- Sandra H.August 2024PositivosThe campsite is in a really unique location on an island. The lagoon is really beautiful and invites you to relax. There is a special beach for dogs, which is slightly separated from the private beach. However, with a lagoon, everyone must be aware that there is no clear sea water here ;-) All pitches are shady and therefore also suitable in midsummer. A recommendation for all those who love nature.NegativosThe sanitary facilities are unfortunately a bit run-down and not really clean. We came across cobwebs from the ceiling in the toilet and shower. They don't seem to wipe and clean often.2 adults + 1 dogSuitable for anyone who enjoys being in the great outdoors and doesn't fancy a luxury camping vacation.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Pedro P.September 2022PositivosThe location directly on the lagoon is truly unique. The sunrises and sunsets are second to none. If you're looking for nature, you'll find it here too.NegativosSanitary facilities in very poor condition. Three weeks before the end of the season, noisy clean-up work begins on the entire site.Fantastic location, but ...We had already been to the site three years ago with our motorhome and were aware of the morbid state of the infrastructure on the site. Over the past three years, everything has got a little worse. However, the natural surroundings and the close proximity to the lagoon make up for a lot.
Everything... would have been fine if the staff hadn't started clearing up for the winter three weeks before the end of the season. The pool was dismantled, the kiosk was closed, there were no more bread rolls available in the morning and only 4 of the toilets (out of around 20 available) were still open. On Sunday lunchtime, a wild-eyed worker drove over the entire site with a ride-on mower and cut the grass. In the end, the impression was created as if they wanted to scare the campers off the site, which many visitors did.
Dear operator team, that's not how it works. The accommodation costs are really no bargain, at least a minimum of service must be offered. You obviously haven't understood that. But maybe you will.
The consequence for us: this was our last stay on what was actually a paradise island.Traduzido automaticamente.Respondido de Campeggio Isola del Paradiso July 3, 2024Thank you for your feedback. We took over the management in 2020 to revitalize the site while maintaining its 70's camping charm. We communicated the limited services for the off-season and offered discounts where possible. Being early October, fewer guests lead to the closure of secondary services,... as is common in many campgrounds. Regarding the lawn mower operator, we certainly have no intention of scaring our guests, who are essential to our livelihood.
We appreciate your understanding and hope to welcome you again.
Best regards,
Camping Isola del Paradiso - Isa S.July 2022PositivosNone.Negativos1. loud. 2. mosquitoes 3. chaos at the pitch. 4. disgusting beach.Disturbing lighting, mosquitoes, loud construction workUnfortunately, we found a campsite, but there were only bright lights and lots of biting midges. The operators played loud music every night and hammered somewhere during the day.
The children couldn't sleep. Neither could they swim, as the beach was made of soggy mud. The large motorhomes also obstructed... every meadow. We didn't know how we were supposed to camp there. We left early disappointed. The owners don't care where everyone pitches, the main thing is that the money is right? We will never come back.Traduzido automaticamente.Respondido de Campeggio Isola del Paradiso July 3, 2024Thank you for sharing your point of view. Our camping site is located in a natural lagoon, which naturally includes some mud and mosquitoes. We strive to provide freedom in pitch selection, allowing guests to choose their spot, which many appreciate over pre-assigned spaces. Our large pitches are designed... to offer more comfort, even though it means fewer spots available.
We suggest visiting during the low season for a quieter experience. We hope you might reconsider and give us another chance.
Greetings from Grado! - Günter K.April 2022PositivosFriendliness Peace and nature Excellent location between Aquileia and GradoNegativosSanitary facilities dirty, outdated and partly broken Neglected permanent camper ghettosCP in a picturesque location with peace and lots of natureVery friendly German-speaking operators who took over the campsite in 2022. Peace and lots of nature. Excellent location between Aquileia and Grado, which are easily accessible by bike (beautiful cycle paths).
One can only wish the new operators that they remedy the major shortcomings as quickly as... possible: sanitary facilities dirty, outdated and partly broken; neglected permanent camper ghettos that are more reminiscent of slums than campsites.
I wish the new operators all the best and, above all, every success.Traduzido automaticamente.Respondido de Campeggio Isola del Paradiso July 3, 2024Thank you for your kind words and feedback. Since taking over in 2022, we've focused on renaturalizing the island, removing permanent squatter structures, and creating an open space for short-term camping. While we haven't added new structures due to environmental protection laws, we've embraced the... old-school style, ensuring everything is clean and well-maintained.
We appreciate your support and hope to continue improving for our guests.
We invite you to come back to see all the changes!
Best regards! - Daniela S.July 2020PositivosShort distances everywhere, clean sanitary facilities, fair prices, few children, lots of dogs! Mostly Italians, totally nice atmosphere and really wonderful: Nothing going on! If you like retro, this is a trip back to the 50s!NegativosNo disadvantages - for me! Everything that's not here keeps out the guests that I don't need either. Simply wonderful!Oasis of comfortEspecially fine campsite for people with dogs
Dogs - walking island is fine
Need for peace and quiet - hardly any screaming kids
Looking for relaxation - there's really nothing going on
and the desire for real relaxation.
