"Excellent campsite - The site is located in a beautiful and very quiet area only about 600 meters from the Westerbork Camp Museum. It is owned by an extremely friendly and outgoing couple who are very helpful. Westerbork Camp and its museum are well worth a visit. It was originally a refugee camp where German-Jewish refugees were housed before the war. In July 1942, the camp's status was changed to a transit camp from which Jews and Gypsies were sent east. The last train from Westerbork to reach Auschwitz-Birkenau left Westerbork in September 1944.

Camping in Drenthe at Camping Tikvah is camping on a special family campsite in the Drentse Hooglanden. Young and old enjoy an unforgettable holiday here. From our child-friendly campsite you can walk straight into the forest, with heaths and sand …drifts of Het Grote Zand behind you. And a cycle path runs alongside the campsite - 70 metres from cycle junction 3. Another special feature is that this campsite in Drenthe is 500 metres from the former Westerbork camp. With us you camp in the middle of nature on very large pitches (120-250 m2) and at a distance from each other . We have excellent wifi available at every site. Camping at our campsite in Drenthe means first and foremost enjoying nature, peace and conviviality. Why do young families, but also senior citizens, choose our family campsite Tikvah in Drenthe? -Large to very large pitches: 125-250 m2! -80% of the pitches are comfort pitches: Running water on the pitch itself, a drainage point and of course electricity. -From the campsite in Drenthe you walk directly into the forest with heaths and sand drifts of Het Grote Zand behind. The grounds of Camping Tikvah are spacious and have 50 pitches. -The campsite is child-friendly, small and well laid out. -Good wifi (via fibre optic to the site!) is available free of charge at every location. Our sanitary facilities are modern and clean and equipped with ladies and gents toilets and showers! You can do the washing up under cover, so you won't be disturbed in bad weather.
