Dirty sanitary facilities etcUnreasonableIt is unbearable, so narrow that you can hardly get to the pitch by car. Pitches are narrow. The site is super full. Sanitary facilities are old and dirty. - Andreas P.May 2024PozytywneThere are no advantages worth mentioning at the campsite.NegatywneAll the flair at Zaton Holiday Resort was lost due to the restructuring. That's it for a long timeWe have been coming to the campsite at the beginning of June for many years now and have always been very happy with our pitch in the 1st row. The atmosphere at the campsite was very pleasant. Unfortunately, the flair of the Zaton Holiday Resort was lost due to the restructuring. Example: The 150-metre... long self-service canteen in the center. The Tinel and Gruschke (apple and pear) used to be two great restaurants on this site. The new building with the VIP area on the upper floor is equally unconvincing. Too expensive, no jacuzzi. The food ( take away ) was cold. Price - performance of the food and drinks did not fit either.
The check-in for the campers at the campsite entrance was also closed and moved to the reception for the guests of the vacation apartments. And then it got funny. To put it kindly, the waiting time of over two hours was still the most bearable.
Why does a scoop of ice cream cost more here than in Munich?
There is certainly a reason why the campsite was no longer fully booked, even during the Whitsun vacations, and even pitches in the first row were free.Przetłumaczone automatycznie. - Alfred S.September 2023PozytywneWhat is still positive from the past.NegatywneWhat was newly built (see commentary for details)Normally a great place, due to some changes well .....We've been there once or twice a year since 2011. Everything has been perfect so far. However, the place thought they should build a luxury food zone + luxury lounge area on the upper deck down by the beach. Except that the stay there is very expensive (a bed 25 euros per day and a 2-person apartment... 60 euros) and you would need a plan below in the respective food zones where to get something and according to the menu, monster prices are also charged. So I can't see anything positive about this monster hut on the beach. Instead, the best ice cream store in the club has been closed, the beach bar, which always offers good drinks, coffee or a beer in the beach area with a view of the sea, has closed, the beach restaurant in the marina area is closed and a beach bistro on the other side near the aqua park is also closed. So everything that provided a sense of well-being in the beach area is no longer there.
For example, it would have been good and necessary to completely renovate wash house 1. Everything is spotlessly clean there (the ladies who look after it work perfectly), but cracked tiles in the toilets, partially defective shower fittings (briefly warm, then cool again, then warm again ....), toilet doors with a blocked locking mechanism, etc..... are not necessarily positive. I have also heard (I can't find out if this is correct) that there has been a change in the area of the managing directors, who were then also responsible for these changes. Well, I think some decisions should be reconsidered, the long-time guests would certainly like that. I also spoke to some other guests who were of the same opinion and had already expressed this verbally at the camp reception. I will also pass this on at reception when we leave this time. We'll see if it has any effect.Przetłumaczone automatycznie. - Benjamin H.July 2023Pozytywne- Good signposting to the campsite - quick check in - Supermarket not far from the campsite - Clean sanitary facilities - Direct waste disposal at the pitch - Signposting of the pitches - shallow sandy beach for childrenNegatywne- Narrow access roads to the pitches - long distances from the pitches close to the beach to the sanitary facilities - Lack of lighting on the side paths to the sanitary facilities - unfriendly staff at the pool, beach bar and on-site supermarket - Minimal and remote dog beach - Ordering system for beach bar and pizza station on the beach not well thought out - No free sunbathing area at the pool, you are literally forced to rent a lounger - Price/performance is not rightSummer vacation July 2023We spent our summer vacation July 2023 at the campsite Zaton Holiday Resort (2 adults, 2 children).
The arrival lane is very well developed and easy to recognize. Check in was very quick with very friendly German speaking staff. The pitches can be reached via narrow access roads (known for Croatia),... with good signposting.