Manager super friendly, his wife runs the bar from 8-13 and 16-19 and the mini... store where you can find everything you need. Small quantities, no selection, but simply everything you could need. Evening walk 10 minutes to da Piero = very nice pizzeria & restaurant. There are dozens of other places to eat within a few kilometers by bike and car.
Pool small but clean and fine at low tide. Swimming at high tide in the lagoon without waves and very warm water.Traduzido automaticamente.Respondido de Campeggio Isola del Paradiso July 3, 2024Thank you Daniela for the great feedback.

- Ruslans R.July 2017PositivosNothing at allNegativosSwamp, not sea shoreMosquito paradisoIsland is in the middle of a swamp so: moisture, hot, insects, mosquitos, no swimming places in swampTraduzido automaticamente.Respondido de Campeggio Isola del Paradiso July 3, 2024That's exactly what a Lagoon is defined by. Perfect for kids and dogs. With its ductile mud for great beach constructions and many crabs and fish to play with. Once the high tide comes every day, even the adults are able to swim and refreshen themselves. There is always the pool as the main alternative.... Another great advantage for who looks for peace, is being isolated in the middle of the lagoon while still having some services around.
Tip for mosquitoes: we are the guests of their habitat. Skin spray or smoke spirals are the best strategy against them. You will both find them at our minimarket.
Best regards! - Patrick J.July 2017PositivosVery quiet and uncomplicated. Spontaneously got a parking space by phone on the same day. Dogs are welcome. Good pizzeria in 5 minutes walk.NegativosSanitary facilities a bit outdated.Quiet and inexpensiveA nice, quiet, spacious and uncomplicated campsite at a fair price. - mark r.August 2016PositivosQuiet and uncrowded beach, non-swimmer-friendly water depth, plenty of shade thanks to the large trees, free choice of pitchesNegativosWater quality could be improved with appropriate filters, nocturnal motorcyclists, sometimes only Italian-speaking staff at receptionWe liked it very much!We only wanted to stay 7 days and had extended to 10. The island is really quiet and relaxed. The small store offers the essentials, but a Lidl is only 11km away. There is hardly anything going on at the beach, perfect for an afternoon nap. The sanitary facilities are getting on in years, but were always... spotlessly clean! We bought water in the supermarket for brushing our teeth and cooking, the tap water smelled a bit. Sometimes extremely loud motorcycles on the road to Grado, especially at night. The police should take appropriate measures here! For me personally, the advantages outweighed the disadvantages, maybe we'll come again.Traduzido automaticamente.Respondido de Campeggio Isola del Paradiso July 3, 2024There is a new management on the campsite. - Jeffrey J.July 2016PositivosNature, space and peace. No stressNegativosNo action, so not for teenagersParadiseWe have been going to the isola in summer for years and enjoy the peace and quiet and the feeling of being undisturbed. Everything we need is on site, shower, toilet and a small bar/market with reasonable prices. The place is ideal for families with small children as it is manageable and everyone knows... each other, even if you are only there for a short time. The view is what makes this island special, nature all around and you sit in front of the caravan and look out over the water without a dyke, fence or anything else. I have never had to lock my caravan there and I have never lost anything. The access is guarded and as it is an island I always feel very safe.Traduzido automaticamente.Respondido de Campeggio Isola del Paradiso July 3, 2024There is a new management on the campsite. - Otto F.September 2014PositivosPure tranquillity, wonderful view of the lagoonNegativosSomewhat outdated, hardly any leisure facilitiesPure tranquillityWe found a pitch right on the western shore of the island with a wonderful view over the lagoon. Where can you find something like that? The site is extremely quiet. It is dominated by permanent campers who seem to have been camping there for years. During our stay, however, there was hardly anyone around,... so you were immediately happy when you bumped into someone. The sanitary facilities are old, but they work. We always had hot water. They are a bit dark during the day, the lights are only switched on in the evening. You can get the most necessary groceries at the "market", bread rolls are also available to order in the morning, and coffee in the "bar". When boating, it is important to pay attention to the tides. While you can go almost anywhere at high tide, at low tide this is only possible in a narrow channel. Even a slight deviation and you are aground. Caution: Don't get out, razor-sharp mussels! Even circumnavigating the island is not possible at low tide. The fairway is not visible to the naked eye, as even the shallows are covered with a few centimetres of water. However, it is more or less provisionally marked by stakes. The island is also used as a starting point for professional sea kayaking schools for trips in the lagoon. There is free (!) WiFi around the reception. You can check the tides on the Internet under "Grado" at "www.tides4fishing.com" and also download maps from openstreetmap or openseamap. The fairways are marked on these maps. There is also a playground and a small beach near the reception, so you can use WiFi on the beach or while watching the