- Claudia S.July 2019Pozytywnecosy,familiar, peaceful camp site! Good for tends as well as for caravans. Not to full, everything is reachable by walking distances.Negatywnevery simple, and not many toilets and showers no bakery nearby for the breakfastI liked it very much! This was our first time on Thassos / Greece and camping Pefkari, in the south of the island. There are only four campsites on Thassos and we all looked at each other. What you like or not, of course, depends very much on the personal perspective. We camp and when I go so far, I would like to see the... sea from the tent, and not igrend where in the forest with a view of the next camping car. So we liked it very much. There are not really parceled pitches and there are front as shown, a part that is only suitable for tents. Rear there are also generous areas for campers ect. In the first row, of course, are permanent campers, or rented caravans. The place was amazingly only 50% occupied in mid-July. But I also do not like crowded places. It is a quiet family place. Very nice for children with playground. I heard the mini market closed last year, but only 50 meters from the campsite there is a great deli supermarket at moderate prices. Also, there is no restaurant on site, but in Pefkari, a few steps / 5 minutes to go, many, different taverns go out to eat, buy a snack or ice cream ect. Also the place Potos is within easy walking distance with lots of life .... The fish restaurant IRENE is a tip there, so good and reasonably priced directly at the harbor. From 20 o'clock the people are queuing, so make a better reservation or go to dinner before 20 o'clock. The wash houses are simple, but there is exceptionally great toilet paper. Barbecues, ironing facilities, freezers and electric hotplates for everyone..Yes, and of course it is a pity that there is no bakery for breakfast nearby
- Herbert G.June 2018PozytywneGood restaurant on the squareNegatywneIntolerant dog ownersBeautifully situated, very well-kept campsiteThe campsite is beautifully situated right on the beach. The site managers are friendly, helpful and speak German without an accent. The restaurant is reasonably priced and the food on offer is tasty and prepared with love. Unfortunately, we didn't find the mini-market listed on the campsite website... as it was apparently still closed in the low season. However, you could order bread at reception the evening before for the next day. The site itself is huge and spread over several levels. There are also several wash houses with hot showers and dishwashing facilities. The campsite is suitable for tents, motorhomes and caravans of almost any size. The adjacent beach is mainly fine gravel and bathing shoes are recommended for the sea, also because of the many sea urchins. What we found very negative, however, were the selfish dog owners who liked to let their pets run around freely, although there is a leash requirement for the four-legged friends on the site and simply cannot accept that not everyone likes these animals and is afraid of them, or is afraid of acute respiratory distress due to a pronounced animal hair allergy. And every second camper had dogs during our stay there! This was also the reason why we couldn't stay there for long. So here's an appeal to all campers with dogs: please accept it if there are people who don't like dogs. Often it is actually for health reasons! Thank you.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Sascha T.July 2017Pozytywne-Beautifully landscaped site -right on the beachNegatywne-SanitaryNice place with daunting sanitary facilitiesThe campsite is located directly by the sea and offers many pitches in various sizes in a beautifully landscaped area with plenty of shade provided by tall trees. There are several access points to the pebble beach with a new beach bar (not part of the campsite). Bathing shoes are recommended here. The... campsite has a small mini-market and a very popular taverna. Due to the above-average reviews here in the forum, we came here on the first evening full of anticipation. You order your food in the kitchen and take tablecloths and cutlery with you to your seat on the way back. Drinks are available from the bar. It would be an advantage if you were made aware of this procedure in advance. The food was cheap and okay at best. Unfortunately, our high expectations were not met here. The sanitary facilities are very adventurous and urgently need to be renovated. Many things look provisional and the number of showers and toilets is not sufficient at peak times. The showers cannot be locked and only have a curtain. There were also no hooks or storage facilities. Many toilet doors cannot be locked either. Freezers, fridges and barbecue areas are available. The village of Pefkari adjacent to the site is not very inviting. In the other direction is the larger village of Potos (approx. 10 minutes' walk). There are many restaurants and bars here. Unfortunately, everything here is also very crowded and noisy. A leisurely stroll is not possible here in the HS as the crowds of visitors are joined by cars pushing their way through the narrow streets.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Gerd M.June 2016PozytywneNico's TavernNegatywneLoud music from the neighboring hotel on weekendsNico's Tavern is simply unbeatableThe highlight of Camping Pefkari is Nico's Taverna, which gets the highest possible score from us. The site is located on a wide beach and all pitches, apart from a few reserved for tents, are also easily accessible for larger motorhomes.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Frank B.June 2016PozytywneBest cuisine, friendly staff, great places, everything clean, super waterFantastic kitchen, thank you 😀Many thanks again to Sophia and Nico who spoiled us so well. We had a wonderful time with you in a very friendly and familiar environment and would love to come back. We had little sand on the beach and would recommend bathing shoes. The water is wonderfully clear and the sanitary facilities are simple but clean. We can recommend the place. VG Marion and FrankPrzetłumaczone automatycznie.

