- Marki R.June 2024PozytywneFriendly reception and friendly staff. Natural place.NegatywneThe approach is a bit adventurous but no problem with a little interest. However, only up to a certain size of vehicle. Max. Height 3.10m Max. width 2.60mVery nice placeSanitary facilities are clean and are also cleaned several times a day. The on-site hospitality is great.
We would definitely like to come here again.Przetłumaczone automatycznie. - Tina F.July 2022Pozytywnefriendly staff, good foodNegatywneAccess through a very narrow bridge with a subsequent 90 degree bend - not really feasible for caravans - best to unhitch and pushWomanWe only spent one night here when we were passing through. We paid €48.60 for 3 adults and a child with a caravan without electricity. Not exactly cheap.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Annemarie N.July 2022PozytywneThe warm welcome from the boss ❤ The campsite is very rustic which we like very much The prices are very moderateNegatywneThere is nothing to complain about You know you're not in an overpriced 5* all-inclusive clubFINE QUIET FAMILY ATMOSPHEREIf you are looking for an individual campsite and want to do archery, this is the right place for you.
I'll be dreaming about the Schlutzkrapfen for nights to come - they were so delicious!!!!!Przetłumaczone automatycznie. - Roman Z.August 2021PozytywneFree place even when we arrived without reservation at 8 pm by bike. Pleasant service and restaurant. Friendly atmosphere.NegatywneAll good from my point of viewPerfect camp with friendly serviceTrains can irritate you only at morning hours. Can't sleep? - take one more beer.
- Gernot F.August 2021PozytywneIn August 2021 the only place that still had something free. Food, staff top.NegatywneDirections, railroad lineNiceThe approach is complicated. Steep driveway and a gate with a 90° bend behind it, where you have to uncouple the caravan. I imagine larger trailers or really big mobile homes would be difficult.
A slightly sloping meadow serves as a parking space.
Toilets are old but clean. Washbasin in the same room.Przetłumaczone automatycznie. - Sebastian H.September 2017Pozytywne- Conveniently located for cycling, good foodNegatywne- Very old, improvised sanitary facilities - Noisy throughout the valleyNight placeSmall campsite. Mainly used by transients and a few permanent campers. Registration without problems and friendly, even without having booked in advance. The upper part of the site is less suitable for tents due to the slope. Better to take the lower part. Due to the highway and railroad in the valley,... there is of course a background noise at night that you are not used to. But the pitch itself can't change that. On the other hand, the friendliness of the two older ladies (owners?) was unbeatable that evening. The food there is very good. The sanitary facilities are somehow improvised, very old but I always found them clean. Unbeatable value for money for tent/bicycle + electricity.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- R. N.June 2017PozytywneClose to highway, ideal for transit optimal Staff friendly/uncomplicated Nice location, despite proximity to highway/train Nice playgroundNegatywneThe train is a bit noisy.Good place to stay for a few days or just passing throughGood place for campers with a tent, small caravan or camper van. Very friendly reception, free choice of pitch, no parcelling, but not much flat pitch space, so please bring something to put underneath;-) Swimming in the lake is possible. Good opportunity to go for a walk after a long drive, even with... children or a dog. Very nice children's playground. Washroom outdated and no longer up to today's standard, but clean. Showers have already been redone. No shopping facilities, but very good restaurants. The track is noisy, but it didn't bother us, the places upstairs are a little less noisy than on the meadow below. Three beautiful geocaches near the lake;-) and many other small ones can be reached on foot or by bike from the campsite.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Jörg S.April 2017PozytywneDirectly on the highway for travelers passing throughNegatywneOnly suitable for the smallest motorhomes and caravans. Permanent campersOutdated and not very friendlyWe were guests with children and unfortunately it was a disaster. No ball games, no this and no that. Bossy operators who make it clear that the site is their private property. Outdated sanitary facilities. In view of the great alternatives nearby, nobody needs this.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Andreas W.July 2016PozytywneFriendliness. Idyllic lake. Children's playground.NegatywneVery old, unclean sanitary facilities. Noisy due to railroad. Very sloping pitches. For one night onlyFor our journey home from Livorno to the Vogtland, the site was very convenient for an overnight stay. Although the site is in a very idyllic location, I wouldn't stay here for more than one night. In addition to the beautiful landscape, the friendliness of the operators is also worth mentioning. But... that's almost it. The pitch is on a very sloping meadow. Our wheel chocks were not enough to get the vehicle to stand halfway straight. The sanitary facilities made you feel like you'd been transported back 60 years in a time machine. The cleanliness was also not the best. The food in the restaurant wasn't exactly outstanding either. On a positive note, there was a lovely children's playground that we couldn't get our daughter away from. The direct location to the railroad tracks makes for a lot of background noise. A walk to the Vahrner See is worthwhile.