An insider tip for all those who love camping in the origin and without a lot of frills.... Super nice operators made us feel very comfortable and welcome. Will definitely be back. Perfect start for mountain bike tours and hiking tours in the beautiful landscape.

nice operators, uncomplicated, animals, incredibly cheap for today's times, pets are welcome, free choice of place, clean sanitary facilities, breakfast can be booked in the guesthouse

Disposal could be or become better, extremely small shower (but you don't have to pay anything extra there either), at the place where we stood I couldn't get a herring or something similar in (after about 10cm there is rock or something similar).
Small, nice place to linger
We will come back not only because of the price and the very nice operators, but also because it is in a very good and quiet location.

Fichtelberg, Fichtelberg cable car, smoking museum etc.

The place would get 3.5 stars.

Simple, but somehow endearing
This small, somewhat outdated campsite is just 10 km (1 hour by bike or 2 hours on foot) from the Fichtelberg, surrounded by alpaca, goat, chicken and rabbit enclosures.
The generally quite flat, well-kept lawn area is not parceled out. Electricity is available at the usual collection points and water... at the edge of the site.
The sanitary facilities, which are always clean, are a little outdated: in addition to the tiny shower room with just one cubicle, the toilet almost looks like a ballroom.
Fans of luxury are in the wrong place here, everything is kept simple and sometimes requires a shrug of the shoulders "that's just the way it is!", such as the toilet disposal in a tank or the flushing facilities offered to me in the seminar room of the guesthouse building.
The price of €15 per PITCH, not per person, is still unbeatable!
For people who like a simple pitch, who need a base from which they can set off on MTB tours etc., the pitch is highly recommended, but you should like dogs.
It should also be mentioned that the barbecue area at the campsite or in front of the guesthouse building is a great place to meet up with friends, and the boss will even invite you for a beer in the early evening.
And when it gathers...^^

Pitch
The Wonmobil pitch is simply laid out. During the two days we had dog sports groups with lots of Haskys there, so it was quite restless. The area around the site is partly unkempt, electricity is available, toilet disposal in a strange overgrown plastic tank, gray water probably goes onto the meadow on purpose. We won't be going there again, €15 is too much. Anyone who enjoys it, please

very nice operator, it is quiet except for the sled dogs sometimes it is very exciting. the cp has a petting zoo with goats and donkeys. we stayed there in winter very idyllic.
