The site is very well maintained and well laid out. We had one of the two rental bathrooms, so no detailed assessment of the sanitary building, only that it is very modern and very attractively designed.
We had booked a large pitch and on arrival... we were given 2 spacious pitches, absolutely fantastic - thanks again for that! The site is very well drained, we also had 'bad weather' with lots of rain and storms during our 10-day stay, but that wasn't a problem at all. The paths are discreetly lit, there are no high lanterns that make the site unnecessarily bright. It was very quiet at night, only sometimes interrupted by the occasional train whistle and once by unnecessarily inconsiderate neighbors (for which the site operator cannot be held responsible). The bread roll service is good, the rolls are bakery rolls, pre-order the day before or Friday for the weekend, there are no rolls on Mondays, clear assortment.
Cycling into town is no problem at all, there are plenty of bike racks everywhere. If you like, you can also buy a day ticket for public transport and then travel into the city from the stop directly on the square and hop on/hop off with the numerous streetcars available.
We also made excursions to the surrounding area by car (Weimar, Eisenach with the Wartburg, Kyffhäuser monument, Thuringian Forest, Buchenwald memorial, etc.), in Bad Sulza there is the Toskana-Therme. Restaurant recommendations: Espitas (Mexican, all you can eat buffet at the weekend), Steakhouse Louisiana.

Everything was just right from start to finish. The operators of the camping park are incredibly friendly and accommodating. We were greeted warmly on arrival and immediately felt welcome.
The entire site... is in immaculate condition. The wash house and sanitary facilities are modern, well equipped and, above all, spotlessly clean. You can tell that great importance is attached to hygiene and comfort here, which is particularly important to us.
The pitches are generously sized and offer enough space for caravans or tents as well as for personal space. The whole area is well-kept and beautifully designed, so you can really feel at home. The many small details that make Campingpark Erfurt so special are particularly noteworthy: well-signposted paths, lovingly landscaped green areas and practical facilities such as a campers' kitchen and a small store for everyday needs.
Another highlight is the quiet location of the camping park, which still allows easy access to Erfurt city center. This means you can relax and enjoy the day on the site and, if necessary, go on cultural excursions or shopping trips into the city.
We were particularly impressed by the personal atmosphere on the site. The operators are always present and immediately available to answer any questions or requests. Their hospitality and commitment to ensuring that every guest has a perfect stay are truly remarkable.
Conclusion: Campingpark Erfurt sets standards in every respect. If you are looking for a campsite that impresses with its cleanliness, modern comfort and friendly operators, this is the place for you. The city center can be easily reached by bike in about 15 minutes. If you are traveling on foot, you can use the bus stop for local transport directly in front of the campsite. The T.E.C. shopping center with all... shopping facilities is within 15 minutes walking distance in the direction of Erfurt city center. The campsite is very well organized. All types of motorhomes, caravans and tents will find a suitable pitch here. The ground consists of compacted fine gravel and is covered with a light turf. The area in front of the pitches has also been reinforced with a plastic grid in the ground. You should therefore bring sturdy pegs or ground pegs to brace the awnings and tents. Rainwater is absorbed very well. However, the fine gravel tends to get stuck in footwear after rainfall. Nevertheless, there are well-tended flowerbeds and natural flowering islands on the site. Like everything else on the site, the sanitary facilities have been well thought out. Everything was always very clean during our stay. The use of the showers as well as the quite reliable WLAN was included in the price for the pitch. There is a disposal station for the camping toilets and gray water at the entrance to the site. Here, too, it was always tidy and clean. The only noise pollution was the occasional high-altitude aircraft taking off. We had a really nice stay here in Erfurt.
