- Thomas G.sierpień 2022Pozytywnethe location on the open sea and in the immediate vicinity of the lighthouse, the tent area is very shady and pleasantNegatywnesomewhat expensive as it is on the island, even the drinking water is delivered by shipa beautiful and romantic campsiteIn the off-season, there is always a pitch to be found in the camping area. However, to get a pitch for your desired stay, you should definitely book in advance.
The sanitary facilities are too small and too few for the whole site. However, they were sufficient in the low season and were always clean.... The staff were always friendly and helpful.
The location of the campsite is unique, on the open sea, without any offshore islands, so there were always fantastic sunsets in the evening.
You can also get up to the lighthouse and have a wonderful view from there.Przetłumaczone automatycznie. - Christine S.lipiec 2022PozytywneThe location by the lighthouse, the clear water and the well-kept grounds.NegatywneThe bay is very small for the many vacationers in the high season. You can hardly find a place to lie on the rocks in the bay. You can only pay in cash throughout the camp. There are no cash cards and no cell phones, neither WLAN nor telephone reception. The restaurant only serves overpriced food. The menu is exclusive, there are no "normal" dishes as you would expect on a Croatian campsite. They wait here for local guests from outside who are willing to pay and unfortunately scare away the actual campers by ignoring them or being unfriendly, which is a pity as there is no possibility to stop for a bite to eat in the surrounding area, unless you are motorized. The store has a small selection of drinks and white bread.Unfortunately, the great location does not make up for the many disadvantages. You've come to the right place if you can COMPLETELY do without your cell phone for the duration of your stay. That means no phone calls, no WhatsApp, no status, no reception at all. You have to buy everything you need here before you arrive. And take enough cash with you, you can't do anything else here.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Christoph D.lipiec 2021PozytywneBeautiful bay with lighthouse. Lots of shady spots and some right by the sea. But that was it...Negatywne...incredibly crowded, many groups, loud until late at night. Paramedic facilities too few or too small for the size of the site and the many peopleUnfortunately disappointingWe had hoped for a nice relaxed campsite. Unfortunately, it was anything but. Lots of group campers. Quite a lot of noise everywhere until midnight. The site was super full. Cars everywhere and tents on every corner. It felt more like a large parking lot. We left after one night and drove to Mandarino... (about 10 minutes away). The complete opposite here. Super grilled and clean place. I can recommend Kargita, unfortunately not at all. A great homepage, but the reality was sobering. Rest and relaxation were not possible here. The beach doesn't deserve its name either. Rugged rocky coast. Difficult with children.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Stefan E.lipiec 2020PozytywneSmall, quiet campsite. Fantastic location on the bay with lighthouse.NegatywneNone (it always depends on the expectations).Beautiful placeOne of the most beautiful places I've ever been to. Beautifully situated on the northern tip of the island of Dugi Otok by the lighthouse. Fantastic view of the bay. The campsite has no entertainment, swimming pool or anything similar, which is why it's wonderful if you're looking for a quiet break.... Access to the sea is only possible via flat rocks or a small pebble beach, but the water is very clear. Perfect for snorkeling. About half a dinghy ride away is a sunken shipwreck where you can also go snorkeling. The staff are friendly and the sanitary facilities were always clean. All in all, I can only recommend this place.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Alexander M.sierpień 2019Pozytywne+ wonderful location + peace and quiet +beautiful seaNegatywne- for us personally: no small town to stroll through - overall limited shopping opportunities on the whole islandRelaxing vacation at the seeming end of the world with a magnificent view...We chose this campsite because the location is simply unique. We were traveling with two big children and a baby and had an absolutely wonderful and relaxing vacation. Getting to the island via the ferry from Zadar was easy. However, you should arrive at the ferry in good time. On Dugi Otok itself there... is actually only one road from north to south. This is very well developed and easy to drive with a caravan. The approach to the campsite via the narrow road was also easy to master, even if it can get narrow in some places. But if you drive slowly and carefully....! The welcome at the campsite was friendly and we got our reserved pitch. We were even advised about the shade situation when we booked, as we were traveling with a baby. Very friendly, thank you for that! The pitch (no. 55) by the sea at the back was fantastic and very large. Sunsets to fall in love with guaranteed. As the site is obviously expanding, a container toilet/shower was set up at the back of the site. But the term doesn't really describe it properly. Although it is indeed a container, it is very nicely furnished and