- Racing R.April 2024PozytywneReasonable prices Plenty of space and not overcrowded (at least in the low season) Good location for cycling to Port Camargue/Grau du RoiNegatywneLots of mosquitoes Sanitary facilities rather rusticHuge, affordable and right on the endless beachI've been there several times in the low season (spring or fall): a good option when nothing else is open or already closed again in the fall.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Conny K.July 2021PozytywneDirectly on the beach and suitable for dog ownersNegatywneFar too loud in high season. Party atmosphere in the bungalows - day and night!too loud!We left early because there was a constant noise level from party people in the bungalows at night.
It was a shame that the security didn't take action and keep things quiet at night.
We left early after some violent assaults.Przetłumaczone automatycznie. - Rüdiger S.July 2021PozytywneDirectly on a dune landscape by the sea Pool with slides Catering on site Safe check-in under pandemic conditionsNegatywneCleanliness of the sanitary facilities (but depending on the user) Noisy at times during the nightLarge square by the seaThe site is beautifully situated on the dunes facing the sea. The pitches for caravans are parceled out and maneuvering is not always easy due to the narrow paths. Please note: Our pitch did not have a CEE power connection but a simple plug according to the French standard. There is also no toilet paper... in the toilets. The site team makes a lot of effort to keep the site clean, but sometimes can't cope with the behavior of some camping guests. We liked the entertainment program, and we also found the provision (shopping/food) on site to be good. We also liked the pool (limited number of users due to Corona) and the slides.
At night there is a party on some pitches from time to time, which disturbs the night's sleep a little.Przetłumaczone automatycznie. - Klaus H.July 2020PozytywneGood floor for tents. The tent pegs could be hammered in well with the appropriate hammer and held well. Large pitches! Shade available most of the time. Good, relatively large "supermarket" available, as well as other stores. There is a good aqua park, which can be visited free of charge and as often as you like by camping guests. A particular highlight for children!NegatywneCheck-in took quite a long time (queuing plus the check-in itself). Unfortunately there were few lamps. Reading in the evening would only have been possible with a flashlight. The only restaurant had too few staff, which resulted in quite long waiting times. The campsite is a bit far from the beach (it can only be reached on foot). The only children's playground was mostly in the blazing sun, it was then very hot and therefore unattractive for our 4-year-old (fortunately there was still the aquapark).Large campsite with advantages and disadvantagesI have already listed many of the advantages and disadvantages. On the whole, I can recommend the campsite. If you're looking for a small, tranquil campsite, you're in the wrong place. But that doesn't mean that it was noisy (at least not during our stay).
For the restaurant, it's better to drive a few... kilometers, e.g. to Le Grau du Roi. There are restaurants with a nice atmosphere on the Place de la République, by the canal or possibly by the sea. And you wait much less time for service.Przetłumaczone automatycznie. - Sabrina S.June 2019NegatywneWater park closed, sanitary facilities unclean and in need of renovationUnclean, currently no water parkHow this site can be described as comfortable and rated four stars by the ADAC is a mystery to me. The inside of the ladies' showers at the pitches is currently being renovated. This means there are three "toilets" outside, which don't even have glasses and stink of urine. Directly behind them is the... overflowing garbage on the path. In general, the whole sanitary facility is in urgent need of renovation. What annoys me the most: we went to a resort with a water park because of our baby. However, this is currently being renovated. However, not a word was said about this at reception. That's just not on. Maybe you have to pay in advance because of all these circumstances...? By the way, airplanes fly over the site every 30 minutes. Definitely not a recommendation!Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Klaus M.September 2018PozytywneLocation, beach, infrastructureNegatywneCleanliness san areaHuge CP with very good infrastructureVery different sanitary blocks. All without toilet seats and toilet paper. Soap - no. Some have probably already been renovated and some are totally run down. Without a bike you are lost, always long distances. Top: bakery and supermarket with very fair prices!!! Beach - sensational.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Rolf P. M.October 2017PozytywneLarge pitches, location directly on the beach, good road access, clean, friendly and helpful staffNegatywneExpensive check-in with advance payment, distance from the town center, no water and only 6A at the pitchPerfect for a relaxing vacation in the CamargueLarge campsite with appropriate organization directly on the huge sandy beach. Plenty of space in the low season but generally hardly any grass. A little far from the town and we got 3 flat tires from thorns on the road on the bike ride there. If you are mobile by car, for example, this is an ideal starting point for excursions. We have been there several times.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Regine B.September 2017Pozytywne- Beach on the doorstep - nice playground - value for moneyNegatywne- No toilet paper in the toilets - Some "dirty corners" - Quite a high noise levelHuge, but right by the seaWe stayed at the campsite in the off-season at the end of September. And the price-performance ratio is absolutely top (15 euros/night). The campsite is just huge. With all its advantages and disadvantages. The sheer number of mobile homes also takes some getting used to... We were able to choose our... pitch, the sanitary facilities were clean and the beach is right on the doorstep. Disadvantage: the per se quite high noise level due to the size of the campsite and the low-flying airplanes. We found the pitch to be large enough.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- K. G.September 2017PozytywneNext to the beach.NegatywneDirty toilets and showers. Noisy because located just under the flight arrival corridor of the Montpellier airport.DisappointingThe huge Camping de l'Espiguette is close to the immense beach and sand dunes, with its own, private beach entrance. The people at the reception are friendly, and they decide which tent pitch you get (no choice anymore) However, the toilets and showers were very dirty. In addition, the location is just under the flight arrival corridor of the Montpellier airport, which means low flying planes and, thus, heavy noise day and night!Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Marco H.July 2017PozytywneLocation directly on a beautiful endless sandy beach.NegatywneDepending on the location of the pitch, some of the paths are long as the campsite is huge.RecommendableLocated directly on a beautiful and clean sandy beach, has a great infrastructure with a large store, restaurants and sufficient sanitary facilities that are modern and clean. Pitches are spacious, with privacy screens and often in the shade. Perfect for dog owners, as the beach is also open to dogs. Pitches available at short notice even in high season, beach and campsite very pleasant even in high season.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Lutz T.July 2017PozytywneHouse beach and seaNegatywnePitches partly very small, many cars of permanent campers on the siteAir conditioners only suitable for 6 AIn mid-July, 40% of the pitch was still unoccupied, so last-minute bookings should not be made for too long, as a shorter stay will not be accepted afterwards. Costs for camper pitches and two people are reasonable to high. Trees often have no leaves left, there is little shade and the artificial cooling does not work due to the low electricity.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Herbert M.July 2015PozytywneLarge spaces to choose from. Play facilities for children. Shopping on the pitch. Huge sandy beach.Negatywnespace became considerably more expensive from year to year.Plenty of space" We have been to this site 13 times. The site is well maintained. There is a bakery, small supermarket, pizza service, bar and open air evening program. For the children there are playgrounds, children's water land and there are 4 water slides. The evening program changes every 14 days and ranges from... French chansons to western evenings and foam parties. The sanitary facilities are usually clean! In the high season there is a "traffic jam" at the showers in the evening! When looking for a pitch, it's worth walking around a bit first to perhaps find a particularly cozy corner. There is a shuttle service to the beach or you can cycle to the front. It is huge. We were able to fly our small to large 3D kites without any problems. We never made a reservation and always got a spot, even in high season.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Jürgen H.August 2014PozytywneBrilliant location on a very beautiful beach. Catering by supermarket and restaurants.NegatywneOccasional disturbance by party factionHuge resort with charm in the low seasonBrilliant location, you won't find a more beautiful and spacious beach in Europe. The walk there is idyllic, but relatively long from every corner! Transportation for beach equipment is recommended, especially with children. The party crowd is dominant here, which is acceptable for us, as you can also look for a quieter corner in the extensive area. The seawater swimming pool is well thought out. Our children were not drawn here.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Daniel R.August 2014PozytywneBeachNegatywneNoise, sanitation, dirtBiggest mistake :Visiting in the high seasonLet's start on a positive note: the beach and the sea were wonderful. We were there in the first week of August with a VW bus and awning. The site was almost exclusively occupied by French people, which we thought was great. To our astonishment, they also spent the whole day at their pitches instead... of going to the beach... during the day at the beach, we always went back to the pitch in the evening: there was always a party somewhere within a radius of 50 meters, we could tell, as the path to the only acceptable sanitary building was very long. But this had very little to do with sanitary facilities. Dirty toilets, there was never (even directly after cleaning) toilet paper or even soap dispensers at the wc washbasin. There was no separation of men's and women's sanitary facilities. The showers were not lukewarm during the entire stay, they were cold and of course dirty (except after cleaning at 7 a.m.) The operators are not responsible for mosquitoes and ants, but my inquiry at the reception regarding night rest was answered charmingly with a smile and a shrug of the shoulders. They make an effort to guard the entrances with security, but the place itself was a mixture of party zone and gypsy camp during our stay. We spent the days on the beach, so we got some compensation. But this place is worth one star, two stars only for the beach.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Bernd E.August 2013The campsite is located right at the start of the huge beach. So it's ideal for beach lovers. The campsite itself is very large and divided into several sections (campers, mobile homes, chalets but also permanent campers). We had a wooden chalet, which was in a very quiet location. Depending on the location,... it can be relatively noisy for campers. The campsite has almost everything to offer (shopping, restaurant, entertainment, etc.) except a swimming pool for swimmers. We felt very comfortable on the campsite despite the high season.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- martine 2.August 2013Campsite located far from the sea, more than 800m away, whereas on the site it says 2 steps from the sea, direct access... access is indeed direct, you have to take the path for 1km (outward and 1km return) ... The evenings aren't great, there's not much of an atmosphere and there's a lot of security... staff, but that doesn't mean you feel safe, on the contrary ... What's more, the aquatic area is only suitable for younger children/teens, but parents can't go swimming because there's no pool, and the water on the slides is dirty...Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Boleslaw S.June 2013Bylam tam w czerwcu ,bardzo spokojnie ,ruch robil sie tylko w sobote i niedziele, bardzo szeroka plaza ,piekna, piaszczysta. - Flemming S.July 2012Large, slightly cluttered space. Not much shade. No control over where you lie. Long walk to the water as the site itself is large and also a wide beach. A long way to the nearest town but plenty of facilities on site.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Dirk N.June 2012I visited a friend there for 10 days! The whole environment, beach, landscape, places, ... a dream!!! Regarding the campsite, I can only agree with the previous writers: sanitary facilities: never visit without disinfectant! No glasses, no brush, no T-paper and often filthy with lime! The only downer...... the flushing cleans enormously!(laugh). You have to get used to small ants... but they clean the place all the more.... which is basically clean! It's just typical for the ground, sandy with green vegetation The mosquitoes left me alone after 3 days of air conditioning, just eat food rich in garlic ;-) Leisure activities: good for all age groups! There is an adventure water paradise for children, with several slides and play facilities... I enjoyed it myself! ;-) Boat owners have the option of mooring their boat at the camp's own harbor. (Recommendation: a canoe trip through the Ardeche, approx. 110km away - approx. 25€ -- a very special experience for young and old! Pure nature and fun - 20km is enough!!!) Staff usually only speak French, but you can often get very far with English, German is less spoken. The supermarket has everything you need and is very well stocked, some with culinary delights from the Camargue. Conclusion, if you don't have too high expectations you will feel at home there!Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