The size of the pitches correspond to the description. Waste disposal is ensured directly at the pitch by waste garbage cans, which are emptied twice a day. The path from the second row by the sea to the sanitary facilities is very long. In the evening, the path to the sanitary area is like a night walk due to defective or non-existent lighting. The toilets, showers and washbasins were constantly cleaned. Night's rest is not observed on the pitch.
The beach area is very accessible and wonderful for children with a shallow bathing area. The sunshades and sunbeds are subject to a charge.
In the beach bar you can buy small snacks and drinks at normal prices. The menu can only be viewed online and orders are placed with the unfriendly waiter. This ill-conceived system is also used at the pizza station, where the staff are completely overwhelmed and there is a complete mess.
The supermarket is always busy and the selection of fresh fruit is subterranean. The staff at the checkout are massively unfriendly. There are better shopping opportunities in Nin and Zadar. Fruit is sold on the street. Pool area is completely overcrowded and extremely noisy. The wellness area is not accessible for children and there are no free sunbathing areas. The grass may not be walked on. There are activities for children.
Conclusion: We know Croatia very well from previous vacations and will not visit this place again. Even in the high season, pitches in a prime location were free. The policy of the facility is going wrong, by turning the price screw.Przetłumaczone automatycznie. - Joachim D.June 2023PozytywneSandy beach that slopes gently into the sea and yet very clear waterNegatywneThe many contemporaries who let their dogs run free and don't shy away from their dogs leaving their big business on the sandy beachHuge, but still very nice resortIt was our first time at this huge campsite and we were surprised that the resort was not overcrowded.
The pitches are generously sized, but most of them are in the pine forest with plenty of shade; if you want a sunny pitch, it's better to stand on the western side of the site. Most of the pitches have... electricity, water and waste water connections.
The staff are mostly very friendly and this also applies to the site manager.
The 3 restaurants offer an extensive menu with numerous tasty dishes at a reasonable price/performance ratio. Only the "Maestral" directly on the beach is a little more expensive, but you also get a very tasty greeting from the kitchen. There is also a pizzeria next door; the pizza was quite good once, but the second time it was almost inedible.
The resort's supermarket offers quite a lot, but it's better to drive over to Nin to the Plodine market, which has everything and is a bit cheaper.
Speaking of Nin: this little town is a must-visit. The cycle paths in the region are rather sparse, so you sometimes have to take the road on excursions.
Also a must: a visit to Zadar, which has many sights and is also great for shopping.
Conclusion: we will be back!Przetłumaczone automatycznie. - Herbert S.May 2023PozytywneWater landscape, fairly large plotsNegatywnePoorly maintainedMore appearance than realityIn principle, everything is there, but if you take a closer look, there are many small and large defects. Loose tiles in the sanitary facilities, missing silicone, wobbly shower heads, flooding of entire sanitary areas at "prime time", which means that 10 showers and 5 individual cubicles are quickly... lost. There is a lot of cleaning, sometimes it looks like a pastime. Grass not cut, hedges not trimmed, path lighting not repaired despite repeated reminders, unfriendly receptionists and bakery sellers, speeding e-scooters despite a ban. Almost all pitches slope down towards the beach, you can see lots of adventurous "jacking up". Mini dog beach and completely remote. Chemical sink in Sani 1 is an imposition, you have to get down on your knees and under the sink to use the flushing hose ... And then the huge construction site on the beach with noise and ugliness ... There are better destinations nearby. For us, Zaton has been canceledPrzetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Thomas G.September 2022PozytywneSun and clean waterNegatywneEverything overpricedNever againWe are disappointed, we were on the CP in September. The pitch was very small and the supermarket had moldy fruit and vegetables. Bread and rolls were no longer available from 12 noon, otherwise hardly any choice. The bakery in the row of stores was also closed from about 12 noon On the beach and pool... you have to pay 35 kuna each for the sun lounger and parasol. The sandy beach was as hard as concrete. The toilets on the beach were dirty and broken. Cables were hanging out of the wall. The paths were not lit at night, although there were enough lanterns. It was only quiet after midnight. Dogs were walked on the pitch because the paths from the pitch are too long. Everything overpriced The best were the sanitary facilities (sanitary house 5) which were super clean. Cleaning staff were always on site.
