About 2.5 km from the village, in the middle of the forest on a small hill, it is above all quiet...very quiet!
The driveway to the site is... a bit narrow and steep for larger camper vans, but no problem for panel vans. You don't see any larger vehicles here at all, the visitors tend to be campers and "modest" motorhome owners.
The reception at the exclusively French-speaking reception was friendly and amateurish (vacation jobbers), but also nice. The prices in July are unbeatable at €15 (vehicle, 2 people) per night and you even get electricity for just €3 extra - fantastic!
The pitches are all on firm, stony ground, in a more or less sparse wood. Plenty of shade is guaranteed on most of the pitches, but only a few are halfway flat.
The small, simple sanitary building is basic and a bit old, but always clean. There are toilet seats and toilet paper, hot water for flushing and good showers. We would have expected anything else, especially at this low price, but were pleasantly surprised by the standard.
You can go on wonderful cycling (Gordes, Rousillion) and hiking tours (e.g. the famous "Les Gorges de Veroncle" gorge hike) directly from the campsite. Simply awesome!
There is no shop/bread roll service or similar, but there is a small shop/epicerie about 2 km from the village of Murs, which is open half a day and sells bread, cheese, drinks and the essentials. Not really a food market, so you might want to stock up on a few things before your stay.
We spontaneously extended our stay because it was so nice and we really liked it - a real tip!Przetłumaczone automatycznie. - wilhelm v.April 2019Pozytywneabsolute peaceNegatywneremote location, but that is not a disadvantage herePure tranquillitySmall site under tall trees, absolutely quiet and secluded, small, simple but spotlessly clean sanitary facilities, free choice of pitch, reception only manned briefly in the evening, staff very friendly, then approaches you, Murs approx. 2 km away, there is a small store there for the essentialsPrzetłumaczone automatycznie.
