Super nice and uncomplicated reception and stay, we read the reviews and knew what we were getting into, so we don't understand people who obviously can't or don't want to read and only come here to write a really bad review.

Very nice operator who gave us a postcard to say goodbye with the statement:... from the worst campsite in Germany.

Simply sad what people can do with reviews without thinking about it.

They would do better to book a 5 star hotel and not make life unnecessarily difficult for such lovely people.
WE WOULD LOVE TO COME BACK!

We were in April for one night on the pitch, no service, permanent campers characterize the picture, we were there Friday afternoon, the sanitary facilities had not been cleaned for weeks, trash cans full, a roll of toilet paper on 3 open toilets, although we ate trout with potato salad in the evening,... we still paid 15 euros for the night, sanitary facilities very old, no problem for us, but very dirty, showering was impossible for us, have never encountered such old and dirty sanitary facilities in any part of the world (have been campers for 45 years). The guests of the restaurant also had to use the facilities, unacceptable!

Small, cramped, old sanitary facilities
One night only.
After a party, where we stood in the hosts' garden with the Tenttrailer, we wanted to spend another night and so we came to Lohr am Main. The campsite we originally arrived at had the charm of a village football pitch. So we moved on to Forellenhof. The site is very small and has just 5-6 pitches for... transients. The site seemed like a small world of its own to us. It seemed to us that you don't really expect through traffic here. The sanitary facilities are old, quite old. But not dirty. Shopping facilities about 5 minutes by car. There is a small restaurant which is only open Fri.-Sun. As the name suggests, they have trout from their own farm. We tried it and the fish was sensational. The place is definitely quiet. Would we go there again? No. Not because we didn't feel comfortable, quite the opposite, but in our opinion the campsite is only for those passing through with small companions. The cost of the whole thing, two people, tent trailer with electricity: €15
