- Veronika Z.September 2024PozytywneThe campsite is absolutely great. We were there at the end of September/beginning of October. We chose a nice spot without any constraints. There are no plot boundaries, but lots of nature with a lovely ambience. The operators are approachable for their guests. The restaurant is also highly recommended. All in all, great - we'll be back.NegatywneThe meadow takes some getting used to if it rains for several days. But after rain comes sun again, as we all know.Great vacation daysSuper place - lots of nature around the lake. Everything perfect.
Clean sanitary facilities, washing machine available - restaurant with great food.
Pedal boats can be hired. Fenced bathing area available.Przetłumaczone automatycznie. - Judith O.September 2024PozytywneLighting fires at your spot. Choose your own place. Lovely views. - John G.August 2024Pozytywneclean restrooms, comfortable showers restaurant for food and drinks well kept site with nice alleys and green meadows many tourist attractions in close proximity to the siteNegatywnenothing i can think ofBest campsite in PolandStayed for more than a week and enjoyed every moment of it. Upon arrival we received a tourist information package in english with all the highlight, that was a good start. After we choose a spot on the campsite we were surprised about the layout of the place, it has a great variety of shaded spots for... people with all kinds of preferences.
Facilities clean and not to far away. The restaurant on site we used almost every day, friday it's 'camping BBQ', in a nice setting we drank and ate until late, great to get to know our fellow-campers.
Fresh rolls in the morning, friendly staff, english-speaking reception.
Owners friendly, helpful and always present.
I can only recommend this to anyone visiting this part of Poland, and can easily say this was the best place we have visited during our three week tour of PL & CZ. - Kerstin S.July 2024PozytywneAlso for large vehicles.Negatywneonly 2 fresh water tapsSuperVery quiet, well located, idyllic campsite by the lake for relaxing.
Very family-friendly.
Barbecue evenings are organized.

Simple but clean campsite.Przetłumaczone automatycznie. - Kees R.June 2023PozytywneNever before did I find a host / owner as HELPFUL and FRIENDLY as Matthijs! He spent many hours to install the e-toll app, which is one of the very worst apps ever designed! The food in the restaurant was really tasty and the price was most reasonable. The campsite is kept very clean, which is very important to us. The owners have built the campsite from scratch and did an excellent job! I would recommend this campsite without any reservation!!NegatywneEverything is very well organized: no problems whatsoever!MrPlease refer to my comments above.
One of the most helpful and friendly campsite owners (Matthijs) ever!
Matthijs speaks excellent Polish, Dutch (he was born in the Netherlands), English and German and even some French!
The food in the restaurant is very good, large portions on your plate and most... reasonable prices.
The pitches are among the largest I’ve ever encountered and kept very clean.
The campsite and its surroundings are very quiet, which we like very much.
The campsite is in the middle of a very rural area with a nearby (5km) town with ample shops.
Matthijs has made a sizeable (42 pages) brochure, each in several languages with many color pictures, extensively describing all interesting places in the area. Never before have I seen such a complete booklet written by the campsite owner!!!
I have camped on sites on several continents, and this site most certainly ranks among the top ten!
In short, do yourselves a favor and spend some time on this campsite! - Silke R.July 2022PozytywneQuiet location, operator is German-speaking, sanitary facilities always clean, free choice of pitchesNegatywneFood in the restaurant was not the bestwell-kept CPwell-kept and quietly located CP, sanitary facilities were always clean, we would like to come back againPrzetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Paul A.August 2019PozytywneNice German-speaking site operator, Clean sanitary facilities.Super place, highly recommendedGreat campsite with a nice German-speaking site manager. The restaurant is highly recommended. The sanitary facilities were always clean. There is an ice cream parlor and a small grocery store with a bakery about 2 km away. The nearest larger town is also only 5 km away.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Marcus S.July 2019PozytywneIdeal for relaxing, nice friendly staff, boss also speaks German, top sanitary facilitiesNegatywneThe site is in the middle of the fields, so there is nothing nearby.Nice quiet placeVery nice campsite with a beautiful swimming pond. There are also pedal boats that you can use free of charge, the restaurant is also good. You can also get bread rolls for breakfast here. Beautiful pitches and there is also a small viewing tower.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Rudi d.August 2017PozytywneGood and tasty food. Good hostNegatywnePlumbing inadequate and poorly cleaned. Poor receptionNever again!!!Nice campsite but apparently only 1 is the boss.... the wife of the owner? Reception very lousy and we had better leave according to the owner's wife who does not want to speak a word Dutch. So do not know Polish or English......you have a problem if Mathijs is not there. For people with teenagers.......... there is nothing to do for them, so don't go! No entertainment. You can eat well and that's the only positive thing. Customer is not king here, they are more interested in weddings or parties in the (nice) luxury restaurant. Places are good, but toilets in the emergency building are just closed in bad weather and you have to walk 250 meters to the entrance for the other toilets and showers. Toilets and showers absolutely imperfectly clean, no or too little privacy and in the main toilets-showers building the birds sit above you pooping. Also absolutely inadequate by Dutch standards. Given the reception of the owner and his attitude afterwards, we will never come back and would rather spend our money on someone else. Too bad for Mathijs that he has no "hostess". For any entertainment you should not be here. no canteen, no TV etc. We have visited many Polish and Ned.-Polish campsites that looked less, but at least one feels at home there. We will never come back here again!!! Fam. De Koning p.s. Why almost everyone give such high marks to this campsite...those people are not opjective and probably friends and/or family.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.Odpowiedź od Camping Forteca March 23, 2018Dear de Koning family, in any case we are glad that you had a good meal with us and find Mathijs a good host. Furthermore, this comment is quite exaggerated. We also did not expect that you would judge us so negatively on several sites, especially after we had a nice chat and you had all the space to... tell us personally what you did not like. I find it rather weak to post such comments afterwards but that clearly says more about your values than ours. Kind regards from Uciechów.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- joe k.August 2017PozytywneVery friendly Polish/Dutch management, quiet location, sanitary facilities always clean. Tasty food in the restaurant.NegatywneSometimes long distances to the sanitary facilities (depending on the location of the pitch)Somewhat secluded place. Owners very friendly! It is a large site. If you have your pitch further back, you have a long walk to the sanitary building. The site has a small lake with bathing facilities. Great location for trips to Wroclaw and the Owl Mountains. Also good for relaxation.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Uwe K.June 2017PozytywneSanitary facilities and the restaurant on site, the peace and quietNegatywneI can't think of any, it was great!Pleasant weekA pleasant week at the campsite in a former gravel pit. There's hardly any sign of it now. Sanitary facilities top and clean, kitchen highly recommended, friendly site management, only the weather was not always rain-free - that's just the way it is when camping. Cabins well equipped. Quite easy to find. Thank you!
