- Sven "Knausrich" B.April 2024PozytywneClose to Brussels, clean placeNegatywneOnline bookingBrussels up closeCampsite for motorhomes and caravans. We wanted to book online and were turned away due to overcrowding. But as we were already familiar with this, we arrived anyway and lo and behold, there was space not just for us. And we were given a friendly welcome, initiated and provided with tips and tricks for... a pleasant stay. The site and facilities are clean and well maintained. And just over 30 euros per night all inclusive is not excessive considering the proximity to Brussels and the fact that there are hardly any pitches here. Tickets for a trip to Brussels can be purchased at reception. And remember, camper van drivers greet each other.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Linda D.September 2022PozytywneFlat RV site.NegatywneWatch out for side mirrors. GPS sends caravans via dangerous wrong way through narrow residential areas instead of suitable regional roads Brusselsestwg & Wolvertemsestwg. Grimbergen also suffers from filles on local bicycle roads due to creeping traffic that cuts off freeways onto tourist roads (hystoric St. Servaas chapel in center on Spanish Linde= dangerous & extremely busy creeping traffic). Green hystoric Grimbergen is not what it once was due to current traffic congestion on local bike roads.Too crowded, sooty smell from traffic on local bike roads.Green pearl is not what it used to be because of heavy light-polluting traffic on unsuitable local roads.
- Ignaz G.June 2022PozytywneQuiet and yet well connected to BrusselsNegatywneno shopping facilitiesa cozy and clean campsiteWe came across this campsite for our short vacation with the aim of visiting Brussels. Although it is in a quiet location, it is still in the outskirts.
Unfortunately, there are no shops within walking distance, so you have to go by bike or plan to do your shopping beforehand.
The sanitary facilities were clean.
We would go to this site again if we were in the area.
Bus to Brussels 300 meters away from the camping. Geert, de eigenaar verkoopt tickets voor de bus en geeft informatie. Very practical.
Wij were a full week op deze camping en kunnen het iedereen aanraden!Przetłumaczone automatycznie. - Thorsten v.August 2020PozytywneThe trees...NegatywneSome very sunny places. Some places a little difficult to manage with a wheelchair.A really great and very quiet placeA really nice campsite as a starting point for visits to Brussels and Mechelen. Bus stop 200 m from the site.

The place is very nice, the sanitary facilities clean. Only the unfriendliness was very annoying on both days. No matter what information you wanted you always had the feeling that you were disturbing because the TV program was more important. A pity as everything else was fine. We smiled about it and enjoyed the day in Brussels anyway.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Karin B.July 2017PozytywneLocation Price-performance ratioNegatywneAircraft noise, especially during the week and at nightGood choice for visiting Brussels and the surrounding areaCheck in: uncomplicated and friendly Pitches: some extremely sloping, very different sizes, peripheral pitches with lots of shade from the large trees, nice privacy protection from shrubs between the pitches, meadowland Sanitary facilities: housed in containers, simple but everything there and clean,... toilet paper in large dispensers in the vestibule Infrastructure: no store, bread rolls to order, no playground, free WiFi at reception Location: 45 minutes by bus (200m to the left of the campsite) to Brussels North station, then take the METRO (go up one floor!!) to the city center. Costs for bus 2 euros one way, we then switched to car and parking garage because parking in Brussels costs approx. 14 Euro for 12 hours, alternative by car to the Atomium (parking 6 Euro for the whole day) there is directly a stop of the Hop On Hop Of (2 lines through the whole of Brussels - 24 hours ticket for 2 adults and a child 65 Euro) Price: 27 Euro with caravan is fully in order Approach: via narrow streets (had a detour), access after a cemetery on the right side about 50 meters then comes the entrance to an outdoor pool on the right and is also the entrance to the CPPrzetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Susanne K.July 2017PozytywneClean, modern, uncomplicated, friendly, quiet, reasonably priced.NegatywneNoneAlso perfect for discerning Brussels touristsThe extremely modern sanitary facilities are impressive, perfectly planned and very well maintained. The ambience is also impressive, with various plants, oleanders, palm trees and fragrant flowering shrubs such as lavender. Campers feel very comfortable here, not least because the price-performance ratio is absolutely right, there are no additional costs for showers!Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Thomas G.May 2017PozytywneQuiet, well-kept, good pitch size,NegatywneNo bread roll serviceSimply superWas asked about pitch requirements (electricity, alignment of SAT system) when registering. The site makes a well-kept impression and the operator is busy maintaining the site during the day. It is quiet at night. Shopping approx. 1km by bike, so no problem. Ideal as a starting point for visiting Brussels. Oh yes, one more thing: the operator speaks fluent German, which I think is a great advantage (although I speak English).Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Christoph B.October 2016PozytywneProximity to BrusselsNegatywne----Nice place, good for a visit to BrusselsVery nice and friendly reception, we were told how to get to Brussels by bus when we checked in. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities were only partially open, but clean. The pitches were also partly closed off, so that there was only a small selection of pitches available. We would love to come again.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Dagmar J.September 2016Pozytywnethe proximity to BrusselsGreat campsite for a stay in BrusselsCamping Grimbergen is a campsite without frills. Well-kept, with spotlessly clean sanitary facilities. There is an hourly bus service to Brussels, but it can be difficult to return to the campsite in the evening.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.

