- Thomas K.June 2023PozytywneLocation, facilities, leisure activities,NegatywneI can't think of anything at the moment. Access to the North Sea is blocked due to a building site.Great placeVery well run campsite. Unfortunately there is no pool. We would visit this site again.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Gabi T.August 2020Pozytywnebeautiful natureNegatywnetoo loud overallUnsuitable for those seeking peace and quietWe had reserved a pitch for 2 weeks.
As soon as we arrived, there were countless dogs barking from different directions. It sounded like a dog kennel at an animal shelter. This subsided over time. Dogs must be kept on a lead. This is also done, but on a long lead, so that the dogs run everywhere on the... pitches and 2 also left their piles on our pitch. Although these were removed after we saw that we were sitting in the awning, it is unappetizing to see a shitty.... dog in front of you! A group of partying girls "entertained" us one weekend. People walked across our pitch as a shortcut. Strange children played on our pitch in front of the awning and ran around behind our caravan. We don't know anything like that!
What was particularly noticeable was the constant slamming of car doors, mostly by campers and caravanners who liked to open their doors and hatches often and also loudly pull out or stow away tables and chairs. Apparently, most of the campers there were competing in being loud, as the washing up was also done with a roar and the toilet and shower cubicle doors were slammed. Noise all around is normal when camping. Here, the noise level was noticeably high. Of course we could have continued - but reservation fee and payment on arrival (we don't know that either), it would not have returned.
The location on the Lauwersmeer and the surrounding nature are unbeatable. But if we have another vacation in Holland coming up, we won't choose this place again.Przetłumaczone automatycznie. - Guntram H.September 2019PozytywneQuiet location and easy to reach on foot or by bike. It is a campsite and not a fairgroundlate in the year and yet everything is thereMid-September is probably no longer the season in this area. Nevertheless, everything was open and sufficiently available. Everything a camper needs. Clean sanitary facilities, plenty of hot water, a level pitch with electricity and - if necessary - a chemical toilet. From here you can go on extensive... cycling tours. An ornithological center is not far away. You can cycle for miles on the paved outer side of the dunes and observe all kinds of seabirds. The restaurant on site is excellent and the harbor of Lauwersoog is not far away. There are special fish restaurants there. For us it was a good place, which we will probably visit again on occasion.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Angelika P.August 2019PozytywneSurroundingsNegatywneUnacceptable wash housesSanitary disgustingWe were there at the beginning of August. The lady at reception was very friendly. She made every effort to find a suitable pitch for us. The site has a lot to offer and the surroundings are great. However, we left after 2 days because the sanitary facilities were terrible. Even the first visit to the... toilet was a deterrent. There was a thick brown crust at the end of the drain pipe, which had formed over time because it wasn't cleaned properly. Cleaning was done between 9 and 10 am when most people shower. It was swept around between the people and the hair and other dirt was draped evenly around the feet of the partitions. The inside of the shower walls were full of soap residue and other dirt. It stayed that way. We have experienced on other campsites that 1 wash house or an area is closed off in the afternoon to clean it thoroughly, and that daily. Given the prices, I would expect the same here. It was just disgusting.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Jana I.July 2019PozytywneThe surroundings The Wadden Sea The beach of Lauwersmeer The size of the pitchesNegatywnePrice-performance ratio in the restaurant is not right. The food is good, but clearly not enough. The sani is too small when fully occupiedVery niceWe were there with two children and two dogs during the high season (summer vacation). There was a lot on offer. The surrounding nature is simply beautiful. The comfort pitches are very large and parceled out by hedges and trees. The sani is a bit outdated and the restaurant on site is overpriced. But otherwise highly recommended and we will definitely go there again sometime.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Dirk K.July 2019PozytywneShort distancesNegatywneNoneNice quiet placeIf you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you. Great paths for walking and cycling. The restaurant Het Booze Wijf is highly recommended. Short distance to the harbor (North Sea). Very friendly reception.