- Markus E.August 2017PozytywneSanitary modern and very clean, nice staff, entire facility very well maintained.NegatywneNoneBeautiful campsiteThe campsite is very clean, the staff is friendly and helpful. Ideal starting point to drive towards Brighton or Beachy Head or in the other direction (Portsmouth, Southampton). Large supermarket in the immediate vicinity. The train and the nearby road can be heard during the day, but it is quiet at night. With CKE there is a 12 pound discount per night, as already mentioned. Highly recommended.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Gerd M.July 2016PozytywneClean, reasonable price, friendlinessNegatywneNoneGreat placeWe stayed at this site for 2 weeks, it was the starting point for excursions from Beachy Head (Eastbourne) to Southampton. The pitches are very well maintained and with intact turf or gravel if desired. The sanitary facilities are of a very good standard and were always very clean. The reception was... very friendly. At peak times you can hear a railroad line and a road. We didn't find it disturbing and at night it was completely quiet. A reservation is highly recommended, because on the weekends the place was always full. Due to various "pensioner offers" there was a further peak in occupancy from Monday to Thursday. Membership of the CC or another camping card (we have the CKE) saves £12 per day. You book as a non-member and only pay the price as a member on site. There is little food available on and around the site, but this is not a problem if you are a trailer driver, as there are various supermarkets within a few kilometers. You can walk through the village to the beach or harbor in 30-40 minutes. We had a very nice two weeks.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Jürg B.June 2014PozytywneBeautifully landscaped site with many excursion possibilitiesNegatywneThere may be problems without a reservationDO NOT ARRIVE WITHOUT A RESERVATIONA beautifully laid out site with large pitches and a large clean sanit. block. Easily accessible from the A27 via Lyminster. Ideal location for many excursions in the region, e.g. Brighton, Eastbourne etc., also a good distance from the ferry in Newhaven, approx. 1 hour. Unfortunately the "boss" didn't... have her best day and because we hadn't made a reservation the tone became even more unfriendly. So we had to leave again the next day, which was Friday, because all the free pitches were supposedly reserved for the weekend and there was no chance of finding a free pitch. When we arrived on Thursday, only half of the 120 or so pitches were occupied. Next to us was a Scotsman who had experienced the same fate as us. Never before in his long life as a camper had he encountered such unfriendly staff on a pitch and had made no effort at all to find a solution for a longer stay. We both left at 8 o'clock on Friday morning. What a shame, the site would have been really great for a longer stay.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
