There is always a pitch available, even in the main season. The operators go to great lengths to ensure that campers feel comfortable. There are clear rules that are observed. The site is quiet and sometimes it is an advantage that there are... mainly middle-aged campers on the site. There is not much on offer for children. The pool is small, but ideal for relaxing and swimming short lengths. The sanitary facilities were always clean and relatively modern. The sanitary facilities for the disabled are a little difficult to reach in a wheelchair, especially in the dark the gravel path to the ramp is an experience. The site is not lit at night. There are only lamps at the wash house. There are also minor improvements everywhere, which is why the site only gets 4 stars. We were given a very nice welcome and the pitches were chosen according to our wishes. The site was rather empty overall, will probably go into the winter break soon. The site is super nice with trees and hedges here and there but not... fully parceled out. This gives it an almost park-like impression in places. The sanitary building was always clean and there are sandwiches and snacks available at reception. You can go on lovely walks from the site. The only "drawback" is perhaps the somewhat high electricity price plus electricity connection fee. And a hairdryer in the wash house would also be nice! But otherwise everything was great. It doesn't matter which space you have reserved, you just take the one that suits you. However, it is important that you stay at the front of the parking lots first, as there is no option at reception. There are many different pitches... (size, sun, shade....) so everyone should find something. The sanitary facilities are very nice and were always clean. Basically, the site is very quiet on the edge of the village and borders on a forest. There are nice "walking paths" from the campsite. The peace and quiet was disturbed in the evenings by lawn mowing, hedge trimming, leaf blowers... I think this work could also be done during the day. There is actually also a nice pool, but the owner couldn't find a solution (Covid-19) on how to put it into operation. This works at many other campsites. When I took the liberty of asking, the answer was "be happy that you can camp again". The towns nearby, Gemünden and Lohr am Main, are very nice and worth a stroll, and the ruins in Gemünden offer a great view. I have to agree with my predecessor about the price for the dog, why do you pay anything for a dog. Many destinations (Lohr, Marktheidenfeld, Karlstadt) can be reached by bike, the return journey was usually by train, a good alternative for the children in the heat. We also went to Schweinfurt by train, as well as Würzburg,... both cities were worth a trip. The nearby town of Gemünden also offers great opportunities, and as is typical for Franconia, food and drink are well catered for everywhere. The forest close to the campsite invites you to go hiking, cycling and walking, also ideal for the dog. The owners are friendly and helpful, you can also buy something in the small store in reception, otherwise you can cycle to Gemünden. The terrace on the pitch is ideal for drinking wheat beer. We were also impressed by the new sanitary facilities, unfortunately some areas were not accessible due to the corona situation. We will definitely be back. There is a large selection of bread rolls that can be ordered daily. You can stock up on magazines, drinks and other items at the registration desk. The cycle paths in the area are well signposted and there are beautiful routes along the Main, Sinn and Saale rivers. The site is close to a railroad junction, which you can hear, but it doesn't bother you after a short time. You are sure to find a pitch to suit you, either under trees with shade or absolutely sunny, open to the side or framed by hedges, various sizes up to 160 m², almost all with electricity and many with a direct water connection. Here you are not standing in your neighbor's awning... when you leave your caravan, all entrances and exits are possible without time-consuming manoeuvring. However, if you're looking for a lot of noise and gullies, you've come to the wrong place. You can't hear any roads and even the trains running along the Main can only be heard if you listen very carefully. The sanitary facilities were probably recently rebuilt, they are in top condition and spotlessly clean. The hot water in the showers is activated with a chip card and only charges when you turn on the hot water. As soon as you turn it off again, nothing is charged. If you take a long, leisurely shower, you can easily get by with 40 - 50 cents. We think this is a good solution as it also helps to save energy. These chip cards also work in exactly the same way for washing dishes; you pay 20 - 25 cents for a sink full of (very) hot water. In the sanitary building there is also a steam bath and a whirlpool, the launderette, a playroom and recreation room, the chemical toilet and much more. 2 well-equipped playgrounds for children and a swimming pool round off the facilities. A small restaurant offers drinks at fair prices. The food you can order, however, is delivered by nearby restaurants. Certainly a somewhat unusual solution, but it actually works. There is a small store in reception where you can buy various small items, including very good fresh eggs and order bread rolls for breakfast (the large selection can be found in a sample basket.....). There is no store in the village itself, or at least we couldn't find one. But there is a nice cycle path directly along the Main to Gemünden, 2 km away, where there are of course endless shopping opportunities. The price of the site is not exactly at the lowest level, we paid a daily price of €28.50, but for the largest - and therefore of course the most expensive - pitch including 2 people. It was well worth it. Each additional person would cost an extra €7.90 per day. However, the electricity was disproportionately expensive: 80 cents per KWh, plus a one-off connection fee of 2.15 €. Apparently electricity is still handmade in the Spessart..... The operator is a very friendly and nice man who takes a lot of time to answer all our questions and explains everything in detail. After visiting other campsites in the area on our cycle tours, it was clear to us that this would not be the last time we stayed here. Highly recommended!Przetłumaczone automatycznie.

You can buy the essentials on site. You can find peace... and relaxation here. Not the hustle and bustle as on the pitches directly on the banks of the Main. Lots of walks with the dog directly from the campsite. The Main is about 900m away. The reception was very friendly and we felt very welcome. Our power connection did not fit (plug too long) and we were immediately given another one. We were able to choose the pitch. With or without a water connection, sunny or... in the shade, the pitch offered the right place for every taste. The Main cycle path is directly below the site and we were able to go on extended, relaxed cycle tours. (Even without an e-bike). The small pool was always well maintained and we were able to enjoy cooling off. The sanitary facilities were always clean and are very pleasant and not cramped. We were there at short notice over Whitsun and could hardly believe that there was still such a free choice of beautiful pitches. Spacious pitches, shady or sunny as desired. Very friendly staff. Extremely clean sanitary buildings, fairly... new and tastefully furnished. Nice little swimming pool (10 x 5 m) and small playground. You can buy the essentials in the store on site. The sanitary building also has a lounge with a play area for children. There is also a small library. The chip card system didn't bother us at all. The billing was fair and simple. Each pitch has a power connection, although we had problems with the CEE plug (it was too long) and had to use an adapter with a bracket. Otherwise very quiet and well maintained.
