As the site was very full due to the Ascension weekend and I had booked too late, I had a very narrow and shady pitch. However, if you book in good time, you have the chance of very nice pitches right on the shore of the lake.

The reservation was uncomplicated by phone. Nice reception from the guys at check-in.
However, the entrance to the site is really very narrow. Had to fold in an outside mirror on my motorhome. No idea why they made it so narrow!
The site... is in a really great location. Lake Möhne is right next to the site and can be seen from almost every pitch.
Every pitch has a power connection. However, there is only 1 water point in front of the wash house. I find that very unusual. It can take 5 minutes to get fresh coffee water. Well.
The sanitary facilities are getting on in years and let's call them functional. Certainly ok for 2-3 nights.
In the kiosk there was the usual ice cream and rolls to order. The restaurant was closed due to Corona.
The site is clearly laid out and was good for the kids with a playground and opportunities for cycling.
A pitch riff (watch out opposite the sanitary area) said he had to pass all the children and they were only allowed to stay in the playground. After asking the real boss, this is of course not the case. Children are of course allowed on all paths.

Booking by phone was uncomplicated and trustworthy. The sanitary facilities are good and up to date; no extra shower tokens are necessary. Quiet despite a few children (including ours) as it gets a bit lost.... Playground by the water with sunbathing lawn - everything is well maintained and nothing has been ripped up. Bread roll service works perfectly, even for one-night stays (we've experienced it quite differently), a friendly man makes fresh pizzas at reasonable prices in almost restaurant quality - top! One wish: it's a very long way from the tent meadow to the washroom/toilet flushing bunnies: 100 m + x, which can be a drag at 3 a.m. with a daughter who has to pee. I received a friendly welcome. The agreed pitch on the water with direct access to stand-up paddling was good. Pitches are a bit small and sloping in places, but OK so far. Short distances to the electricity. Fresh water unfortunately only... at the shower house. Unfortunately only one shower house, but even that was not overcrowded and always clean. Quiet pitches were well maintained. Kiosk with drinks and hot food (e.g. pizza) at reasonable prices. I was there for 4 days, Monday to Thursday and only fled from the rain. Peace and quietNegatywneSanitary facilities, flushing room, no disposal option for waste water from a Womo, PRICEToo expensive for this infrastructureThe campsite is beautifully situated by the lake with a children's playground and swimming facilities. But that's about it! Pitches are relatively small, although we were lucky enough to have found an obvious former permanent pitch (there were still 2 concrete slabs in the grass). The grass on the tourist... pitches is not mown and the lighting is breakneck. The sanitary facilities should be better maintained: cleaning seemed to be a matter of luck, most of the clobrilles (ladies' toilets) didn't fit or were loose, paper was always missing from one toilet, two toilets out of 12 were locked due to defects, as were two showers out of six. The washing-up area could easily do with two more sinks, but there are only three. The whole place made a slightly neglected impression. The price is too high for this: we had to pay extra for our motorcycle with trailer in addition to the Womo, although it was on our pitch and did not take up any additional space.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.

So that you don't have to stand at an angle on a camper meadow. We would have needed 3 wheel chocks... and ended up paying the full price. So be sure to insist on guaranteed confirmation! As dogs are unfortunately not allowed on the main site, we were given a pitch on the small "Stockumer Eichen" offshoot 4 km away (you also get a 20% discount here, especially as not all services are available). Registration takes place via the main site,... which you have to head for first. After the formalities have been dealt with in a very friendly manner, you can get a key for the barrier and the sanitary facilities on the secondary site for a €20 deposit. Then you just have to see for yourself how you manage, especially as there is no staff on site. After consulting with the other camping guests, we chose a pitch with a view of the lake and set ourselves up. Everything went very smoothly. Depending on the pitch, you sometimes need long power cables and you shouldn't forget the Euro plug adapter for the power box. Especially as the pitch is sloping, you should also have equipment with you to compensate for the height. The main road runs between the pitch and the lake. It was wonderfully quiet at night, but the roaring motorcycles were a bit annoying during the day. There is no beach, but you can simply cross the road via a boat entrance into the water for a swim. To sunbathe, you just go back to the campsite. There are sanitary containers for transit campers and a sanitary block for permanent guests. The facilities were clean and perfectly OK; showers cost €1. Overall, the campsite is a little old-fashioned and outdated, but even that has its charm There are lots of things to do on the Möhnesee, with several restaurants and snack bars in the immediate vicinity, as well as a boat rental service. We particularly enjoyed a pedal boat tour. We recommend a trip to Soest and Arnsberg. It was particularly noticeable that the permanent campers were also very friendly and helpful. We were there over Whitsun and the site was full, which unfortunately was noticeable in the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities. Men were ok, women could have been much better. Showers... cost 1 Eur, women with longer hair should rather take 2 Eur with them. Flushing costs 0.20 Eur. Drinking and water connection at the sanitary building. Small playground available.
