"Nothing to relax about - The approach to the campsite is quite exciting, I was glad that our medium-sized trailer is not 2.50 wide. But everything is doable if you take it easy. It is important to follow the signs SS145 to Sorrento and then to Massa Lubrense, not the navigation system. In Sorrento Piano and Sorrento, the SS145 makes a detour around the town center. The pitches with panoramic views are quite narrow, we could only just manage to extend the awning. But the view is magnificent. In my opinion, the site is not suitable for a beach vacation, no decent beach and difficult access via many steps. On the other hand, the whole area with the Amalfi Coast, Capri and the immediate surroundings of Sorrento can be explored very well from here thanks to good bus and boat connections. But then you want to keep going because you can hear the rattling Vespas and honking buses all the time. There is a small store with all the essentials and a simple restaurant. The pizza marinara was delicious. Communication in English was no problem, all the staff were very friendly. Sanitary facilities were ok and clean.

"Good place to explore the area - Good place to explore the area, but not recommended for a longer vacation (VERY noisy - road traffic). The place is nice, but could be much, much nicer if a little more care was put into it - just very careless in places. The staff were mostly friendly and helpful A shuttle service for 1 €/p. P to Sorrento (which can only be reached on foot by the weary) is offered. The pitches are very small and we got an even smaller one, although there were enough others available - the motorhome (7 m) and just a small table and 2 chairs fitted in. However, as we only endured the hustle and bustle and road noise for 3 days, it was OK.

"Great location and view, but otherwise? - Driving through Sorrento with a caravan is an absolute horror. Narrow streets, parking bays and crazy, life-weary cyclists. Caution: the satnav wanted to send us along the SS145, which has been turned into a pedestrian zone. The alternative route runs to the left (south) above this road. The infrastructure on the site is modest. No hot water for shaving. Some of the pitches are very narrow. The paths on the site are steep. All facilities on the site only accept an internal prepaid card. This in turn can only be topped up with cash. The 4-star rating and the price derived from it are not justified. The view, at least on the slightly more expensive pitches with a sea view, is breathtaking. However, there is no discount on these pitches.

"Carriage driving for advanced riders! - The drive through Sorrento is a real experience and requires strong nerves. But then you are right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the Amalfi Coast with a great view and still find the necessary peace and quiet on the campsite.

"Perfect location for exploring the Amalfi Coast - We were there in July, 2 people, motorhome, €38/night + €10/day extra for a pitch with a panoramic view. The drive through Sorrento is an experience in itself, you should already know your vehicle and have a little self-confidence ;) The same applies to the access to the pitches, but all in all it's no problem even with mobile homes >7m! You will be allocated a pitch, but you are welcome to renegotiate in a friendly manner. If you want a panoramic pitch (recommended!), it's best to let us know straight away so that you don't have to "drive off" via the terraces. The sanitary facilities are getting on in years but are clean and are cleaned several times a day. The walk to the beach is really long and arduous, you only really do it once a day. The walk to the pool is shorter and well worth it! The campsite is the perfect place from which to explore the Amalfi Coast by scooter! You can hire a scooter at a good rate and it will even be brought to the campsite if you wish. The coastal road to Positanao and Amalfi is a great day trip, Sorrento itself is also worth a day's stroll and as a base for excursions to Capri, Naples and Pompei. Driving on the coastal road with a motorhome is prohibited during the day! For good reason, you should definitely not try it!

"Amazing nature + high level of service = romantic vacation - We rested in the camping with my husband, we are 42 and 51 years old. First 3 days in Napoli & 4 days in Sorrento, in the best camping of my life! It's true. We are tourists with a long experience. It was unforgettable, to stay in olive grove, among laurel bushes, flowering oleanders, hanging over our heads lemons and mandarins.... There are kind animals in the zoo :) Turquoise beach for snorkeling ... Magnificent panoramic views for photos overlooking Vesuvius and Sorrento ... We sincerely thank the team Santa Fortunata for the warm welcome!

Log Cabins and bungalows prefabricated in wood, complete with kitchen, fridge, toilet and shower facilities, hot and cold water, …electric heaters, bed linen and towels, insuring a comfortable stay. Private rocky beach, swimming pool, restaurant, bar and mini market. Excursions leaving from the Campsite - Campeggio Santa Fortunata Campogaio for: Capri, Ischia, Pompei, Herculaneum, Positano, Amalfi, Ravello, Paestum, Naples and Vesuvius. The Camping Village is 1.5 km from the centre of Sorrento and is well connected by public transport with buses running every 20 minutes until late at night. Panoramic pitches with a view of Vesuvius and the Gulf of Naples, immersed in Mediterranean vegetation of olives, lemons, and oak trees centuries old, guaranteeing a holiday close to nature. Equipped with electrical hook ups with 6 amp, various communal shower blocks with toilet and shower facilities, with free hot showers and basins to wash clothes and dishes. Large entrance which allows easy access to our campsite. We are the only campsite on the Sorrentine Peninsular and Amalfi Coast which can accommodate large caravans and campervans, with the possibility to use the Camper Service, discharge the chemical WC and re-fill drinking water. After passing through the town ofà Sorrento, continue in the direction of Massa Lubrense following the Via Capo; after approximately 1.5Km you will find our Campsite Villaggio Campeggio Campogaio SantaFortunata street no 39 on the right hand side of the road ( Capo di Sorrento). From the South of Italy: After having taken the A16 Bari-Napoli follow the signs for Penisola Sorrentina which will direct you along the A3 NAPOLI - Reggio Calabria.
