Unfortunately totally on the verge of demolition.
We booked 6 days, but unfortunately had to leave after 3 days because the weather was so bad that I got a sinus infection.
Nevertheless
we had to pay for all 6 days. Plus horrendous electricity prices of 60 euros for these 3 days.... All in all, we paid over 400 euros for 3 days. The excuse from the operators was, well, they just had big expenses for the renewal. Absolutely not flexible and unfortunately not recommended at all. The site is at over 1300m with a lot of wind. Too bad for the beautiful place, that's how you scare away campers. Let's see how many more years this will last.
Unfortunately only out for profit.

Everything is very modern and newly built. The restaurant, the store and the bread roll service are great.
The store is necessary as there are only very limited shopping facilities in Vals itself.
If you want to... do more shopping you have to drive to Mühlbach (9 km) or Brixen (22 km).
Everything is available at the campsite, including chemical toilet emptying.
The pitches are large enough if you are not staying overnight.
When the site is full, you can always expect to have to wait in the showers, so one point is deducted for this, as the sanitary blocks are new and the low number of showers is incomprehensible.
Especially when every free spot on the campsite is rented out for overnight guests in the high season.
The staff are really very friendly, the owners themselves still have room for improvement in this respect.......
You should be mobile, as there is not much on offer in this dead-end valley...ideal for those seeking peace and quiet.
Suggestion for improvement: rental car, which you can hire at reception.

The pizzeria on the pitch is new and modern and the pizza is delicious.

Beautiful campsite situated in a valley basin.
We were greeted on arrival but not in a friendly manner. We had to ask the lady at reception for everything. For guests... coming to a campsite for the first time, we expect completely different information.
The neighboring wood chip heating plant was very annoying, at least during our stay.
The location is right next to the cable car to the Gitschberg, which was also free to use during our stay. You can go on one or two hikes here.
There's nothing for normal cycling, just the main road into the valley.

Beautiful pitches in various sizes are available and each has its own supply column, from which fresh water is supplied even in winter.
It is also easy to get here with larger vehicles, the road leading to Vals is well developed. Once you arrive,... you are greeted by friendly staff, who take care of the check-in quickly.
The sanitary facilities are easily accessible from all pitches, fully equipped and up to date. However, we noticed that the women's showers have a shower, but that the men's showers do not. In addition, the toilets, which are not adjacent to a wall, require contortion exercises to reach the paper because it hangs at the back of the wall. It would have been better to build more stable partition walls to be able to mount the paper there :-).
The site has a well-functioning free Wi-Fi, outdoor and indoor playgrounds for children and is very nicely designed.
Fresh bread rolls are available on site without pre-ordering and there is a well-stocked store. The pizzeria/restaurant is definitely recommended, we really enjoyed the food.
You get the Almencard Plus for free with your stay. This includes all public transport in South Tyrol and other services. The location of the place is very suitable for excursions on foot or by mountain bike. The only drawbacks are that the nearby gondola lift can only be used free of charge at certain times and the valley path to Mühlbach leads along the road for about a kilometer - almost life-threatening for pedestrians. However, the CP cannot be held responsible for these two points.

The location of the campsite was also ideal. There were beautiful hiking trails and nature trails close by. The surroundings were simply breathtaking.
There were also a variety of leisure facilities on the campsite itself. There was a playground for children, a volleyball court and even a small café where you could buy snacks and drinks.
