- D. C.September 2023Pozytywneunique location, tranquilityNegatywneNo waste disposal, sanitary facilities partly "borderline"Great, unique location, but little serviceBeautifully situated forest campsite in the Restonica Valley, approx. 7 km from Corte. The Restonica stream with its wildness and many swimming pools runs directly through the site. A branched, long terrain with many individual (naturally unparcelled) pitches, which are ideal for campers in particular.... Bullis and small Kawa motorcycles can also get along well here. The terrain (rocks, trees/branches, roots) makes it difficult for all larger vehicles. The whole site is in a really beautiful location, a real nature experience that you don't often see when camping! During the day you can hear the access road to the "Bergerie" (managed mountain hut in the upper valley), as a lot of day tourists, including many noisy motorcycles, drive up and down there.
Only the rather unattractive pitches in front of the bridge, close to the road, have electricity. There are a total of three toilet blocks, but showers are only available on the main square. Depending on where you stand, the path is quite long. The sanitary facilities are very cramped and can be described as "basic" at best, sometimes as "borderline" (no toilet seats/paper, of course). Cleaning was done by completely "submerging" the room with a garden hose using a spray bottle with cleaner, which was not entirely clear. However, these cleaning ladies, who were always in a good mood, were the friendliest people on the entire campsite! A side note: our impression was that the more "alternative" a campsite in Corsica was (and Camping Tuani was at the forefront of this), the more distant/unfriendly/introspective/self-centered its visitors were! On the typical campsites, people of all nationalities would say a friendly 'good morning' to each other and exchange a few nice words, whereas here most people would sneak past you without saying a word, their eyes downcast. Strange, isn't it?
At €31 (2 people/van, electricity) per night, it was rather expensive, as there was also no disposal for water/toilets!Przetłumaczone automatycznie. - Patrick W.August 2018Pozytywne- directly on the river - Pitch freely selectable - Pitches almost always free, even in the high seasonNegatywne- many pitches without electricity - there could be a few more showers/toiletsVery beautiful, natural campsite in the Restonica ValleyVery nice, quiet campsite in the middle of the Restonica Valley. You can choose your own pitch on arrival, most of them are quite nice and shady, but quite a few pitches have no electricity or you need a long cable. The staff were friendly and even spoke English. The sanitary facilities are nothing special,... typical "Mediterranean standard", but perfectly adequate and quite clean. The location directly on the Restonica is brilliant, which invites you to swim, especially in summer, despite the low water temperature. If you don't arrive too late, you can usually always get a pitch, even in the high season. So if you want to camp close to nature and don't have ultra-high expectations, Camping Tuani is the right place for you.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Stephan B.August 2017Only for camping romanticsIf you like sitting in front of your tent by candlelight in the evening and don't mind that the tent has to be pitched at an angle and on roots, you might feel at home here. Hardly any electric pitches, almost all pitches slanted and crooked, sanitary facilities on the edge. But far too expensive.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Martina S.July 2016Pozytywnethe location and the pumpNegatywneToilets in one place cannot be used all day the beer in the pub is very expensiveonly the location is greatWe were there with our motorhome, found a nice place, unfortunately the toilets (at the beginning of the site) were only opened after half past eight in the evening. We also couldn't drain our service water, the owner told us to just open the tap on the street! I wonder why we had to pay 26 euros with 2 people and a motorhome, what a shame!Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Hans S.August 2015PozytywneLandscapeNegatywneMany pitches only accessible for tents they let you book in, although there are actually no suitable places available very EXPENSIVEA cheekWe arrived at the campsite at the end of August and during this time it was firmly in German hands. At reception we were greeted by an EXTREMELY friendly member of staff who assured us that there were still plenty of free pitches and that we only needed to look in the rear area, which is so large. When... we pointed out that we had a roof tent, the lady said that this would not be a problem either. Well, how did it turn out: there were actually still spaces, but directly on the dusty road, so it was like parking on the side of the road. All the other free spaces were either blocked by large stones or deep gullies for a vehicle. We then had a pitch that we were able to drive to thanks to our Landy, but there was a covered septic tank in the immediate vicinity and when the "shower marathon" of the many guests began, a permanent smell of rot wafted over the area - of course we only noticed this after setting up. We left immediately the next day and had our blood pressure shot up again when paying, because there were 5 of us and only one igloo tent roof tent and then €53 ............. INSANE! Incidentally, the road is very busy and, as it is a narrow valley, also very noisy. There are much better places in the immediate vicinity of Corte.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Marcel S.July 2015PozytywneYou pay a lot of money for little equipment, the owner of the pitch can probably afford her white Mercedes SUV.NegatywnePure money-making, hard-nosed businesswoman, not the least bit interested in the well-being of her guestsPure money-making with a nice appearanceWe stayed at Camping Tuani with our tent because we were looking for a small, friendly site from which we could start our hiking tours. At first we ignored the unfriendly reception from the site manager (the staff, on the other hand, were quite nice). When we wanted to pay at the end, the worst thing... happened: the manager wanted us to pay for the next day because we were an hour late, even though we had packed our rucksacks and stood in front of reception for a long time. In view of our financial situation as students, she remained tough. After all, she probably has to finance her white Mercedes SUV, which is presented to visitors under a huge carport. We didn't want to have anything to do with people like that on vacation, let alone give them our money (after all, about €80 for four nights camping). This extremely unsympathetic woman spoiled our last day of our vacation and we won't be coming back. Especially as there is already a queue of tourists to the mountain lakes, next time we will go to a different place.