However, the resort itself is very noisy and not recommended for those seeking peace and quiet.
The infrastructure of Camping Tamaro Resort is fine, it has enough large pitches even for larger motorhomes, but in many cases the pitches are not... level and you can't get the motorhome into a level position without chocks or jacks.
The mini-market only has a minimal range and the fruit and vegetables are not fresh.
The swimming pool does not belong to Camping Tamaro Resort, but is the public swimming pool in Tenero. Many locals come here and there is always music playing. Good food and the store has a good selection of bread and vegetables and other products for its size. We would love to come back next year. You can choose your own pitches on the site, so everyone can get the pitch that suits them. It is good that the site has trees so you have good shade.

Basically a nice place but everything is a bit crowded.
One or two of the reception... staff need to work on their friendliness. Check-in was great on the day of departure, when asked for an extension, they said "we are fully booked" very briefly

The campsite is great for us with 3 children. It's a good size and reservations are possible. The camping store is also brilliant. Super friendly staff and great discount prices. It has everything you need. Complaints at reception were... taken very seriously by the staff and action was taken immediately. The sanitary facilities are always very clean. They have also been very nicely renovated. Unfortunately, the taps in the washbasins were not replaced. The taps are jammed and children can hardly operate them, had to turn it off several times because it was still running. The children's playground was newly equipped with an automatic wind sail, actually ingenious only the timer was not set for the sun in summer and it always rolled up at 4.30 pm so the children were again exposed to the full sunlight, but this was reported to the reception. No observance of the night's restMUCH too loud in the high seasonWe were on the Tamaro for 1 week in July. Pitch "Luxus 1" cost €66/night for 2 people/1 tent. We could barely get our tent (4x5 m) onto the pitch with the car (Golf). We couldn't even put up an awning as the pitch was too "short". Sanitary facilities were mostly ok, but they are all getting on in years... and should be adapted to modern times, as should the pitch sizes. There was no peace and quiet on the pitch. If you are traveling with children who are not sensitive to noise and like action and razzmatazz, you are in good hands here. According to the campsite regulations, it is supposed to be quiet at night from 10.30 p.m. - but it wasn't at all. The campers on the site did not adhere to this in any way. It was very loud until well after 10.30 p.m. In addition, there was extreme noise pollution from a neighboring campsite, which is located directly behind the public swimming pool in Tenero. The basses of the "disco music" boomed there until midnight - every evening! We had 4 boys about 20 years old on the pitch opposite. They slept during the day, then started their party in the evening with high-proof drinks, then disappeared and came back at night between 1 and 3 a.m. very drunk again; it was correspondingly loud on the pitch. We neither saw the "night watch" that was supposedly on the pitch nor did we notice that the four of them were asked to be quiet. We spent a week on the Tamaro and then broke off our vacation there because we didn't get a single night's peace and quiet. Too bad - maybe it's better in the low season, but for the high season the place is only suitable for people who like it loud. The recreational value was zero. From our point of view, we can NOT recommend the campsite for people looking for peace and quiet. Compared to the 5* campsite, which is only a few hundred meters away, the Tamaro is clearly overrated. July is high season and Tenero is a popular vacation resort with several campsites that are fully booked during this time. You certainly... have to expect more noise during this time.
We are a family-oriented campsite and have many children's activities during this time.
Our night watchman, who is on duty every night, ensures a good night's sleep.
The situation is different in the early and mid-season when the region is quieter.
In the event of a spontaneous arrival, our guests receive a plan with the available pitches so that they can choose and view the pitch themselves.
Regarding the sanitary facilities, we are a little surprised to read your comment as we did a thorough renovation last winter and always get compliments on it.
We would be delighted to welcome you again, perhaps in the early or late season.

The caravan smelled as soon as I walked in and made a shabby impression. The mattress was sagging and you could feel the springs. The side was simply filled with a piece of foam. The windows... were broken everywhere and the hatch above the bed could not be darkened. Which was not very pleasant in the morning. It is true that Lake Maggiore brought a lot of wood in June (as can also be read in the local press). This is due to the snowmelt in the mountains (later this year and more frequent than usual).
Our workers cleared a lot of material from the beach... every day, but the current of the lake kept bringing in new wood. Now the situation has been restored.
