"Beautiful nature camping - Very nice nature camping without frills. Very quiet location. 10 minutes walk to the waterfall. 20 minutes by bike to the small town of chiavenna. Older but clean sanitary facilities. Great value for money.

"Very pleasant place - Well organized campsite. In the middle is the building with sanitary facilities, covered 1st floor terrace for eating/drinking/relaxing, reception, vending machines, reading room/mobile phone charging room and even a free fridge for guests. This makes it easy for everyone to get there and the campsite operator family has a good overview of everything. Ideal for children, as there is a lovely meadow right next to it where they can play, which is part of the campsite along with the beautiful old abandoned church tower. Adjacent to this is the fitness trail, where you can go with the children or they can play on their own. Of course there is also a tennis table on the campsite. There is a pizzeria and traditional restaurants within walking distance for eating out. You can also get good cheese directly from the farm, as well as bakery and sausage products / mini supermarket in the village... There are even washbasins for your feet in the sanitary facilities - very practical after hiking. You can also eat and drink, e.g. a cold beer, next to the waterfall - a daytime tourist magnet for Italians. There are lots of maps/info for activities at reception and the friendly family who run the campsite are happy to help in Italian or English. The Italian permanent campers are also friendly - quiet pensioners, so no loud talking/noise. In addition to a few Germans, there are always a few Swiss people at the campsite, so the children and adults can always find someone to talk to or talk to and, if necessary, help with communication if their knowledge of Italian or English is too limited.

"Fall asleep to the sound of the waterfalls - The campsite is just a few minutes' walk from the waterfalls. These provide a nice way to cool off, especially in the warm summer months. The area is beautiful. Unfortunately, we only spent one night at the campsite with our VW bus, we would have liked to stay longer. The pitches are a pleasant size, everything is very green and there was no lack of shade thanks to the trees. The staff were very friendly and the sanitary facilities were absolutely fine. We were completely satisfied and would love to come back.

"in summer - When we were there, there were a lot of families with small children and so it was always howling somewhere.... But in the evening it was very quiet. The toilet facilities were just fine, ok for Italy.

"Friendly and helpful owners, amazing swimming under the waterfall - Small, clean, well-equipped and quiet campsite with beautiful surroundings. A walk, or rather a climb of 600 vertical meters, by a waterfall in hot weather with swimming in the pools is an experience.

"Very friendly! Lovely and small place. - Nearly perfect: Very friendly people there. You can make a lot of mountain sports. Place is nice and clean. Only one thing, I did not like: Looking for enviroment could be better: No solar heated water, toilettes need too much water. If you sleep inside the tent, you sometimes hear the street nearby.

The Acquafraggia Campsite is located in a mountain area at 500m by the beautiful Acquafraggia waterfalls and is just 3 km from the historic town of Chiavenna. The campsite, which nestles in woods alongside a river, can accommodate up to …240 persons and offers modern and efficient services. With a mild climate and a favourable position the campsite is a useful base for many outdoor sports activities. It is also ideal for visiting Valchiavenna, with its famous valleys and mountains of the central Alps and its beautiful lakes