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Christian K.August 2015PozytywneFriendly, flexible, delicious food, fantastic sceneryNegatywneAccess...Narrow access road - otherwise perfect place for passing throughUnfortunately, the access road is very, very narrow (see photos). Perhaps maneuvering professionals can manage without uncoupling - but we can't (caravan with 530 body). Otherwise, the site is perfect for passing through. We drove onto the meadow in the middle of the night, slept briefly, spent a lovely... day at the lake and playground, had a delicious meal in the evening and continued our relaxed drive south the next morning (and after driving through the underpass).Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Bianca H.August 2015PozytywneShort distance from the lakeNegatywnenarrow driveway, sanitary facilitiesWell located place with very old sanitary facilitiesThe access road to the campsite is quite adventurous for caravans, as it leads through a small tunnel that is only suitable for vehicles up to 2.65 m wide. You have to be very careful not to get "stuck". Once you have overcome this obstacle, you are given a friendly welcome and can choose a nice spot... on a well-maintained meadow. On the downside, unfortunately, the railroad line runs right past the campsite and is also quite busy at night. Lake Vahrn is only a few minutes' walk from the site. There is a bread roll service and a restaurant on site, which in our opinion is a bit expensive for what is on offer. The sanitary facilities are really old but always clean. The children's playground is really nice. We paid €30 for a night with a caravan and child in the high season. We don't think this is entirely justified, as it's only one or two meadows and nothing has been invested there for a long time.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Monika D.August 2014PozytywnePlenty of space, lots of green meadows, nice people on site and good food.NegatywneThe weather didn't cooperate, it was rather chilly at the lake - a sauna would have been nice...This makes camping funOur caravan is almost 3m high and 2.60 wide and we came through the tunnel, so it must be rather bigger than stated in the camping guide - good for us as we were there for 1 week instead of just 1 night. We were allowed to choose the pitch ourselves and this was great, as was everything else. Finished my speech - we'll be back soon.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Gerd M.August 2014PozytywneVery nice location, no crowds, no huge mobile homes, friendly and familiar atmosphere, ideal for hikers and cyclists.NegatywneExceptionally strong interference from the nearby highway and the even closer railroad line with intensive traffic around the clock.Great place, but.....We spent a week there with our tent at the beginning of August 2014. A very scenic, idyllic and romantic place. You can choose your own pitch. The restaurant is great, the food very good, although not cheap. The owners, a family, are very friendly. Quick connection to Brixen and the Dolomites. Top starting... point for hikes. All in all, a great place if it weren't for the highway and the railroad line in the immediate vicinity. Especially at night, we had the feeling that the freight trains were thundering right through our tent. You can perhaps get used to the noise of the highway, but the train traffic is extremely disturbing. Guests in caravans or motorhomes didn't experience the disturbance in the same way as we did. Too bad for the beautiful place. We'll still be back, but then with earplugs or we'll have a few pints in the cozy restaurant before going to bed.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Winfried R.August 2013For large caravans extremely difficult ascent and even more difficult descent due to very low and narrow underpass of the railroad with subsequent 90 degree bend.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Pierre V.August 2013my wife, my 2 children and I could hardly sleep in our tent because of the highway, but especially because of the freight trains. A real nightmare!!! All the campsites in the Brixen Valley are like this: between the A22 and the rails....Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Hans R.September 2011This small campsite not far from the Brenner highway exit is particularly suitable for an overnight stay on the way south or home. For passers-by there is a gentle meadow, pleasant for tents. There is a cozy café-restaurant with a terrace. You can buy fresh bread rolls at the restaurant in the morning.... The sanitary facilities were clean, but the showers were quite old-fashioned. On the other hand, this campsite is quite cheap. There is some play equipment for children. There is a small idyllic forest lake a few minutes' walk away where you can swim. Unfortunately, not only the nearby Brenner highway but especially the Brenner railroad makes a lot of noise. Even at night many long freight trains pass right next to the campsite.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Gert S.July 2011Like all pitches in the Eisack Valley, it is quite noisy. The terrain is partly flat, partly hilly and very natural. The sanitary facilities are simple but serviceable. One of the few pitches in South Tyrol for smaller budgets.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
