanitary building to throw the coin back in. This is particularly "great" if, as happened to me, you've just soaped up... But all in all, this campsite is ideal for us for a few days in the Ruhr region and that's why we'll be going there again for the next Ruhrfestival. By the way, you can eat very well in the hotel and restaurant "An der Kost" next door. Good home-style cooking, among other things.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- michael n.June 2014Beautiful little square right on the Ruhr. All in all a nice little place directly on the Ruhr. Sanitary building ok. Showers too expensive and complicated. Electricity flat rate of 3€ per night very high.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Jürgen H.October 2013A good quiet location for a short cultural vacation in the Ruhr area. Very friendly and helpful groundsman. The owner also happened to be on site and was friendly and helpful. Due to the weather and the shortness of our stay, we were given a pitch in the yard (winter pitch) and not on the campsite lawn.... This allowed us to avoid any problems when pulling out the caravan through the rather narrow, steep driveway. Sanitary facilities were functional and clean. Bread roll service reliable at 9:00 am. Was enough for us.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Tobias M.October 2013Small rustic site with friendly groundsman. In my opinion too expensive for what is on offer.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Ernst B.August 2013The entrance is a little to very narrow, the sanitary facilities are very old, a little few showers (one each for women and men), the groundskeeper is very friendly and helpful, unfortunately the bread rolls come too late in the morning (09.00 am), otherwise everything was OK.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
