There are 2 campsites in the town, but they belong together. We stayed on the smaller site in the town (40 pitches). There is a nice baby changing room which, unlike many others we have seen, you can also use! The sanitary facilities are secured with a numerical code, the disabled and baby changing room... has its own code, which pays off. There is also a shower so that you can shower together as a family. The kitchen is very modern and there is even a dishwasher. There is a dining room next to the kitchen. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Although all the pitches were occupied, they found us a place for one night. There is probably also a meadow for tents, but this seems to be on a slope (small flat strip on the slope to the windmill). The only negative thing is the street noise (which we were not used to). But you can get to the center and the canal very quickly on foot.

Söderköping is a very nice place, place is close to the center, good hiking opportunities and walking along the canal and in the city

The campsite is right on a main road, the only disturbance was the air brakes of the trucks coming down the hill.
City camping in Söderköping
City campsite on the edge of Söderköping at the beginning of the Göta Canal. You can get to the beautiful little town and the canal very quickly. There are good walking and hiking opportunities. The sanitary facilities are clean and not quite modern. The kitchen building is a bit basic - next to it is... a small hut where you can eat. The staff are friendly and helpful. The pitches are straight and overgrown with grass. There are large trees and hedges.

Camping
We stayed at the campsite for one night. The staff were friendly. The sanitary facilities seemed to be new or at least they have been renovated. They were very clean. The town is only a few minutes' walk away. The street noise didn't bother us. The site is small but nice.

The pitch is close to the city and therefore not really quiet, but you are right in the middle of it. Sanitary facilities not the newest and a bit tight, but clean. Pitches are OK, staff were nice and friendly.
