Only 1 x fresh water for the entire site, except in the sanitary facilities.beautiful directly on the MoselleThe location of the CP is very nice, the boss friendly and helpful. The sanitary facilities too small, but very clean. Not enough washing up facilities. No possibility to just wash your hair, you always have to take a shower. There is only one fresh water tap for the whole site (except sanitary facilities).... Depending on the pitch, there are long distances to walk. There are not really any waste water outlets, nor is there a separate dog area. At weekends, the road opposite can be quite noisy, even at night, and there is sometimes aircraft noise. AND.... THERE ARE NO WASHING MACHINES !!!!

The surrounding area has a lot to offer. The location is perfect for hiking, running, cycling, trail running, MTB, gravel... biking and many other activities. There are also excellent restaurants and, of course, very good Moselle wine in the immediate vicinity.

Je komt voor de omgeving en de camping voldeed aan onze wensen. Eigenaresse is gedreven en altijd aanwezig om er voor haar gasten te zijn. Everything is very well-kept and not only our pitch - unfortunately full in the sun during the day - was worth the trip to the Moselle. Cycling tours along the Moselle, boat trips on the Moselle, good food... with a delicious Riesling, fresh bread rolls etc. every morning from the bakery on site. A butcher (highly recommended), a small supermarket and a bakery within walking distance in the village - what more do you need to feel good! The manager is always friendly, takes care of everything and has everything under control.
The sanitary facilities are ok and were always spotless. Certainly not so suitable for children... as there is no playground.
The Corona protection measures are very good and were also largely adhered to.
The village of Trittenheim can be reached on foot in 10 minutes. The direct location on the Moselle with the steep vineyards on the opposite side is very beautiful. At night it was very quiet on the site, during the day you can of course hear the winegrowers' equipment in the vineyard, but we didn't find this particularly... disturbing.
The owner couple, Mrs. and Mr. Schuck, go out of their way to make sure their guests have a great vacation. They were always very friendly and helpful, the site in general and the sanitary facilities were always clean. The corona protection measures were well thought out and sensibly implemented, we did not find them to be a significant restriction on freedom of movement. An estimated 98% of guests adhered to them responsibly. However, this did not apply to some ignorant or perhaps stupid people. In the dishwashing area, posters indicated that only one camper unit was allowed to wash dishes at a time. It often happened that you were washing up and another stranger came right next to you to wash up too, twice even without a face mask. But you can't blame the Schuck family for this, after all they are adult guests who can be expected to act responsibly.
The village of Trittenheim has an adequate infrastructure, with a bakery, butcher's shop, a small food market, bank and petrol station not far from the campsite. The baker comes to the campsite every morning at 8:15 a.m. and has various rolls, breads and pastries on board.

In the first row you have the opportunity to stand directly by the water, partly under trees.
No permanent campers, so with a bit of luck there may be a free pitch.
The bridge to the other side is right next door and has little traffic.
Unfortunately,... the sound of all vehicles (tractors, cars, motorcycles, buses) through the surrounding vineyards remains directly in the valley and is very audible! This is a real negative point.
Furthermore, the sanitary facilities are closed (due to Corona?!) from 22h to 07:00. I.e. you should be self-sufficient or coordinate your business well.
For these two points there is a star deduction, but otherwise the CP is very well maintained, the owners are extremely friendly and helpful and the cleanliness in all areas is top!

Thank you for your feedback. The showers are closed around 10 p.m., or later depending on operation, as the facility is cleaned and disinfected again in the evening to protect our guests. Hygiene measures have a high priority so that we can remain open for you. The rest of the facility... is closed from 23:30 to 07:00. Anyone who does not have their own toilet will of course be given a key for the night to use the toilets and washbasins. There is a restriction on the number of people for this reason the measure applies!
Furthermore, we do not wish to serve the guests of the neighboring motorhome site, who have no claim to our facilities.

No cars allowed on the site, which was sometimes a bit annoying for us campers. Bread roll service at 8 a.m. with a horn, so at least we were awake. There are no pitches, you just stand next to each other. And then there's the rose garden, beautiful pitches. Bread roll service from the bakery car, butcher in the village and the ostrich taverns are great. Hiking and moped riding very easy. The stores in Trittenheim are within easy walking distance, and there is a larger EDEKA supermarket in Piesport.