We will not visit the site again.Przetłumaczone automatycznie. - Stefan A.August 2022PozytywneThe sandy beach is very good for a vacation with small children.NegatywneThey charge extra for almost everything you want to do. We have already paid about 120€/day. (2 adults + 3 children + dog) Equipment at the playground was defective in 2021, which can happen, but in 2022 only the frames were still there, so the nest swing was simply taken down instead of being replaced or repaired. This is just one example. Here you can rest on your laurelsEvery year, the price is increased considerably, but the supply is not even maintained.
I think they are still living off their good name at the moment, but that will change...
We will look for an alternative.Przetłumaczone automatycznie. - Stefan G.July 2022PozytywneThere is a lot of supporting program Sanitary facilities are very clean.Negatywnevery noisy at night. very large impersonal place. almost everything costs extra. Artificial beach.Factory farming with a touch of DisneylandIf you like huge campsites where you can't sleep at night in the high season, this is probably a very comfortable and clean campsite of this type. We felt like we were in a big pig processing plant - a mix of lousy Disneyland and tourist nonsense. 2 nights with children in the front row 270 euros. If you then have to pay for every sun lounger and umbrella at the pool, it's almost outrageous.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Christian D.September 2021PozytywneLots on offer for all ages (1-18 years), can also be louder at times. Mountains 1 hour away. Always something going on.NegatywneExpensive, no beautiful natureExpensive, but something for everyoneIt's expensive, the beach is average, the food is average, the entertainment is average, the distances are long. But there is something for all ages: children between 0 and 15 are happy in the pool, teenagers can have a drink in the evening without getting stressed, you can go horse riding, do a fitness... trail, you only have an hour to hike in the mountains, and you will definitely meet Germans. Of course, this has nothing to do with Croatian culture, but that's not the point.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Fritz K.August 2021PozytywneStaff is friendly and they make an effortNegatywneThe pitches were far too small, sometimes everything was crammed together chaotically. Sanitary area good at first glance, but pretty battered at second glance. Overpriced prices in the local market. Far too big, everything too cramped and quite noisy.Friendly staff, otherwise completely overpriced sardine canAfter several stays in Croatia, I am quite disappointed with this campsite.
The sanitary facilities look okay at first glance, but on closer inspection they are quite battered.
The staff, both reception and cleaning/disposal, are friendly and make an effort.
The pitches, on the other hand, are horrible.... The pitches are quite small and everything is very cramped. You quickly have problems with large vehicles. This is also known from other campsites, which have to bring in a lot of money in the high season, but here it has been exaggerated.
The local markets offer a reasonable range of products, but the prices are completely exorbitant. It is advisable to use the supermarkets outside (e.g. in Nin)
The clientele is mainly German, otherwise from NL and PL. There is no typical guest, but my impression was that this is more of an experience and beach-oriented guest who has no desire to leave their resort. This means that anyone looking for peace and quiet is in the wrong place. It tends to be louder here.
The beach itself is clean and okay. However, it is very unnatural and covered in concrete. However, unlike other beaches, there is a large sandy beach here that goes deep into the sea. However, the water is rather murky and sometimes dirty.
There is a large pool area, but it is completely overcrowded. Also unsuitable for families (you can't take baby carriages in). But with annoying entertainment.