- Karl-Heinz K.July 2015PozytywneGreat and inexpensive cuisine in Nikos Platzrestaurant. Beautiful beachNegatywnePlease renovate the sanitary facilities again.Greece "live"We have been to "Pefkari" 12 times since 1989 and have always felt at home. Niko's cuisine is simply brilliant and, above all, good value. Despite the crisis this summer, the people are extremely caring and friendly. Thassos is beautiful!!! - martin w.August 2014From motorhome to tent.Free spaces without boundaries. Large trees provide shade. Unfortunately, despite a high wall, you can hear the traffic all night long on the side near the road. Motorcyclists punctuate the quiet of the night with howling engines and loud bangs. However, if you sleep on the sea side behind the moat,... you won't hear a thing. The cooking facilities and the covered tables are ideal for self-catering and a sociable meeting place for all campers. The water is of drinking quality! The beach is full of the most beautiful crystals. We would go there again.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Dimitris A.August 2014PozytywneQuietness, friendliness, pricesNegatywneThe mini market didn't have sufficient goodsOverall a very good campingPefkari was one of the best camping experiences I ever had. We are a couple and we wanted a relatively quiet, clean and cheap place with clean waters for swimming. Pefkari was the ideal option for us. The personnel is very helpful and friendly, the prices are relatively low and has plenty of space and... good facilities. The location of the camping is a bit remote (there are two villages nearby, but nevertheless it's located in a remote location on the island) but it's easily accessible by vehicles or buses. The restaurant was great, with normal prices and sometimes even lower than those in the surrounding villages. The only problem we had was that the mini market could have more goods suitably for campers (tools, hygiene products etc), but still it was OK.
- Eldezento M.July 2014PozytywneBeautiful sandy beachNegatywneAbsurd restrictions for motorcycles and bicycles. No showers on the beach. Little shadeImpossible for motorcyclesMotorcycles are not allowed on the campsite. Motorcycles are charged, but must be parked in the entrance area. Bicycles may also only be pushed on site. I have never experienced anything like this before, completely crazyPrzetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Birgit T.June 2014PozytywneFriendly, great location, quiet, reasonable pricesAlso welcome as a hotel guestWe spent our vacation at the neighbouring Hotel Alexandra Beach. To get to the diving center in Pefkari, we always walked across the square. Here we were greeted in a friendly manner and we always had something to eat or drink. We liked the price level and the proximity to nature. Lots of German campers. Very good German language skills and very tasty food.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Eberhard F.August 2013PozytywneGood supply centrally locatedSuper tavernNico's taverna is brilliant! The place is a bit outdated and the sanitary facilities urgently need to be renovated. The location is very good, the island is a dream. Overcrowded in the high season!Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Susanne G.August 2013A beautifully situated, still very unspoilt little place on Thassos. Thassos is a dream, not overcrowded, sometimes still really Greek, even in August. The campsite is beautifully situated on its own bay between two villages. They are 10 and 20 minutes away on foot. The site is very, very simple, but... always very clean. The restaurant on site is really really good. The small grocery store could have a bit more, but at least they always have really good fresh bread. It was our first camping vacation on a simple original site (after 12 years of camping in Italy) and we are thrilled. We will be back.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- angelika g.August 2011PozytywneShady spots, beautiful beachNegatywneSanitary facilities just sufficient, cleanliness not, in high season it gets very crowdedBeautiful place, naturalQuiet location, shady spots. Sanitary facilities not sufficient when fully occupied as in mid-Aug.2011, cleanliness not satisfactory (cleaning twice a day is not enough). Toilets lockable, but doors so badly mounted that you almost have to stand on the toilet, nobody is allowed to fall over in there.... Showers only with (sludge) curtain. Strange allocation of seats, no free choice possible, no reservation possible. We were there again in Aug. 2014, unfortunately the sanitary facilities have not improved.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Dimitar K.August 2010Nice place as a whole, but Saturdays very noisy!
- SARAKINOS E.August 2010An awfull location for campsite. Only few trees (mainly olive trees and pines) that can provide barely limited shade. The utilities as well as the wc are insufficient for the number of campers that camp there especialy on August. It is built in the lowest side on its suroundings and therefore there is... no cooling wind at all not even breezes. The beach is rocky and murky as are the nearby beaches one has to go to Limenaria for a decent sand beach. All in all the worst campsite in Thassos.
- Eva K.July 2010Beautiful and also very cheap (in terms of accommodation) family campsite. The people here are very nice and friendly. We have two children (5 and 13 years old). It is quiet and clean. I can highly recommend it.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