- Uwe B.May 2016PozytywneGreat location, friendly boss, restaurantNegatywneCleanliness and availability of sanitary facilitiesTop campsite for exploring the Owl Mountains and Zoptenberg/SobotkaThe campsite, hotel, restaurant and vacation cabins are located on a former sandpit that the Dutch owner has converted into a small paradise. We used this site as a base for exploring the Owl Mountains, the Zoptenberg and Wroclaw (approx. 40 km). We have now been to this site twice (October 2015 and... May 2016) and would choose this site again on our next visit to Lower Silesia. The sanitary facilities were ok, but only because the site was only occupied by about 3-4 units on both visits. It was only cleaned very rarely, and during our visit in May 2016 only the ladies' toilet and shower were open. Otherwise great pitches, either sunny or in the shade of the trees. A beach volleyball court was built at the back in May 2016 and a second wash house is to be added in this area in the next few years. This would further enhance the site. The owner is very nice and speaks very good German. You can eat well and cheaply in the restaurant. It can get noisy at the weekend as the restaurant is used by the locals for various parties. For us it was not disturbing, it was not too loud despite the live music. Very good shopping facilities in the next town (4km). Overall a great "feel-good place"Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Gerhard M.August 2015PozytywneDutch owner. Rural location near a medium-sized town. Beautiful surroundings very suitable for bicycle tours. Beautiful pitches.NegatywneAre only Dutch people at the campsite.RuralNice small/medium campground located in the countryside in southwest Poland. - Michael H.June 2015PozytywneNice and friendly staff, good standard, cosy restaurant.NegatywneCan't really think of any...Great spot, good standard! We've been a few times, and it's been a nice experience every time! The owner, Mr. Dutch Guy, is very friendly and makes you feel welcome straight away! He speaks English, Polish and I bet his Dutch isn't too bad either :-) The pitches are nice and level, power and WiFi works great. It's the sort of... place where we just let the kids roam free as they want (5 and 7 yo) or even let them go for a sail in the paddleboats. Every corner of the lake is visible from the surrounding pitches. The restaurant serves Polish food, soups, salads and has a childrens menu. No Dutch specialities, because - as the owner claims - there aren't any :-) It's very close to Wrocław, which is becoming an ever more popular tourist destination in Poland.
- Jerry N.September 2014Pozytywne- lake-view from the spot - good facilities - convenience store at walking distance - enthusiastic owners - on sight restaurantNegatywne- it is hard to get on and off the ramp leading to the campground with an RV - before we found the place we passed by due to lack of signsGreat to visit, you WILL be satisfiedWhat a splendid spot, I traveled quit a bit, I have to say that this site was really impressive. After renting a RV in Berlin we were planning on visiting the nazi-camps and the city of Cracow. We ended up spending more than a week in this exciting place under the sun and didn't visit Cracow:) But that's... ok, because we enjoyed a wonderful stay. The spot we camped on had a magnificent view on the lake, like a fairy tale...birds singing, trees whispering in the wind. The reception of the owners (dutch/polish) was very welcoming, the owner was really interested in where we came from and what we were interested in visiting, he provided us with some useful advice. At night we made campfires and we could use the paddle boats during the day. Swimming in the lake was a delight every morning with it being warmed up after a long hot summer. It's a small lake, not suitable for water-sports (except for swimming). The town nearby has a nice market and a few supermarkets and all the things you need. It has some history but for the real historic sites you have to visit the city of Wroclaw. It is only about 35 miles away. It has a medieval car free center, all the sights are at walking distance. Facilities at the campsite are cleaned several times a day, we were able to fill up our RV with fresh water. The restaurant on the sight we used regularly for dinner and a goodbye breakfast. The menu is limited but I can recommend to just trust the cook and order the special of the day which is usually typical polish food. It's great value for money, especially compared to German prices. Looking back at this stay, it makes me feel lucky I was able to stay there and experience a relaxed and friendly stay.
- yvonne d.August 2012it's a wonderful campground. It really gives you a vacation feeling. The restaurant is great. Owner gives lots of tips for what to do while camping there.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Michael B.August 2012Idyllic bathing lake with high banks. Spacious pitches on the high shore around the lake with, without exception, wonderful views over the lake, partly of the foothills of the Giant Mountains. The site is run by a very friendly Dutch manager who also speaks perfect German. Accordingly, the camping guests... are predominantly Dutch. Simple but well-kept sanitary facilities. Hot water and well-functioning W-Lan included. Very good and reasonably priced campsite restaurant. Shopping facilities in neighboring Uciechow (1km) and in Dzierzoniow (Reichenbach) 5km away. Schweidnitz and Kreisau a good 20km away and Sobotka with the Zobten (also 20km) can be reached by bike.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
