The site was open until 8pm and kindly welcomed us for the night. After a personal tour of the campsite, we were able to enjoy the very personally designed ambience of the site. Very well-kept, the site invites you to stay longer to switch off and relax. We couldn't find a bakery within walking distance, but we knew how to help ourselves. The access road... is quite narrow in some places, but the local residents were very friendly and patient. Lovingly designed, and very quiet (pure nature), if it wasn't for the groundsman (couldn't find out if he was the owner), in any case he was so unfriendly (he left us standing in reception for 15 minutes without greeting us (hello or greetings) until he spoke to us and took us... to the pitches. Friendliness is an absolute must for me and my friends. The relaxation effect is phenomenal due to the absolute peace and quiet. We had a direct view of the lake. The sanitary facilities are not up to the standard of a luxury campsite, but they are fine. A very nice owner couple greeted us and assigned us our pitch with a fantastic view. We were traveling with a fairly large motorhome. The access road to the campsite and some of the pitches is quite a challenge. But you are rewarded with pure nature... and friendly hosts. There is a small bistro where the owner offers snacks (schnitzel etc.). A small organic food store about 400 meters from the campsite provides you with the essentials. However, you should do your bulk shopping in the nearest towns (Kaiserbäder) before you arrive if possible. The nearest major shopping facilities are approx. 5 km away. This is the place we've always been looking for: The site is located directly on the Schmollensee, you can enjoy the wonderful view over the lake from your tent, the sea eagle circles above you - simply fantastic. A few... steps away is a small bathing area (with sunbathing lawn) by the lake, a beautiful path leads through the forest to the wild beach of the Baltic Sea between Bansin and Ückeritz (nudist and textile - as you like it). The campsite is surrounded by meadows and forests in the so-called Sellin Switzerland - fantastic - it is only three kilometers by road to the seaside resort of Bansin - by the way, the road was completely renovated over the winter. Last summer, we enjoyed returning from the hustle and bustle of the beach to the tranquil place every evening. The couple who run the place are super committed and friendly, and a few small dishes are freshly prepared in the bistro (very tasty, highly recommended!) If you are looking for peace and nature, this... is the place for you. No hustle and bustle like at the crowded beach places. By bike in 20 minutes on the beach or in Bansin. Unfortunately there is no jetty. The jetty on the website is in Benz. You can only get directly to the shore at one point, which is overgrown with reeds everywhere.