children. :-) There is a swimming pool which is clean but cold, but unfortunately too shallow for swimming. At high tide you can supposedly also swim on the beach in the lagoon. The sanitary facilities are well maintained, the small beach on the east side is cleaned daily and the grass is mowed. The staff are friendly. They also speak English at reception. Nothing is done about the mosquitoes, so don't forget your mosquito repellent! There is a pizzeria "da Piero" about 200 m east of the campsite, where you can eat well at normal prices. There are also numerous boat moorings there. The pizzeria is located at the end of a 5 km long, dead-straight fairway along the road embankment to Grado. You can cycle to Aquileia or Grado, both about 5 km away, via very well-developed cycle paths. Aquileia is a World Heritage Site due to its numerous Roman monuments and is definitely worth a visit. In Grado, it is almost impossible to find a parking space, so you have an advantage here by bike. There are shops in both towns. In Aquileia there is a DIY store in Via Curiel. After 7 days, we had had enough of the peace and quiet and moved on.Traduzido automaticamente.Respondido de Campeggio Isola del Paradiso July 3, 2024There is a new management on the campsite. - Anton L.June 2014PositivosQuiet, lagoon experience, quite nature-oriented, cleanNegativosHardly any food supply, permanent campers, no good swimming opportunities.Island of peaceWe chose this campsite this year for a boat trip to the Grado lagoon. In itself a beautiful, simple site with lots of peace and quiet and an experience in the middle of the lagoon. The facilities are very basic, with rudimentary services. But Grado is not far away... ideal for boating with flat-bottomed... boats. The relatively large number of permanent campers, some of whom act almost like allotment garden owners, are a little annoying. Otherwise perfect. There is a small swimming pool for swimming, the lagoon is not suitable for swimming. The site is unsuitable for children and teenagers, there is no good playground and no entertainment.Traduzido automaticamente.Respondido de Campeggio Isola del Paradiso July 3, 2024There is a new management on the campsite. - Hans W.April 2013Very friendly service at the site, free choice of pitches led us to the west side directly to the small harbor. We enjoyed very quiet and relaxing days and nights with the best sunset. The perfect place to relax! The north-facing sanitary facilities are currently being renovated. Nice permanent campers... are also there. And once you have explored the well-marked fairway, you can take a small to medium-sized boat either directly towards the dolphin road to Aquileia or to Grado. Insider tip: Aqua Alta also takes you directly to Lignano. 30 minutes should be enough! We were very satisfied!Traduzido automaticamente.Respondido de Campeggio Isola del Paradiso July 3, 2024There is a new management on the campsite. - Jörg W.September 2012As the name suggests, the campsite is located on an island in the Laguna di Grado. Due to the high tidal range (approx. 1m), swimming in the sea is only possible until midday, after which it becomes a mud fight due to the low water level. There is a small pool at the campsite. The site is unbeatable... in terms of tranquillity, it was definitely the quietest nights we have ever spent on a campsite. The staff are super friendly and speak English as well as Italian. The shopping facilities on site are adequate, but nothing more. The prices in the store are very reasonable for a campsite store. The sanitary facilities are well cleaned and hot showers are free. Unfortunately the beach of Grado is about 6km away. We were there with bicycles, so that's not a problem. There can be parking problems in Grado with a car. The price was absolutely unbeatable: in September we paid €16 per night for 2 people, including electricity. Our pitch was the size of a small soccer pitch, we could have put 4 large tents and 2 cars on it and there would still have been room to dance. To summarize: Great value for money, location not so much. You should bring bicycles if you want to spend the whole day by and in the sea.Traduzido automaticamente.Respondido de Campeggio Isola del Paradiso July 3, 2024There is a new management on the campsite. - Familie P.August 2012We 50,50 with 16 year olds have been spending 7 weeks every summer on a seasonal pitch since 2009 and will be happy to keep it that way for the next few years. Our pitch is very large and quiet at night except for Sat-Sun evening events (-23 o'clock), for people who don't need a Ramba-Zamba golf course... and disco droning with a lagoon beach with sand only on the beach in the water blue healing mud, but real national park nature. Very good with small boats or, like us, with old surfboards as kayaks from one small island to another. A sporty 5 km through the lagoon and you are on the offshore sandbanks in the sea. Lagoon view of the old Marian shrine of Barbana Italian campsite fair on Sundays. Mainly regular visitors and many large Italian families but no allotment garden culture. You feel like you're in the 50s. The operators are very nice and courteous, but make sure that the rules are observed and dogs and other animals are allowed. The campsite is situated on the new, well-developed cycle path from Palmanova Aquilea Grado to Monfalcone (approx. 80 km).Traduzido automaticamente.Respondido de Campeggio Isola del Paradiso July 3, 2024There is a new management on the campsite.