was always clean. The main sanitary building is located next to reception, as are the barbecue areas. The toilets and showers were always clean and adequate. The cleaners were constantly mopping and cleaning until late in the evening. The campsite has a small supermarket. Whereby small is to be taken literally here. It is a small room that you can only enter individually. But it has to be said that there was everything we needed here. From fresh bread rolls to sausage, cheese, tinned food, shower gel, wine, water, camping accessories..... so really everything except fresh meat. Unfortunately, there is no fresh meat on the whole island. Every village has just as small a supermarket as the campsite. Only in Sali is there a somewhat larger supermarket. Good weekly planning is required here. However, the lighthouse next door sells fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables and every two days there was a small fish sale in front of reception. We only visited the restaurant for coffee, so we can't comment on the food. However, the view of the sea is wonderful. Unfortunately, music was played at the bar until late in the evening. We didn't hear it at our place, but it could be disturbing at the places in the immediate vicinity. There isn't really a proper beach (fortunately for snorkelers). Although there are two smaller bays where you can enter the sea via coarse pebbles, otherwise access is only possible via shallow rocks. However, this is no problem with bathing shoes. However, the water quality is also correspondingly good. Wonderfully clear and turquoise blue. Perfect for snorkeling. Conclusion: If you are looking for entertainment or shopping experiences, Dugi Otok is the wrong place for you. The place was perfect for relaxing and unwinding. We will definitely be back. Thanks to the operators!!!Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Michael F.sierpień 2019Great spot at the lighthouseFantastic location in a rocky bay and sunset. The staff in the restaurant was a bit unfriendly, otherwise everything was very goodPrzetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Hartwig E.maj 2019PozytywneQuiet location, only nature and great sunsetsNegatywneUnfortunately, garbage here too, plastic like on the whole island, on the most beautiful beaches.Beautiful, fantastically situated placeStaying right next to the lighthouse is well worth a trip to Dugi Otok. The operators of the C.P. are friendly and take great care to keep the site clean. The small but well-stocked supermarket on site provides all the essentials. At the time we were there, the water supply (cisterns) was still being... built, but it wasn't a problem, especially as we were asked if it made any difference if the digger drove through the site. We had a nice, quiet time on our pitch, even though we were staying right next to the restaurant.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Luise L.wrzesień 2018beautiful place - also for tent ownersThe campsite is small and therefore cozy. The staff were friendly. The location - right by the sea - is a dream. The sanitary facilities were always clean thanks to the hard-working cleaning lady. However, the odor trap did not always work. If you could buy a rice drink or soy cream in the market in... future, that would be great. The tent owners would also be pleased if the space provided for them was a little less stony and cleaner. The site for the tents is otherwise well located - far away from the mobile homes, so that the only thing in the way of peace and quiet is the fridge of the neighboring campers, if there is one :D The covered lounge area with gas cooking corner is really pleasant! We'd love to come again.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Karin L.czerwiec 2018PozytywneFriendliness, cleanliness, naturalness. A dream for those seeking relaxation and dog owners. The island offers plenty to explore.NegatywneFruit, vegetables and meat cannot always be bought locally, but you can buy them in Sali. Nothing else negative for us.our most relaxing vacation everIt was our first time at this campsite and we were soooooo impressed that we will be coming again with friends in September. The campsite is located in paradise next to the beautiful Veli Rat lighthouse. There is something for everyone here, from hikers and mountain bikers to sun worshippers. However,... if you are looking for entertainment, swimming pools and party, party, party and halligalli, this is not the place for you. We were given a very warm welcome and the whole team is simply great. The restaurant "MIMO" served the freshest seafood, sensationally prepared. The owner of CP Drazen goes fishing with his father early in the morning every day to spoil the guests with fresh fish, prawns, lobster, squid and mussels during the day. As there is no menu, Ivan explains the daily specials in perfect German, English and Italian. Of course, meat and pasta lovers are also catered for. There is a small store selling the essentials alongside fresh pastries and strudels every day. We will now miss the crystal clear sea, the most beautiful bays, the great campsite with the clean sanitary facilities (the staff are always cleaning!!!) and the excellent restaurant for two months. Dear Kargita team, we look forward to seeing you! See you soon Karin (Gabi), Reinhard (Jürgen) and MerlinPrzetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Hildi A.czerwiec 2018PozytywnePeace, relaxation, nature, swimming.Negatywneimpersonal, should not be larger under any circumstances. No waste separation.RelaxationBeautiful and quiet. Lots of nature. Fortunately no animation. Relatively small place. Everything seems to be trying, but still awkward. Guests hardly ever say hello, which is a bit strange, is that due to the impersonality of the operators? I have no idea. Suggestion: Put up signs in Czech and Hungarian too. Waste of drinking water is conspicuous.