- Ralf N.September 2022PozytywneQuiet location, own snack bar, nice parking space, bread rolls for breakfast. Large run for dogs in the direction of the dyke.NegatywneFar away from the beach, the toilet cubicles were narrow.Reception with suckling pigWe were welcomed with a suckling pig, so to speak. The pitch was also very nice. Unfortunately, the way to the sandy beach was very long, about 45 minutes.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Klaus F.April 2022PozytywneLocationNegatywnesome parts of the course, especially at the back, could get quite muddy in prolonged rainnow camping SPO, really goodWe were there over Easter. Nice and extremely flexible and courteous contact by phone and email when booking.
Arrival by 9pm would have been no problem at all. The front part of the site is very open and free, more reminiscent of a mobile home park, but is quite new, something still needs to grow, plots... there are quite large, pitches partly gravelled.
The rear part of the site, where we were, was a bit more overgrown, partly separated by hedges, electricity and water easily accessible everywhere. Pitches slightly smaller than at the front, but sufficient for a medium-sized caravan with awning and car. Some pitches also gravelled.
Sanitary facilities in the rear part clean and well maintained, could be a bit scarce in the main season. But was absolutely sufficient over Easter.
Bread roll service and small snack bar on site.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Absolutely flexible and very fair, even when canceling (our daughter was unable to arrive at short notice due to illness).
Location a little out of the hustle and bustle, but firstly we like it that way, and secondly everything important can be reached quickly and easily by bike.
The site and surrounding area are dog-friendly / suitable for dogs.
Conclusion: clean and well-kept site, location and everything around it top for us, nice flexible operators, pleasant contact, we will definitely be back.Przetłumaczone automatycznie. - Jürgen & Petra K.July 2020PozytywneThanks to Udo, Maike, Stefan and AnniNegatywneI can't think of anything.New owner - now SPO - great, www.camping-spo.deNice place and nice staff.
The operators/staff were very helpful and friendly. The sanitary facilities are clean and were cleaned several times a day.

We got a place next to the playground. This was our wish due to traveling with our daughter. Sanitary facilities are clean. It is about 5 minutes by bike to the Diech. The main beach in SPO is about 10 minutes away.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- heike h.August 2019PozytywneCleanlinessNegatywneThe friendliness here is so catastrophic - Entrance to the pitches / meadow / as well as WoMo pitches very narrow with thick gravel.never againthe unfriendliness prevails here! we have been to SPO many times - but we will certainly not camp on this site again, neither with a caravan nor with a camper. it is a considerable walk to the beach/sand/sea. the direct path leads to the nature reserve, where you cannot get to the beach because it is fenced in.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Michèl+Beatrice R.June 2019PozytywnePerfect place for us, we felt very comfortableNegatywneNone at allVery cozy place and mega niceWe were on this site over Whitsun and were totally thrilled. The pitches were big enough and the electricity is super secure with 1o amps. The operators are super friendly and also campers themselves, which you can tell. The place can be reached on foot in 20 minutes or with a guest card with the bus... for free, the bus stop is 2 minutes from the place, the sanitary facilities are very clean and you can shower with tokens 4min / 1Euro with start / stop function. We would love to come back but it is very far away from SwitzerlandPrzetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Petra & Werner P.December 2018PozytywneClean, quiet, bus stop nearbyNegatywneNo bread service in winter, long way to shopping facilities,Small mistakes Big impactClean and calm. Mistakes will be punished with a ban. Please never make the mistake of driving onto the pitch without registering, but stay outside. Otherwise you will be expelled from the site by the operator, even if you have booked in advance.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Hans B.July 2018Everything tip top maintained !!!Since last year, the Sass campsite has been known as the Sass motorhome and camping site! We were on the site again at the beginning of July and can only say that the site is one of the best kept that we have visited in years. Everything is spotlessly clean! The motorhome pitches are on a separate, new... part of the site, beautifully parceled out and planted and equipped with electricity connections and water taps! The prices are very moderate for this beautiful site, as almost everything is included: electricity, tapping water, emptying waste water, emptying cassette toilets, washing dishes, hand washing were included in the € 25 for both of us per night, so it was completely ok! We also found the small kiosk with bread rolls or even breakfast in the morning very pleasant! We'll see you again, thanks for the lovely days, Hans and IrmgardPrzetłumaczone automatycznie.
