- Regina K.October 2024PozytywneTotal silence ! ! ! At night we could hear tawny owls and other owls, thanks to the large fire bowls directly on the shore you can end the evening comfortably around the campfire. Reasonable prices!NegatywneWe found 50 cents/min hot water a bit expensive, so the cold cat wash had to suffice :-PReally pleasantly surprised!!!Admittedly, we were also a little unsettled by the bad comments from other campers.
We were traveling at the end of the season without a reservation and moored our canoe at the bottom of the jetty.
The site itself, registration and kiosk were deserted, but we were able to call the operator immediately... on the number provided.
She assured us that she would come by a little later to do the billing, which worked perfectly. We complied with the announcement: "Make yourselves comfortable in the meantime" and chose a nice spot for our tent and boat.
2 adults, 1 tent, 1 boat, 2 beers: €20.50 was an absolutely fair price! We had asked for wood for a campfire and were prepared to pay extra for it according to the list on display. The owner - with whom we really hit it off straight away - gave us the tip that we could simply help ourselves to the remaining logs on the fire bowls.
We were given a quick "tour" of the sanitary facilities and the scullery, after which we had the place all to ourselves! This allowed us to set up our "kitchen" at the rustic tables on the covered terrace. We had a really good time on the pitch.
We are well aware that this was a very exclusive and comfortable situation, but that should also be mentioned here.
Of course, we can't judge how it is at other times during the season or for other target groups, but everything was perfect for our needs!Przetłumaczone automatycznie. - Edith H.September 2023PozytywneWonderfully situated if you appreciate peace and seclusion.NegatywneNo catering out of season.Camping with a kayakVery friendly welcome from the owner. - Werner S.June 2023PozytywneWell-kept grounds, beautiful location, quite quiet.NegatywneUnaccommodating treatment on the part of the male operator, no electricity at the pitch, only 1 minute showers for the 50 ct. coin.Nice place, not so great managementWhen we phoned to register, we were strictly forbidden to occupy a pitch before the operators were on site.
The female part of the management agreed to our request to put our tent, canoe and car together on a pitch near the sanitary facilities. However, this was obviously a breach of the rules, which... required the blessing of the older gentleman, who has the final say in such important matters, but was still busy with the tractor for a while.
When we registered, we paid €5 for an electricity connection, but this was not available at the pitch, so we had to plug in our cool box on the reception terrace.
The shower gets hot water for the 50 Ct. Coin only 1 minute of hot water, of which about 20 seconds pass until the hot water arrives. The sanitary facilities are paved with rules of conduct.
Now to the positive: The pitch is neatly mown, nice to look at and well situated. It is pleasantly quiet, especially at night. So once you have moved into your accommodation, have your food with you and stick to the numerous rules, you can spend a few lovely days in the great outdoors.Przetłumaczone automatycznie. - Benedict B.June 2023PozytywneBeautiful facility, you could feel at home here if not ...NegatywneGroundsman and warden extremely rude and humorless.Campsite quite okay, groundskeeper & attendant to get used to! Better to avoid!!!You could feel comfortable on the pitch, but the whole atmosphere is extremely negatively influenced by the (father-daughter? / couple?) team responsible for the pitch.
In addition to around 100 signs that prohibit and/or prescribe EVERYTHING, you are told in an extremely humorless and rather aggressive... manner what is allowed and what is not, whereby everything is not allowed. You are not allowed to have any fun here.
In rare cases, the groundskeeper at least tried to be nice, but this seemed to cause her physical pain, a (serious) grin was never to be seen on her face. However, she is still more likeable than her male counterpart, who greeted us with a loud growl and the words "DUST!!!". Because anyone who drives faster than 0.002 km/h here stirs up too much "DUST!!!" and must be pointed out more than emphatically.
Note to travelers with dogs according to the attendant: "If I see your dog running without a leash once, there will be a first and last warning, a second time and the entire group will be kicked out!" She hadn't even seen the dog, it was only mentioned at registration.
Oh yes: Showers cost 50ct for 1 minute (yes, 1 minute!!) of hot water, of which the hot water takes about 20-30 seconds to arrive in the cubicle. Ridiculous!
If you find an alternative place to spend the night, you'd better use it. Not only can I not recommend this place, I advise everyone to avoid it!!!Przetłumaczone automatycznie. - Florian W.June 2023PozytywneGreat location, nice operators, fishing possible on site, fair pricesNegatywneThe nearest bakery for bread rolls is currently still 12 km away, but this is set to change soon.Very nice place with nice operators directly on the LahnWe were unsure beforehand due to some negative reviews. However, this was quickly resolved on site. A very friendly welcome from the operators. Our tipi pitch was lovingly prepared and we immediately felt at home. The site is not a premium glamping site but a great, beautifully located and above all... not overcrowded site with large meadow areas and space for people and animals. The sanitary facilities were clean and lovingly maintained.
All questions were answered in a friendly manner and the prices in the kiosk were very reasonable. Chilled beer 1.50 euros.
We can only recommend the site and will definitely be back!Przetłumaczone automatycznie. - Steffen S.August 2020Pozytywnebeautiful locationNegatywneVery unfriendly supportVery unfriendly placeAttention dear readers, don't be influenced by the old Google reviews here. The very nice previous owner is unfortunately no longer there, instead a grumpy lout and his daughter have taken over the place.
Even the reception was incredibly unfriendly "DO NOT DRIVE TO THE PITCH !!!!!" was shouted from... the background. But where else could you go when the owner blocks the dirt track with his stinking slurry tractor so that you can neither go forwards nor backwards and can only avoid the meadow?
The issue of coronavirus and compulsory masks doesn't seem to have reached reception yet. I entered reception wearing a mask (to protect others), but unfortunately you are exposed to the aerosols from the owners. Caustic!
After registering, I drove across the meadow just to avoid the tractor, to clear the way and to finally escape its diesel cloud, and then arrived at the allocated campsite. A donkey in the paddock in front of the campsite brays I-AAA, and behind me another brays "EEHHHHH!". An angry man comes running up "You could have waited 5 minutes" I reply, "No why, it makes no difference whether you drive 50m or 100 across the meadow to the campsite, does it? Besides, it was not clear how long he wanted to block his access road for customers". When I asked if this collection of unfriendliness was part of the program, I had to leave the site, "You can get your money back".
Attention, from now on the owner tends to behave in an unruly and aggressive manner. I felt very uncomfortable, my son found the situation threatening, but I got my money back immediately. Other guests watch the situation, shaking their heads.
The annoying customer is exposed to arrogant arrogance and stupidity here. This place only benefits from the good reviews that are due to the previous owner.