In short: there are far better and more sophisticated places in Croatia at the same price level, but which are more inviting and have more to offer. Therefore: If you are not demanding, the campsite is okay, otherwise it is not recommendable.Przetłumaczone automatycznie. - Gábor G.July 2021PozytywneVery good location, good sandy beach and good servicesNegatywneThere is no specific dog section. We have one on our dog, we've taken him a few times, but we've given up on him. What we have seen regularly, they take dogs everywhere, at dusk many dog walkers when the dog starts to defecate (not urinate) look around to see if they can see it, if they think they can't they just leave it there. In the grassy area in the evening I didn't see any owner picking up... The next day the children were playing there. In front of the neighbour's caravan in the morning, there was also a pile, even though they didn't have a dog...gesztorhaz@gesztorhaz.huThird time we have been here, the place is very good, but after the dog incidents we don't want to camp here in other dirt anymore. The place is highly recommended for dog lovers.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.

- Bernhard G.September 2019PozytywneGreat team in the entertainment department and a large facility with lots on offerNegatywneall offers to be paid extra, partly unfriendly staff, photos on the homepage make the facility look better, hidden costsOverpriced facility with partly unfriendly staffThe facility is presented better on the homepage than it actually is! The modern sanitary facilities are quite high up and you have to walk quite a distance if you have booked in the first rows. There is a booking fee of € 40 per pitch which is retained as such on departure. There is no credit on the... final bill, on the contrary, a registration fee is charged per person. Every activity (aqua park, gym, sun loungers, etc.) costs extra. In the market, bakery etc. you are also ripped off, everything here is overpriced and the prices shown do not match the prices at the till and if you mention it, it is shrugged off. The balsamic vinegar, for example, was marked on the shelf at 39.90 kuna, but the price charged was 43.90. You can buy washing coins at reception for 60 kuna per wash, but if you don't use all the coins you have bought, you are stuck with them, as they will not be taken back. The Pummel train to Nin (30 minutes on foot) costs 30 kuna per person (including children aged 6 and over) one way. The return journey costs extra. If there are problems and you turn to the campsite reception staff, the next disappointment awaits, because the staff there are extremely unfriendly! The beach is nice if you want a sandy beach. To be able to swim, you have to wade through the sea for a while, which is reminiscent of Italy. On a positive note, however, the entertainment team are all hard-working, friendly and do a great job! We won't visit this campsite again and can't recommend it to anyone else, because what was supposed to be an economically planned vacation turned into a very cost-intensive vacation!Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
- glimmer t.August 2019PozytywneWonderful location. With or without a sea view, depending on the pitch. You get everything you need on site.NegatywnenoneBeautiful coastline, great locationWe were here for the first time in July/August in the main season and were pleasantly surprised that, despite the large number of campers, it was very pleasantly separate and quiet on the pitch. The layout of the pitches is really great with plenty of electricity and water nearby. It is also possible... to buy bread rolls at various stations and in some supermarkets. The pools were of course very full, which led to even more crowding and collisions from some inconsiderate people playing water polo. Overall, however, it can be said that although the campsite was very much designed for Dutch people and felt like it was 80% full, it was visited by international guests. In the evening on the soccer pitch it was difficult for the children to play as there was no control or only the Dutch children played with each other (there was only one pitch available) I think the place is very suitable for a sun and beach vacation and the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities was absolutely good, as some people seem to lack their own cleanlinessPrzetłumaczone automatycznie.