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Sascha T.June 2015Pozytywne-beautiful location -good restaurant -natural course layoutIn the middle of nature and yet close to CorteThe site is located directly in the Restonica Valley by the river and offers beautiful, freely selectable pitches. The access road and the campsite are not suitable for motorhomes or larger caravans. The reception is friendly, but only French is spoken. There is a free choice of pitches, although the... site is very long and runs along the river. Unfortunately there is no path lighting at night, so it is necessary to bring a flashlight. The sanitary facilities were relatively clean and offer toilet paper and soap dispensers. The recommendable restaurant has a terrace right by the river, and in bad weather you can warm up inside by the open fire. Baguettes can be ordered in advance from reception, as well as frozen bottled water for the cool box. Due to its location directly in the gorge, there is plenty of shade and the paths are kept dust-free by additional sprinklers. This site is a good starting point for excursions into the Restonica Valley and to Corte, we would love to come back!Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Sarah F.April 2014PozytywneGood location/excellent surroundingNegatywneunfriendly stuff/unfriendly staff inflexible/unflexibleWe stayed there in the off-season and they were preparing the place quite loud early in the morning. When we went for the hike, there was nobody at the reception for the check-out. We came back in the evening and wanted to do the check-out. But then they wanted us to pay for the second night as well.... That was absolutely unfriendly. Even we did not blocked any space, cause there where only 7 more customers (it was off-season). But the owner just wanted our money. And we realized that he was riding (by car!!!) every two hours up and down the campsite just to see that there will be nobody illegal there. That was a bit to much obsessed for us! Unfortunately we had a bad experience. We wanted to check out but no one was in reception, then we went hiking and wanted to check out in the evening. We then had to pay for a second night! Even though we were there in the low season and therefore didn't block any space. We were also woken up at 8am by construction noise next to our campsite because preparations for the season were underway. It's a shame that the owner is so inflexible and also compulsively drives his car up and down the campsite every two hours to make sure that nobody is camping there illegally.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Lodda G.August 2013A really beautiful campsite in the countryside. Not suitable for caravans, limited suitability for small motorhomes. But tents can be pitched very well in stone alcoves. The site is ideal for outdoor activities.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Christian M.September 2012Camping Tuani is located in the middle of the rather narrow but scenically beautiful Restonica Valley. The unparceled Tuani impresses with its naturalness; the existing landscape has hardly been interfered with; they have come to terms with the wildly scattered rocks throughout the valley. Apart from... nature, however, you shouldn't expect much - the sanitary facilities are basic but ok - there aren't really any shopping facilities (apart from a can of beer and a few bottles of wine, the operator doesn't offer much else and you should get up early to get something from the daily bread delivery). There are no electricity connections. Nevertheless, the campsite, which is mainly frequented by "campers", has its own charm - pure nature. Special recommendation: Several bathing pools in the Restonica are within easy reach of the campsite - you're unlikely to find clearer water. You can also start a hike directly from Tuani (although this is more like scrambling in the Restonica Valley) - many people also use the campsite as a base camp for car excursions. Important note: The Restonica Valley and thus also the road leading into the valley and to the campsite is correspondingly narrow (approx. 6 km distance). However, it is already very narrow in the part of Corte where the road begins. Up to Tuani, the road is open to vehicles over 1.9 m wide (but not further on), but in most places the width is not suitable for motorhome/car encounters (although there are passing places from time to time). I would advise against driving up with a caravan (the campsite is not designed for this either) - with panel vans (VW, Ducato, etc.) it is not a problem - we were there with somewhat larger mobile homes (width almost 2.40), this was not a particular problem in the low season (although narrow roads attract us rather than bother us) (but the road is supposedly very congested in the high season and the Tuani is also supposedly reluctant to accept motorhomes). Conclusion: For nature lovers with tents or smaller motorhomes who don't need luxury, a very nice campsite - we felt at home.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Kall N.July 2012Miserable sanitary facilities. Quite expensive. Noisy. Unsatisfactory parking situation. Unfriendly employees/pitch owners. Very nice location directly on the Restonica with many bathing opportunities. Ideal starting point for hikes.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Petra K.June 2012Beautiful location in the Restonica Valley, but a "damp hole" for a long time when it rains, as the moisture in the valley lasts a long time. Price-performance ratio not right at all, very expensive! Miserable, overcrowded sanitary facilities. Cleaning practically never - (our observation in 8 days stay!!).... Half of the sanitary facilities were locked anyway, so they probably wanted to minimize the cleaning effort even further. The only activity of the manager was to drive around the site several times a day to register any new campers who arrived. Well, sometimes he also emptied the garbage cans!Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Frank T.September 2011Great place in a magnificent landscape. The site is located along the Restonica River, which is great for swimming. The site is also very convenient for hiking in the Rotondu massif. Corte is about 6 kilometers away. In the summer months of July and August, a minibus runs from the site up the mountain... to the hiking parking lot and the pitches are suitable for tents and WOMOS. Unfortunately, there is no electricity or water supply and disposal at the site. Disposal of the chemical toilet is also difficult. The sanitary facilities are good but basic (no "squat toilets"!). It is clean and is cleaned regularly. A campsite for nature lovers.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- tres para cinco p.August 2011We spent 5 days in the Restonica Valley, the place is very beautiful. Regarding the campsite, it is nice for its location. About the quality-price, I think they should charge a little less, for the little expense it takes maintenance. The state of the toilets should be better. The Restaurant-Pizzeria... is nice, the food is good, only the treatment should improve ..., the person responsible for waiting tables needs training on how to treat customers.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
