- Hartmut S.July 2018PozytywnePower connection for the night.NegatywneSanitary building not recommendedHighly recommended to and from the ferry! If the ferry arrives late (better go to the toilet here again!), it's about a 10-minute drive to the campsite. The mobile homes are at the very end, but very quiet and with electricity. All the camping neighbors are just passing through for 1 night. Old, very simple sanitary building, not recommendable.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Anton L.June 2017PozytywneThe proximity to the ferry, Harwich itself is a nice little town... There is a lot on offer for childrenNegatywneRather impersonal and occasionally noisy, the garbage bins overflowed, showers only lukewarm...Impersonal giant campsiteIs suitable as a transit site for waiting for the ferry to Holland, mainly permanent campers in mobile homes, not really suitable for tourists...Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Matthias S.August 2015PozytywneProximity to the harborNegatywneToo few power connections, outdated sanitary facilitiesBefore or after the ferry OK - nothing moreWe arrived by ferry at 8.00 pm in the evening and reached the site in 10 minutes (watch out, the navigation system likes to drive you through residential areas...). Large mobile home complex with little charm, plus a large meadow area at the other end bordered by several hedges. The reception by the... warden was OK. Free choice of pitches, but too few electricity connections - we didn't get any more, although the overnight pitches were relatively loosely occupied. The medical center is very old, was dirty with wet grass clippings and in need of renovation. The ladies department was only accessible with a key, which we didn't have and didn't want to get in the middle of the night at the very distant entrance. Just OK for one night, we paid 15 GBP with a Stena Line ticket (2 adults/2 kids + camper van).Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Arne K.July 2015PozytywneLocation at the ferry portNegatywneLack of cleanliness.Just for one night to wait for the ferry. The man in the reception hut was nice, discount on presentation of ferry ticket. Pitches on the green meadow, so far so good. However, you should stay out of the sanitary building if possible if you don't want to catch any diseases. I've never seen anything like it before. It certainly only works like this at this site on the ferry.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Ursula R.July 2015PozytywneLong opening hours, many parking spaces, friendly staffNegatywneUnkempt sanitary facilitiesOnly for short overnight staysWe stayed at this campsite in July 2015. It's ideal if you only need an overnight stay when you come off the ferry. The site is open until midnight. The staff were very nice and we only paid half price due to the Stenaline ticket, i.e. 15 GBP. You have to pay a GBP 10 deposit for the wash house key,... which you get back when you leave. There are plenty of pitches available. However, the wash house was not so good: there were several toilets, wash basins with a door in front of them and only two showers. There was a bench outside in front of the showers. There were no toilet brushes in the toilets. Everything was unkempt. The hot and cold water taps were separate, but that's normal in the UK. All in all, it was good enough for an overnight stay after the ferry crossing.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Walter C.September 2013Can confirm the previous review. We paid 15 pfennigs and therefore 7.50 pfennigs on presentation of the Stena ticket. An addition to the sanitary facilities: Unacceptable. Despite cleaning, greasy and full of vermin.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Bozidar L.July 2013Very friendly and helpful staff. Discounts on presentation of the Stena Line ticket. Spacious grounds, pitches on grass, beach nearby. Ideal for an overnight stay before or after a ferry crossing.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
