- Dagobert S.July 2018PozytywneEverything okNegatywneVery little shadeThe best CP in general condition I found in BulgariaIt's hard to find a better and more well-kept place in Bulgaria. Only the GPS data given is not quite right. 41.870278 N 25.991583 E and you are standing in front of the entrance gate. A friendly operator, unfortunately only English-speaking, very clean sanitary facilities, level pitches, electricity, drinking water, W-LAN,Przetłumaczone automatycznie.

- Mélodie N.August 2017PozytywneMatt; great priceNegatywneThe trees are still small and don't cast much shade over the tent.ExcellentWe stayed for four days in August at Sakar Hills, in a tent. The price was 8 euros, for two, all included (electricity, wifi,...). The campsite is Matt's garden, behind the house, at the foot of an old West-East railroad line. It's very well equipped: sanitary facilities, barbecue, pergola, tables, electric... sockets, fridge! The only thing missing is a little more shade in summer (we left during the heatwave...) Matt is very friendly, and a wellspring of information about Biser, Harmanli and Bulgaria. He's originally from the UK, but has lived here for a long time. We spent a lot of time with him, he's funny and always has a thousand stories to tell. He guided us to swimming pools, restaurants, the best petrol pump... He also agreed to let us pay him half in levas, half in euros, to get rid of the last of our foreign currency before crossing into Turkey! In short, a golden guy!Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Helga I.July 2017have already been there 3 times on the way to GreeceVery clean, tidy and easy to reach place. A very friendly atmosphere although only English speaking. Very suitable for visiting the surrounding sights. However, there is no offer of food and drink. Highly recommended for onward travel to Greece and Turkey.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Anthony G.May 2017PozytywneWiFi and very clean sanitary facilities.NegatywneI couldn't stay longer. One of the best in BulgariaMatt, the owner, is very welcoming and informative of all things Bulgarian. Sanitary facilities are excellent. This is one quietest location that I used within this group of 7. No I shall state that all four that I visited were quiet. Use their on-site map for this group of 7 other sites while in this beautiful friendly country. You should not be disappointed. As a single traveller I was given a small but welcome discount at Sakar.

- Alin M.June 2015PozytywneWine, hospitalityNegatywneLack of shadeSmall, cozy, friendlyOn the way to Turkey we stopped in this campground for one night. The campsite is nice, it was quite empty when we arrived. Very good camping conditions. I think however the owner will be rather affected by the fact that behind the campsite a railway line is being built on a rather high embankment which... will affect the peace when it will be put into use, but when we were there everything was fine. Oh, almost forgot, the owner is also a wine producer, a very good quality wine...Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Rik G.May 2015Group trip seniorsSmall campground with English operators with 2 all-in bathrooms for the men and 2 for the women. For a group of 40 people grossly inadequate and not at all practical. Hot water is also insufficient; there was still not enough for washing dishes. Well free Wi-Fi ). Camping not suitable for such a large group.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.Odpowiedź od Sakar Hills Camping June 8, 2015We are sorry to hear that you have a negative impression of our site. We cater to smaller groups and individual campers and caravanners. We pride ourselves on our facilities and service, and understand that larger groups do stretch the resources to the limit. I hope that you can understand that there are no other options in this region and we always do our best to do what we can to accommodate all guests as best we can.
- reiner d.August 2014Direct access roads to the square back in orderSince a bridge is closed, if you come from the direction of Turkey you have to take a detour of about 20 kilometers if you come from the direction of Yugoslavia it is about 10 kilometers Attention: the bridge is repaired and the access roads can be reached again without detours.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.

- Ton I.September 2013In the immediate vicinity there is nothing to do, but it is an excellent transit campground for Turkey goers. Probably the last campsite where you can still find toilets. The Eastern Rhodopes are about 50 km to the south. You can still see vultures flying in the mountains there. Administrator is English and also maintains an English standard for the plumbing.

POLECAM w trasie do i z Turcji.
- Kaj B.July 2010For overnight stays while traveling, this site is quite good. It is small with plenty of space and OK sanitary installations. No shop or anything else. Seems like it is set in the villa's garden. Located in the open countryside but quite close to a small village where we were told there are shopping facilities, but we did not use it.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