- K. W.July 2018PozytywneRest and relaxationSuper nice, unfortunately too shortWe drove to the Sass campsite on the off-chance and immediately got a great pitch. The cleanliness of the entire site is excellent. We felt very comfortable here and will definitely be back. The site is close to the road, but that didn't bother us. You can get to the beach in Sankt Peter Ording quickly... by bike and can relax and swim. A small bistro invites you to linger and eat, as the owner serves excellent food there. We are already looking forward to the next time.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Martin P.May 2018PozytywneClean and tidy sanitary facilitiesNegatywneNoisy due to the directly adjacent street The special "charm" of the operatorsLoud because of the adjacent street and prolls from Hamburg....When we arrived before Whitsun 2018, the Sass family gave us the feeling that we were very lucky to have got a place for our motorhome. The pitch directly behind the partition wall to the road was ok, but peace and quiet is something else. The whole place made a well-kept impression, the sanitary facilities... were good and were always kept clean. Like many other visitors who have written here, we had the feeling that the operators were nothing more than indifferent to the guests. Washing plus drying for 9 euros, that's a word, isn't it? My comment that this was an exaggeration went unanswered with the exception of a petrified face. Well, maybe that's a special North German charm that is lived here. But what's not at all acceptable: over Whitsun, there was a group of eight rednecks on the square who were already drunk in the morning and shared their alcohol-induced recklessness with all the other guests. This unbearable hustle and bustle with loud, bass-heavy music continued even after 10 pm (when the square was quiet). Unfortunately, there was no sign of Mr. Sass...... Relaxation looks different. The good soul of the square is the operator of the kiosk, always in a good mood and ready for a chat. Thanks for that!Przetłumaczone automatycznie.Odpowiedź od Campingplatz SPO June 11, 2018If there was something to complain about, why can't it be discussed in person on site? backstabbing on the internet is cowardly and primitive.
No backbone to discuss any problems face to face,
unfortunately typical for such "do-gooders" to hide in the anonymity of the internet.
Advantages: Lots of... nice guests who appreciate the top maintained campsite!
Disadvantages: Some guests only show their true colors afterwards !!!
Thank you, operator: The Sass familyPrzetłumaczone automatycznie. - Jürgen T.May 2018PozytywneLocation, cleanliness, tranquillityNegatywneThe motorhome site is a gravelled, parceled-out site that does not invite you to stay longerFriendlinessWe were warmly welcomed and bid farewell at Whitsun 2018. Our wishes and questions were always dealt with kindly.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Katrin M.April 2018PozytywneSuper well-maintained facility, the hosts want us to have a pleasant vacation and do everything for itNegatywneVacation is always too shortMy comment on ugly ratingsWe have been renting a dog-friendly apartment from the Sass family in April/May for 8 years now and stay for about 3 weeks. Camping Sass has become our second home, the site is very well maintained, the good souls are constantly at work to keep everything in good shape or to create and design new things.... We can't understand the nasty and negative comments of some guests, people who write such things should be ashamed of themselves and work off their frustration elsewhere, I recommend long walks on the beach!Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- T. K.August 2017PozytywneLocation, cleanlinessNegatywneAnnoying additional costs for showers and WLAN. Site operator unfriendly, billing regarding children's price not comprehensibleClean - good location - not very hospitableThe campsite is in a beautiful location, you can quickly reach the beach or the center by bike. Clean sanitary facilities and a very well-kept site overall. However, we find additional costs such as 1 EUR for 4 minutes showers with shower coins or 1 EUR per hour for WLAN annoying and no longer in keeping... with the times. Regarding the friendliness of the site operators: the brother (?) of the site operator is super-friendly and helpful with the allocation of pitches and electricity connections. It is also positive to emphasize that we were welcomed 5 minutes after 12:00 noon (lunch break with closed barrier) and were able to register. However, as already mentioned several times, the campsite operator is a bit "Frisian tart", you don't really feel welcome, which we are not used to from other campsites, especially in the south. But then the real kicker was the bill. According to the price list, the children's price applies to "children up to the age of 15". This is understood here to mean that our 15-year-old son had to pay the adult price! Every query or discussion was brusquely prevented. We cannot recommend this beautiful place.