Some pitches located directly on the Wolfach stream. Some pitches with fresh water and waste water connections. Sanitary facilities very clean and modern. Small playground and water basin with play boats. Small animal enclosure with rabbits and guinea pigs.NegatywneGives nothing 😌 Points awarded: there are only two sinks, therefore -1 point. Infrastructure: Schapbach is a small town. You can't expect much there 😉 Catering: it is a CP! There is a small corner store in the village and many farmers offer regional, home-made products.Beautiful time out in the Black ForestI thought long and hard about whether to write a (positive) review, as this campsite is in such a quiet location and I don't want to destroy its character with too many people.

If you like peace and quiet, you can chill out and cool your feet in the river Wolf in warm weather. If you want action, you can go hiking, cycling or visit the numerous museums in the area or take advantage of other leisure activities in the region. The small towns in the area are also lovely. Despite the fact that we had reserved a pitch in advance, we were sent across the small pitch with the statement: "I have this, this and this pitch. Take a look at them and tell me which one you want."
There is no huge shopping center on the square and no restaurant... where you can order a 5-course menu.
There is a bread roll service with delicious bread rolls. There are essentials for campers to buy in the small shop. There is also a snack bar that offers food and drink, which in our opinion is perfectly adequate for camping.
The site is clean and the sanitary facilities are clean, although we never saw anyone cleaning. This is not to say anything negative. Rather, there were no closing times for cleaning and it was still clean.

For bikers, cyclists and even scout groups with a large meadow possible.NegatywneWe were 2 adults with 2 children on site and were thrilled.Well-kept and heartily managed facilityWe were there with 2 adults and two children (6 and 14 years). The owners welcomed us warmly and gave us detailed information about the complex and possible and useful excursions.
The TIP with the butcher around the corner was worth its weight in gold as we were thinking of taking everything with us... on departure but this would have been a mistake. Next to the butcher is also a well-stocked supermarket so you can find everything you need. Also in the immediate vicinity is a newly opened swimming pool and if you want it for free there is a stream in front of the door ;-)
The complex is well maintained with its own animal husbandry. We saw goats, small pigs, guinea pigs and bunnies on our short walk.
We rented a caravan and it exceeded our expectations with very good equipment and in a very well-kept condition.
The sanitary facilities have very good showers, toilets and a room where you can wash your dishes. We rented the family cabin and were very happy with the cleanliness and facilities.
In the immediate vicinity there is a bear park where abused bears enjoy their freedom for amusement. On a tour of about 1.5 hours we saw 5 to 6 bears as well as wolves and wild cats. Definitely worth a visit. Not far away is a very beautiful waterfall that can be reached with a short walk. Unfortunately I have forgotten the name...
Our conclusion is that we will visit the resort again this year because there is still a lot to discover in the area.
As we felt at home, no other resort would come into question.

Bus stop in front of the campsite with connections to Freundenstadt and Wolfach. If you want your own bathroom, you can rent a family bathroom. There is also a vacation apartment, a small apartment and caravans for rent.
Some people are bothered by the sawmill or the noise of the river. We have never seen either as a nuisance.
E-bikes are available to hire.