- Michael N.August 2019PozytywneUNFORTUNATELY NONENegatywneTOO LARGE TOO LOUD TOO FULL NO SERVICE RIP-OFF TO THE POWER OF FIVELOUD / FULL / TOO BIG / RIP-OFFWe had originally booked a caravan pitch at the campsite for 3 weeks, but left in despair after just under 2 weeks. SERVICE Does not exist. In 2 weeks we didn't see a single friendly face or even a smile from an employee. PRICES Rip-off is the right word for this. In Ostmanier they try to get as much... money as possible for no work / service in return. A family with 2 children is charged 92 euros a day here (compared to 55 to 70 in the rest of Europe) and pretty much all activities cost extra: - Children's bouncy castle in the water 8 euros / hour !!!! - Washing machine ( 4kg ) 8 Euro !!!! - Jetski 36 Euro for 10 minutes ( in Italy you get 20 minutes ). What's more, it's not 10 minutes, but the engine switches off after just 7 minutes. EATING There are several different restaurants on the site. The quality is ok and the portions are also ok. However, at least 12 euros per meal is too expensive. WLAN is available (but again not). The speed is at the level of earlier dial-up modems. BEACH The water is very clean and clear as usual in Croatia. However, the sandy beach does not deserve its name. It is man-made and as hard as concrete. Heavy ground anchors have to be hammered in for umbrellas. Sanding for the children ... unfortunately not possible. Of course, the beach is totally overcrowded. SANITARY FACILITIES Far below the required capacity. Toilets and showers only with long waiting times. Defective showers (door lock / water lever / shower head) are not repaired. It doesn't help if I can look at a waterfall in the tropical garden while showering in the new wash houses. I would rate the cleanliness as average. PLACE IN GENERAL Far too full, far too big, far too loud. Nobody is bothered by the quiet time from midnight to 7am. Cars, mopeds and quad bikes thunder across the pitch all the time. There are campers who drive every single member of the family to the beach and back home again in a petrol car. People who drive their chemical toilet to the wash house 100m away. Employees who drive across the site at 50 km/h (10 km/h are allowed) (watch your children). There is a security guard (only during the day) who likes to stand in the shade and watch the girls. They don't care about compliance with the rules of the course. Especially not at night. DOGS The whole place stinks of ( yellow and brown ) from the countless dogs. Because the lovely owners don't do a damn thing to clean up the mess left by their companions. UMLAND Nin is quite nice to look at (there are also a few very nice restaurants here that are far better in quality and service than in the resort). Zadar the small part of the old town is ok. The rest is just shabby. You can store in Zadar in huge malls (DM / H+M and all other well-known chains) but there are no nice little stores with local goods. Only tourinepp stalls with much too expensive Chinese goods. CONCLUSION In no way are the conditions for an acceptable price-performance ratio achieved here. If you are absolutely painless towards dirt and noise ... please do. If you like to throw your money out the window ... here you go. For us the first and last vacation in Croatia. We are going back to the real (and much cheaper) 5 star places in Italy.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.

Hygiene in the toilets by the pool not ok. Were not cleaned all day. The pools were not cleaned once within 9 days. In addition, the loungers by the pool and by the sea have to be paid extra. Should be included at these prices. Accommodation... far too expensive for the facilities. Much too loud here you can not recommend a vacation as a couple. Only screaming children. - Michael L.August 2019PozytywneBeautiful sandy beach, large pool area (included), many restaurants and stores, large squaresNegatywneExpensive, full, sanitary facilities undersized, loudLoud, crowded and expensiveAfter 30 years, I wanted to return to this campsite, partly because friends had raved about it, but they were staying in mobile homes. This is the first problem with this once beautiful campsite. Unfortunately, it follows the general trend towards mobile homes and over-entertainment. At least the campers... here would still be given the nicer part of the site and you wouldn't be at the end. The site itself is huge and the pitches are spacious. Unfortunately, the urge to party is also strong here and therefore very loud. The sanitary facilities are undersized for the size of the site and there are regular queues (shower/toilet). Dogs are allowed, but nowhere can they go into the water or for a walk, only on a small dog beach at the end of the site. Luckily we left ours at home, he would have gone crazy with the crowds of people! The evening entertainment is very loud and can still be heard at the other end of the campsite. The children's entertainment and mini disco is the worst in recent years. The pool area is large and very full, but at least it's free. Otherwise everything here costs extra; sunbeds and umbrellas. (Sand) beach is nice. Overall, we did not feel comfortable here, but earlier departure is not possible, as the entire period is charged when booking. Reservation fee is not charged and in our opinion the place is very expensive and not worth the money! Too bad!Przetłumaczone automatycznie.