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Thomas B.July 2017PozytywneBeautiful location - very well-kept place in nature.NegatywneNo catering except for bread roll service.Beautifully maintained placeFirst of all, we didn't find the operators unfriendly at all. I think the people on the rough North Sea are just a bit "hearty". The site itself is very well-kept. It's true that the permanent campers are further away from the road, but we didn't mind the traffic and it wasn't there at all at night.... You can't really do anything without a bike - as the nearest store is 2 km away as already described and you also have to cycle about 2 km to the supermarkets. You really have to take the wonderful cycle paths along the dyke with you. A "must" for every visitor is the trip to the "Jever" lighthouse Westerheverversand. It is a pity that the small bar with kiosk is no longer in operation. Nothing is offered except bread service. The sanitary facilities are very clean and well-maintained, but with 4 toilets each there are not enough. There should also be a facility on the not-so-small camper van site. All in all, we spent very nice days on the site and there is no reason to go there again.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Ursula B.June 2017Very cleanI stayed at the campsite for 5 nights in June 2017 and was very satisfied. Everything is very well maintained and clean, there is also nothing to criticize about the sanitary facilities, everything is very clean and well maintained. I also can't complain about the Sass family, they were friendly and accommodating at all times. Thank you for the lovely stayPrzetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Renate B.May 2017PozytywneLocation, cleanliness of the siteNegatywneUnfriendly ownersClean facility - but unfriendly hostsWe are impressed by the site, it's really nice. Unfortunately, shopping is not possible - at least not on the campsite. We didn't receive a warm welcome either. We didn't like that at all and have never experienced it in this form before. What a pity. You should remember that the guest also finances the owner's daily bread. A real shame.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Andreas L.April 2017PozytywneClose to the beach, familiar, very clean, quiet, bread service, friendly, always good contact with the owners... ;-)NegatywneToo few toilets and shower facilities in summer;-) This is particularly noticeable at events in SPOALL THE BEST !!!!I have been going there for years, Andrea, Jörg and Achim, the triumvirate, good spirits, always ready to listen, helpful and familiar! I wouldn't want to miss this place and go there at least twice a year to relax and unwind! From my side I can only say: "Keep it up... and THANK YOU for EVERYTHING and the wonderful time in SPO".Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Silvia S.April 2017PozytywneYou can enjoy watching the birds.NegatywnePrices on the motorhome parking space - like on the campsite! Very unfriendly operator!Rather unfriendly, extremely high pricesThe motorhome site opposite the campsite is freely accessible. There is no water on the whole site (Easter vacations) but you still have to pay the same prices as on the campsite! Even for the dogs 2 € each. That's what we call a real rip-off! We won't be back!!!Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Wolfgang# R.September 2016PozytywneProximity to St. Peter-Ording and its sandy beachesNegatywneTourist pitches on a busy roadWell-kept pitch with tourist pitches close to the roadThe campsite is located just outside the village of Bad and its so-called adventure promenade at a distance of 2.5 km on the edge of a country road that is quite busy, at least during the day. In contrast to the tourist pitches, the pitches for permanent campers are a little further away from the road.... The tourist pitches on a separate part of the site are unfortunately quite close to the road (if I had taken a closer look at Google Maps. You can actually see it...). The site looks well maintained, the sanitary facilities are very clean, if a little cramped. One euro for a shower - well, at least the clock stops when there's no water running. The time was enough. We couldn't try out the small "camping bar" as it was closed on Saturday. There's hardly anything to say about St. Peter-Ording at this point. There is something for everyone. Beach walks are just as inviting as the various restaurants. There are endless cycling opportunities, a sandy beach for young and old, a swimming pool with sauna, golf courses, Westerhever lighthouse etc. It's hard to get bored here. We left after just one night, even though 5 nights were planned for the end of our vacation. The location on the street, with a view of a wooden wall, was not good at all. And as for the friendliness at reception ... I'll say: a bit cool. I wouldn't call it directly unfriendly. But my wife and I didn't feel really welcome either - it's just subjective. For us, the location on the street is definitely a criterion for exclusion in the future.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