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- B. B.June 2019PozytywneClean sanitary facilities, friendly staff, central starting point for excursionsNegatywneLarger shopping facilities are far awayBeautifully situated placeWe stayed at the campsite for 4 nights in June, we had booked in advance. Despite the changeable weather, we spent some relaxing days. The campsite is beautifully situated, with access to Lauwersmer. The fishing port and ferry port are easy to reach by bike. The sanitary facilities are good and mostly... clean, and the staff are extremely friendly. Unfortunately, our pitch was very shady, but this is probably an advantage in summer. There is a well-stocked small supermarket where you can always buy fresh rolls or bread without having to order in advance.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Harald B.May 2019PozytywneLocation, cleanliness of the sanitary facilitiesNegatywne...Very pleasant campsiteVery nice campsite. Simple sanitary facilities, but clean and well-kept. The site itself is relatively large, but pleasantly parceled out by rows of trees and hedges. There was a fish festival in the harbor on Saturday and a marathon on Sunday. Both days with lots of people. Despite the additional stress, the staff were very friendly and relaxed. Dogs are welcome and don't have to pay out of season thanks to ACSI. Conclusion: again and again!Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Klaus M.April 2019PozytywneGood price/performance ratio ( ACSI) over Easter! Nice large pitches, well-stocked supermarketNegatywnetoo few/too small sanitary facilities, no North Sea beach, no indication of reservation fee (€9.50) when booking onlineBeautiful family campsite in a nature reserveVery nice central area with a great playground, restaurant with a tasteful ambience. The supermarket was well stocked and open daily. Recommended fish restaurant at the harbor.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Astrid W.July 2018PozytywneThe location is great, shallow sloping water, very warmNegatywneSee above, disaster in the sanitary blocksVery good location, the rest not so greatThe site is very nicely situated, you can cycle very well. The sanitary blocks were a disaster. 2 houses with 5 showers and 5 toilets each. Unfortunately, hardly any water comes out of the showers, you only have 6 minutes. Impossible with children. The washbasin is so high that small children can't reach... it themselves. Cobwebs everywhere and almost no cleaning. The large playground at the entrance is great, the small playgrounds in the camp bays are almost all rotten. There are signs everywhere at the lake saying there is blue-green algae. But we had great weather and swimming was no problemPrzetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Urlauberin U.May 2018PozytywneFor families with small children: very nice swimming area,NegatywneChalets made of plastic. Here I would like to have a pollutant measurement of the indoor air1 week beach chaletThe grounds are beautifully situated on a large lake. Overall, everything is clean and well maintained. It was not possible to get an inventory list in advance. On request we were told "furnished as standard". The chalet is well and functionally furnished. The kitchen is somewhat under-equipped, e.g.... no deep plates, no toaster, no dishwasher, only 3 coffee spoons. In terms of cleanliness it was okay. We had a 5 person chalet. One bedroom with double bed. (very comfortable, approx. 70x200m single mattresses; box spring) The triple room is very narrow and only suitable for 3 smaller children (offset bunk bed) The house would be completely unsuitable for 5 adults in terms of sleeping space. Otherwise it is bright and friendly furnished. What was missing throughout the house were hooks, coat hooks, towel rails ... On the terrace there is no sun protection, no seat covers for the plastic chairs. The location directly on the lake is very nice. The lake is initially very shallow and therefore very suitable for small children. There are small sandy beaches. At the weekend, however, you had the feeling that the bathers were lying in the living room. However, we were particularly bothered by the smell of the house. It is a plastic house and it smells very strongly. The smell goes away quite quickly if you keep the doors and windows open, but when you come back after an excursion it is awful. We had no problem with mosquitoes, perhaps due to the early season. Due to the nature of the windows (open outwards) it is not possible to install mosquito nets. There is a large central playground for children which is very nice. What we didn't realize was that there is no possibility to get to a beach in the immediate vicinity. Which for us is somehow part of a vacation in Holland. On Friday evening there was a party in the restaurant. It was very loud and sleep was only possible in the early hours of the morning. We are unlikely to return as the fumes from the chalet gave us the feeling that it was a health hazard.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Kerstin K.August 2017PozytywneBeautiful location directly on the Lauwersmeer Swimming area with very shallow slopeNegatywneBeach charlet in very poor condition. Playground partly defective Indoor playground very old Poor animationBeautiful locationWe booked the campsite because we thought it would be something for children. The outdoor playground and the indoor playground were not in good condition. The beach chalet we had booked was in such a bad condition that we left it after one day and moved to an apartment on the dike. The park is absolutely not recommended for small children. Due to the many mosquitoes it was hardly possible to sit outside in the evening.