The sanitary facilities are top, clean and as good as new. We had a spacious and shady pitch. There were also sunny pitches. There was no noise pollution the whole week. Pre-ordering bread rolls is practical and easy. The included Dachstein-Schladming-Sommercard... means that many admissions (e.g. to the mountain railroads) are free or reduced. We weren't able to use everything, so we will certainly come back again. There are running routes and walking paths away from the campsite (e.g. up the mountain or along the Enns). There are even 2 large supermarkets within walking distance. The campsite's own restaurant is well frequented. However, we had not yet tried it as self-catering. The campsite is on the outskirts of Schladming. The town center is within easy walking distance.
The pitch itself is located behind the hotel and, as has already been described... here several times, has no atmosphere. A large meadow between the river and the railroad line. A large part is occupied by permanent campers. Almost all the tourist pitches were occupied, most of the permanent campers were not there.
The sanitary facilities were in the basement of the hotel and mostly windowless and quite narrow but clean. Not a good feeling, especially in Corona times...
Several (tent) groups were accommodated in the hotel's own parking lot next to the camping meadow, which in addition to the railroad noise caused a high volume level. Hotel or campsite staff could not be contacted via reception, the night bell or the telephone number provided.
Four of us in a camper van paid €70! The price includes the Summercard, but it's pointless if you're just passing through for one night.

Unfortunately very expensive; however, the "lyricism" on the site homepage... glosses over a number of shortcomings or deficits that I do not expect in this price range: very narrow pitches (approx. 35 sqm for a 7m motorhome), mediocre sanitary facilities, ineffective or insufficient ventilation of shower rooms and toilets (in Corona times), possibly even additional charging of electricity at a price of over € 60 for a family of three/day...
The next campsite is in Ramsau and therefore not suitable for bikers, for example.

Many permanent campers have set up their caravans in the middle of the meadow. You have to cross a road to empty the chemical toilet. Thank you for your review, which unfortunately is not entirely understandable. What is wrong with the fact that you were able to choose your own seat? This is usually best for the guest, as they can choose the pitch they want. As you don't have an extra large caravan, I can't understand... what the problem is with maneuvering? As a camper, you choose your pitch in advance and don't drive around the site with your car and caravan to see where you want to go... After 4 days of continuous rain, you can't blame nature for the lawn being soggy, if the pitch was completely gravelled and there was no meadow, you would probably complain about this too. Our campsite is very centrally located in Schladming, I don't understand why you feel disturbed by the balconies, as a camper you would also find the camping neighbors disturbing? The supply and disposal station is deliberately stationed at the campsite parking lot, as it would be annoying for me personally if it were right next to the pitches, you can tell me personally where the problem is when crossing a road, as this is our preferred source of communication. Unfortunately, you didn't say a word to us about your "dissatisfaction" when we asked if everything was OK on departure? What a pity. We wish you all the best. If you use the inexpensive ski depot at the lift station, you can also easily walk from the site to the lift station. Even though the campsite is dominated by permanent campers, short-term... campers also feel very comfortable. The staff are extremely friendly. The sanitary facilities in the adjoining hotel are modern, clean and spacious. Particularly worth mentioning is the good price-performance ratio, especially in winter. Up to 5 kwh of electricity is included in the all-inclusive price, even in winter. It is also pleasing that there is no extra charge for dogs. The showers can also be used without coins etc. However, there are only two washbasins inside for washing up. However, a freezer, washing machine and drying lines are also available. Drying lines and the ski depot, which is also used by hotel guests, are therefore always quite full. The campsite is run as a family business together with the hotel. The family and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The family organized a particularly nice Christmas party on Christmas Eve for the campsite and hotel guests with poems, stories, songs, etc. Free mulled wine and Christmas cookies were also distributed. As the campsite is right next to a road and the railroad line, it is not always completely quiet, although that didn't bother us. You can also hear deliveries coming to the hotel from time to time. As there is only one sanitary facility in the hotel, you have quite a long way to get there from some pitches. Sanitary area very clean in the hotel that runs the CP. Bread roll service there too.