- jluc D.August 2015Pozytywnepossibilité d'aller sur Bruxelles en bus ! (6 euros for a family of five)NegatywneProximité de l'aéroport (bruit)A recommander !Un coin sympa avec des sanitaires magnifiques et propres. - Patrick S.June 2015PozytywneBeautifully situated, Grimbergen very nice, friendly staff, nice pitches, good connections to Brussels.NegatywneSanitary not inviting (Dixi charm), no bread service, supermarket quite far away, plots partly uneven.Nice place with somewhat inadequate sanitary facilitiesThe site is somewhat hidden in the middle of the residential area of Grimbergen. When you arrive at the site, you are pleasantly surprised by the rather small but cozy area. You feel like you're on the edge of a forest. The site owner gives us a friendly welcome in German. He always finds a pitch and... even arranges a place on the meadow for the Dutch motorcycle group arriving after the official site closure. The pitches are a little uneven in places, but spacious enough and the electricity columns are well distributed. The downside of the site, however, is certainly the sanitary facilities. The facilities exude the charm of porta-potties. Unfortunately, the smell of toilet always floated slightly through the air. Toilet paper is available, but you have to take a few meters from the roll in the middle aisle before you do your business. This means that sometimes too much paper is left in the cubicles. Not nice and not ideal from an environmental point of view. The cleanliness of the facilities was fine so far. There was nothing to complain about here. The site is of course predestined for excursions to Brussels. We also did this from there. You can get into the city by bus. One line runs just a few meters from the square. However, this line does not run for quite as long in the evening. If you want to stay longer in Brussels, you can take other lines to the center of Grimbergen until late in the evening. From this stop, it is just under a quarter of an hour's leisurely walk to the square. Unfortunately, there is no bread roll service at the campsite. We got breakfast at the supermarket, which is a good distance from the campsite. Many campers therefore did without the fresh pastries (not us, of course ;)). Grimbergen is a very pretty little suburb. The Fenixhof is a very nice pub, right next to the abbey church and the brewery. You feel at home here and it's not far from the square. We liked Grimbergen almost better than Brussels. Incidentally, aircraft noise was not necessarily an issue for us. However, we also live in the city.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.

- jens g.August 2014PozytywneQuiet. Convenient. Ideal starting point for Brussels.NegatywneThere is a large power station nearby. It's probably a coal-fired power station - they wouldn't give me any details. It didn't look active.A positive surprise. When we arrived in thecPampa we had almost lost hope, but the small, fine campsite was a pleasant surprise. Ideal as a base for excursions to Brussels. Nothing for a permanent stay. Unfortunately, our pitch had no electricity and was still floodlit at night. But we liked it.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- wolfgang s.August 2014nothing to complain aboutFriendly reception! Bus connections, shopping facilities, sightseeing recommendations were explained to us directly at check-in (without having asked) ....... for this an EXTRA STAR ! Parceled pitches with enough space for small camper, awning and car, always clean sanitary facilities! Great starting... point for a visit to Brussels (by bus 2,20 /pers. (by bus 2.20 /person, day ticket is only worthwhile if you want to drive around several times during the day, if you only go in and out once a day you pay extra with the day ticket).Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Steffen H.June 2014PozytywneVery clean campsite, very clean sanitary facilities, quiet location, good connections to Brussels, tranquil village of Grimbergen.NegatywneOccasional aircraft noise - but it's easy to endure.Super camping with a good starting point for sightseeingYou get a very nice welcome at the campsite. A very nice groundsman. The campsite is on the outskirts of the village. There is an outdoor pool next door, but we didn't notice any noise from it. The only source of noise is the occasional airplane taking off. The pitches offer plenty of space. Even larger... vehicles can be parked easily. The sanitary facilities are very clean and well maintained! Toilet paper and soap are available. There is a bus stop about 250m away. From there, buses run to Brussels North Station. This is ideal for excursions. Grimbergen also offers a lot to see. The town center, with its abbey, cozy pubs and restaurants, is about a 5-10 minute walk away. Our conclusion: The stay is very pleasant. The campsite is ideal for longer stays!Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Hans K.June 2014PozytywneGood bus connections to Brussels. Restaurants between 50m and 1000m awayNegatywneNothing serious, maybe a little aircraft noise sometimes.Gladly againMost of the positive things have already been written. A brasserie right at the parking lot in front of the campsite with good food, the campsite is well located for visiting the city of Brussels. The staff is friendly and helpful and there are very good sandwiches on site.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