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Joachim L.May 2017Pozytywnevery spaciousNegatywneNothing going on in the immediate vicinityVery quiet locationA spacious, park-like complex, beautifully situated, very spacious. The sanitary facilities were tip-top, the ladies at reception were less professional, but hopefully that will change at the end of the season. You can do a lot of cycling in the area. Otherwise there's not much going on in the area, pure nature. Good value for money thanks to ACSI.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Renate B.May 2017PozytywneBeautifully situated Great for cyclingNegatywneUnfortunately, we got an unfavorable place in the middle of families who knew each other and claimed the traffic circle almost for themselvesVery nice campsiteUnfortunately we were in a traffic circle with seasonal campers who all knew each other and the children (between 10 and 16) some younger, played ball games all day without a break until 11:00 p.m. So you must not misunderstand, we have nothing against children playing, but that was too much of a good... thing, so we could not think of relaxing, they had their pitch when they had played rugby bus almost at our table, so as I said, I have nothing against children playing, but that was disturbing. However, 11:00 pm was really quiet and the families were otherwise very nice, but that was a no goPrzetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Karl-Heinz K.May 2016PozytywnePeace and relaxation outside the main season on the CP and in the nature reserveNegatywnePlaces are a bit far away, as are other shopping facilities for food. Bread rolls cost €0.60 at the CP supermarket, too expensive!A visit to CP-Lauwersoog is worthwhile because of the good cycling opportunities.Nice CP site with nice pitches/sanitary facilities and good cycling opportunities in the area. Good fish restaurant outside the CP in the nearby large harbor. Allocation of pitch for motorhomes to be improved, reception uncooperative in refunding overpayment,Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Beate S.December 2015PozytywneBeautiful locationNegatywneNo ban on fighting dogsDangerous vacation - freezing cold attack by a loose fighting dogI had only been there for a few hours when my little leashed dog (dachshund mix) was attacked and badly bitten by a free-running Stafford Terrier (fighting dog) on the campsite grounds during an evening walk. We broke off our vacation and went straight back to the vet in Germany for an operation under... general anesthesia (stitches, wound care, etc.). The owner of the Stafford Terrier would have been obliged to have a leash (and normally a muzzle), he doesn't even have dog liability insurance according to his statement... I am therefore currently bearing all the veterinary costs (surgery, follow-up examinations, stitches etc.). According to the campsite reception, the Dutch police didn't want to come. A dangerous vacation there for dog and man. I now only hope that the campsite will handle the claim cooperatively and that there will be a ban on fighting dogs in future, or at least that they will have to be muzzled and kept on a lead, and that the owner will have to be tested (EU passport, certificate of competence, dog liability). An expensive vacation that only lasted a few hours.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Eveline S.November 2015PozytywneLocationNegatywneRestaurantSuper locationWe were there in November so there were very few people. Nevertheless, the camping store was open and had plenty to offer. Right on the lake and wild rabbits hopping around everywhere. The receptionists were very nice. The sanitary facilities are old-fashioned and ring-shaped but very clean. The infrastructure... was good. It had everything we needed, waste disposal facilities, water, electricity, bike rental, etc. The safari through the nature reserve is highly recommended. The only thing to criticize is the restaurant. Really very nice, but noisy, the food is lovely and not very good. The service grumpy.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.

- Wolfgang K.September 2015PozytywneEverything there: supermarket, good sanitary facilities, nice surroundingsNegatywnenoneCozy between the North Sea and the lakeWe spent a sunny and relaxing week at the end of September at a package price. - Sebastian J.August 2015PozytywneGreat landscapeNegatywneNo swimming possible, no sandy beach nearbywould have expected moreI chose the campsite because it was rated quite highly in the adac camping guide. Unfortunately, the campsite did not live up to our expectations Pros: Safari tour landscape Quiet location Schmiermonikoog and Ameland nearby, which are beautiful. Cost for the crossing there and back 15€ per adult Con:... Partly very small plots Max 50m^2 for a standard place WLan non stop discounects Sanitary these are kept rather simple and the cleanliness could be partly better Although it has been stated on the website that you could swim in the lauwersmeer there are signs advising against it because of blue-green algae, which lead to skin irritation.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
