According to the reception staff, the disabled toilet/shower is only available to permanent campers. Any objection was pointless, you were not allowed to finish. Very rude employee or even boss.Discrimination against severely disabled people, unfriendly employees.We were on this course two years ago. Unfortunately we had to go home early. Since it was very nice and there were no problems or discrimination against disabled people, we had decided to visit this campsite again in 2024. The campsite is well signposted, there is plenty of space to park the caravan when you check in, entry is easy, the paths are wide enough, even for large caravans.
The sanitary facilities have everything you need, plenty of showers (including two with detachable... shower hoses), individual wash cubicles, the toilets are nicely separated from the showers so that there is no unpleasant odor. Really hot water both in the showers and in the washing-up area.
The only thing that bothers me are the open toilets at the top and bottom....I also found the showers and wash cubicles a bit cramped, all in I guess 90s style. But everything was always spotlessly clean, even when the cleaning ladies were at work, you could always use the sanitary facilities.
Bread rolls were available to order in advance. We didn't use the restaurant on the pitch.
The "beach area" is probably a dream in summer.
We received great cycle maps at reception on request, the cycle path around the Chiemsee starts right at the campsite and there are also very nice cycle paths inland. The beautiful, well-kept site has very large pitches, modern, clean sanitary facilities and a restaurant. A lot is done for children. There are numerous bathing opportunities, both on a larger... beach and in many small bays. There is also a huge sunbathing lawn with tall trees, where it is pleasantly cool when it is hot. Upon arrival (4 pm approximately) we were told to stand towards a certain area. In itself no problem but the campsite was half empty and I was looking for us a nice place with a view of the lake(dozens of empty places with a view of the lake on a Sunday... night; many new guests will not arrive there on a Sunday night) I go to the reception and report the number (431)of our place. The lady at the reception says this is perfect. 15 min a man comes and says we are not allowed to stand there and another 15 min later another man comes and says angrily, arrogantly and very rudely that we are not allowed to stand there because we are only staying one night and otherwise supposedly disturb the other guests.... that is the policy of the campground. There are more than a hundred empty pitches that are beautifully situated but the guests who stay one night have to pitch at the reception on a field that sinks at least half a meter on a width of let's say 12 meters; just to say that you cannot stand level.
The price for a pitch for second-rate campers (if you stay longer you pay only a little more and you do get to choose a nice pitch), is as low as 41.5 euros and 4.5 euros is charged for an electricity consumption of 5.1 kwH; when would I have consumed that because we left the next morning around 10:00 am. Theft is what it's called!
Conclusion: pathetic owners/operators, campers in transit are inferior(but pay the same amount) and the managers are principled and not open to reason, very expensive camping without atmosphere, electricity must be very expensive in Germany (4.5 euros for less than 18 hours of stay including the night of course), the restaurant was just substandard the showers.... which were ok.

However, families with children have plenty to do here (trampoline, volleyball, football and a very nice playground). The site also... has its own beach. There were no complaints about the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities.
The campsite also has a restaurant with a good range of food and a small store for everyday necessities.

We think the location, 3 km from the highway exit, is just great. The noise from the highway can sometimes be heard, depending on the wind. But that has never bothered us.

We canceled and found accommodation at the Stein campsite on Lake Simssee! Super nice and totally uncomplicated!!!

The fact that your pitch was empty for a few days because we had already reached our maximum number of guests and guests who had not booked were turned away also shows that we do not accept all guests. Dozens of other guests and regular customers can confirm that this was the case this year. Nevertheless, we are pleased that you stayed with the Stein family in Bad Endorf.

Everything is very clean and the owners are friendly and helpful with questions, e.g. about excursions or similar. The site is very... quiet. You can hear the highway from time to time, but it's not really annoying. There is a delicious restaurant with a small mini store. In a few minutes by bike you are in the village of Übersee with a good Edeka, DIY store, pharmacy, ice cream parlor, great Bavarian inns.
