- Holger K.August 2018PositivosQuiet place, lots of shade, good pool, great location to Les Eysies, no flood of entertainment, but still nice events on the squareNegativosSanitary is new, but not so well thought outBeautiful place in the heart of the Perigord. Great base for excursionsWe were there for 5 nights in mid-August (it makes perfect sense to book in advance). The place was well and internationally visited, it was correspondingly full at prime time at the pool, which was clean and well maintained. Small restaurant/bar with a small "store" where you can get chilled wine and... cold beer as well as croissants and baguettes in the morning. The proximity to Les Eysies was great, which can be easily reached on foot or by bike (riverside paths on both sides of the Vezere). In the village we can recommend the restaurant "Chateaubriand" and if you have the opportunity to visit the "community festival" you should do so. Check the notices on the camping site. There are many nice things advertised there (visit to the clowns or the foie gras truck...) The pitches are not huge, but sufficient for the three of us with a camper van. We went on lots of excursions. We can recommend the canoe trip and the rental shop is practically on the doorstep. A visit to Laxcaux IV is a must. Even or especially with children, it's amazing and can be easily reached by car in about 25 minutes. The sanitary facilities have been redone, but in our opinion not thought through to the end. The shower provides (very) hot water, which cannot be set colder (except in the family shower), which is not very refreshing, especially in midsummer. Another negative thing we noticed was that the chemical toilets were located right next to the showers and sinks. This does not make for a pleasant smell and could be solved better.Traduzido automaticamente.

- Gregor B.May 2014Les Eyzies: La RivièreVery nice, well-run campsite with swimming pool, café-restaurant, store, bread service in the morning. Very nice pitches, mostly under trees. Ideal for relaxing and feeling at home. At a moderate price: EUR 10.00 for one person with tent and bicycle.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Dora T.August 2013Very nice campsite, in a quiet location, close to the village and the river. Pitches level, bordered by half-height hedges, sufficiently large. Staff polite, friendly and helpful. Pool large enough for swimming or refreshing. The train connection makes excursions, e.g. to Perigueux, easy and simple,... price for 2 adults, 2 children, 1 dog approx. 45€. We really liked it there, the only drawback: the sanit. The sanitary facilities were as good as new, but only superficially cleaned, and the drainage system gave off a bad urine smell towards the end of the week, which we didn't like very much. Nevertheless, we would visit the site again.Traduzido automaticamente.
- S. S.May 2012Very attractive campsite. Located right opposite the center of Les Eyzies. At night the rocks of Les Eyzies are illuminated, a great panorama from the campsite! The sanitary facilities are new, very clean and powered by solar panels on the roof. You can take very hot and long showers without paying extra.... The pitches themselves are separated by small hedges. The sanitary facilities are also hidden from the pitches by high cherry laurel hedges. There is a very nice pool, which is illuminated at night. A small store offers shopping opportunities and regional specialties. WLan is free in the foyer. You can wash your clothes in the Miele washing machine and there are also tumble dryers. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated and offers a wide variety of Dordogne cuisine. The family who run the campsite are very nice and friendly. You can hire canoes directly at the campsite and go canoeing on the Vézère. The highlight: the main building of the campsite is historic, it is certainly a listed building, a dream. The garden in front of it is very well maintained. All in all: highly recommended! We even received a Christmas card for Christmas!Traduzido automaticamente.
