The site is quiet, away from the main road, directly on a lake, most of the pitches in a sparse forest of leaves. There is also a small meadow, but this was not allowed to be used. Friendly operators who speak some English. We visited the site a few years ago and were surprised at what we found here.... In all these years, hardly a brushstroke has been made, not a broken or rusted screw or the broken shower bracket has been replaced. The restaurant with terrace, directly on the lake, was closed about 10 years ago. Instead of converting it into a lounge, especially for tent guests, with cooking and washing-up facilities, nothing was done, the curtains were simply drawn. It would also be nice if there were a few tables and chairs on the terrace directly on the lake where you could sit down comfortably and enjoy the view of the lake. The sanit. The sanitary facilities are getting on in years, look accordingly and are only more or less clean. There is a washing-up area and washing machine in the upper part of the site. For guests in the lower part of the campsite, there is a dishwashing sink and an oven in the ladies' toilet. You can also light your own fire, for which there is wood available, also for the sauna. It's a pity that this site is no longer maintained, even though the season only lasts 3 months > 1.6.-31.8. There are also some hytters on the site, but we can't give an assessment of their furnishings and condition. At the entrance you can buy a few groceries, supermarket, bank and post office are in Suomussalmi, about 5 KM. away
