Pitches on gravel with Irish green grass in between, some with a (small) view of the Cliffs of Moher. Very easy to drive on. Comfortable, well heated rental tents. Sanitary facilities clean but basic. Very friendly and helpful staff. Fresh water supply, gray water and chemical toilet disposal. Several pubs with live music within walking distance.

For one night only
To be completely honest, we actually wanted to go to another camping & caravan park, as you can see the Cliffs of Moher directly from there. Unfortunately, the site was completely full, which didn't happen again during our entire vacation in Ireland. Fortunately, the Riverside Caravan & Camping Park... was only a kilometer away. When we arrived there, we weren't given too much hope at reception. However, as someone had booked until 8pm but hadn't turned up by 8.30pm (in the meantime), we were able to take the pitch. Guests who arrived a few seconds after us were sent away. The gratitude that we were accepted "last minute" should not influence an objective assessment, but it does give us 5 stars in terms of friendliness. Otherwise the campsite is more like a parking lot. In terms of comfort, it doesn't score at all. The pitch we were allocated consisted entirely of anti-freeze material. It was almost impossible to hammer in pegs for the awning. Despite this and the general cramped conditions, the site was very busy and completely overcrowded, which was probably due to the nearby attraction, the Cliffs of Moher. The sanitary facilities were quite clean, but there were queues at the showers and toilets due to the high occupancy. The site was okay for an overnight stay, but I wouldn't visit it again.