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Margarete B.wrzesień 2016PozytywneClean, quiet, beautiful water, great sunsetsNegatywneQuite full CP, pitches quickly sold out due to simultaneous arrival of the ferry, few leisure activities, no rentalSatisfiedWe normally only stay at a campsite for 2 nights, but we spent 5 nights here. The arrival was difficult, we arrived at the camp around 2 pm due to the ferry (12 pm from Zadar to Brbinj). However, as the camp is closed between 12pm and 5pm, we had to wait patiently until reception opened. In my opinion,... the operators could take this into consideration. In addition, the woman at reception was very bored and unfriendly with us. She didn't even know which pitches were free and told us to go and see for ourselves where something was available. We then decided on a pitch on the tent meadow, where not everyone adhered to the "camping without a car" rule. However, the sanitary facilities were server modern and there was nothing missing. The cleaning lady was also very thorough and spent the whole day cleaning. The beach and the lighthouse are very nice. The restaurant is also recommendable. There is also a small market where you can get fresh bread rolls in the morning. There is no fruit and vegetables there, but a nice woman at the lighthouse sells some types of fruit and vegetables. We felt comfortable at the campsite, but unfortunately the rather dirty impression of Croatia could not be refuted here either. On a walk north of the campsite to the tip of the island, we noticed the masses of garbage that never seem to be cleared away. We also frequently noticed garbage on the paths to other campsites. Otherwise, the island of Dugi Otok is very beautiful and not overcrowded. We kept bumping into the few people who were on the ferry with us. Whether in Sali or on the Caribbean sandy beach of Sakarun. Another small highlight was the visit to an old boat bunker in a bay near Bozava. We would definitely come back to the island and be enchanted by the nature and the underwater world! Attention: refueling for both cars and boats is only possible in Zaglav just before Sali in the south of the island, and quite expensive (super for 9.96 kn)Przetłumaczone automatycznie.

- Friedrich G.wrzesień 2015PozytywneCar-free camping area in beautiful pine forest, location,NegatywnePrices on the island, supply options somewhat limited,Space with potentialThe site is beautifully situated at the northern end of the tranquil island facing west/sunset (which is also important to me in the fall) at the end of an approx. 4 km long cul-de-sac, narrow and with bushes encroaching, so that white giants and alpha animals tend not to approach the site. The tent... area in a pine forest with old trees is particularly beautiful, and it is nice that the vehicles have to stay outside; the motorhome area is mostly under mat roofs, as the trees are still young. The beaches are rocky with small gravel pits in between and very crowded in front of the campsite even at the beginning of September. The site still looks unfinished and a little untidy, which also has its charm. The cleaning service does a great job. Yes, the place is a bit expensive, but the whole island seems overpriced to me (restaurants - only mediocre, not with the prices and also the stores) - do you pay for the quiet beauty?Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Max F.wrzesień 2015PozytywneQuiet and good bathing spots.NegatywneNo fresh food. Relatively expensive NS 30 euros.Dugi OtokNew small place, very quiet with beautiful bays next to the lighthouse.staff reserved friendly.clean sanitary facilities.would come back.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Silvia H.sierpień 2014PozytywneNew clean sanitary facilities. Beautiful small beaches with clean water.NegatywneVery remote. Shopping facilities and restaurant far awayQuiet camp with beautiful sunsetsCP was opened in June. At the end of August it was already overcrowded. We were offered the chance to camp with our small tent on the children's playground and then move over. During the day there were only a few tents, but this changed abruptly with the evening ferry. Over 20 tents were piled up at... the children's playground. However, we stayed five nights because the sanitary facilities were new and very clean. As we couldn't get electricity, we were offered a fridge. The price of the CP was very cheap because we didn't have to pay for a pitch. The cramped playground was actually an adventure. We fled straight to the beach for breakfast. The baker comes in the morning. It's better to stock up on food on the mainland. There is a restaurant. In the high season, it is better to make a reservation if possible. The island itself is very quiet and a dreamPrzetłumaczone automatycznie.
