- jean b.August 2014Positivoswelcome, entertainment and the regionNegativosvacations too shortEXCELLENT !!!!"Top services!!! The mobile home was very well located, the campsite is really very pleasant. There are many activities during the day and evening for children and adults. Everything is done to spend an excellent vacation. I really recommend Camping Charlemagne, not only because it's a beautiful place,... but also because we were given a real welcome, which isn't always the case. A restaurant worthy of the name, with incredible value for money. Pleasant people, always available and ready to listen! Bravo and thank you to the whole team! As for the mobile home, it's clean, recent and very well equipped. In short, we'll be back!Traduzido automaticamente.
- antoine p.August 2013This campsite is located in a quiet, shady wooded area, which is appreciated in hot weather and gives the site a certain charm, but only a few minutes from the beach by car. The welcome was perfect. The staff are always smiling, friendly and available. Everything is super clean (sanitary facilities,... swimming pool) at all hours of the day. The food is excellent. There's a children's play area and the entertainment seemed to be a success, even though we hadn't come for that. A large TV room. The bungalow was spotless (clean and suitably equipped). With a terrace that we really appreciated. All in all, we had an excellent stay at this campsite, and Grimaud is a superb seaside resort.Traduzido automaticamente.
- christophe d.August 2013Washrooms: a large window in the washroom has been broken for three years and has still not been replaced. It is held together by pieces of tape. Just touch it with your finger and it threatens to fall out. Showers: only 3 showers have lights; the others are lit by natural light. Only three toilets are... lit at night, but there is no light after midnight. The person in charge of cleaning the toilets uses a tile cleaner and cleans the bowl with the brush used to clean the toilet base. The three urinals: no disinfectant or deodorant tablets, and no lights. Activities: The swimming pool is unsupervised and access is via a locking door, which was out of order for two weeks before being repaired. The stairs leading to the pool are not secured by a ramp. No disinfectant is used in the foot bath, but the water is renewed by a permanently open tap (this may cost less than disinfectants, but it avoids having to renew the treatment during the day, and it's certainly more ecological to use so much water unnecessarily). This tap is on the floor and unprotected (beware of children's feet). Several tiles in the paddling pool are broken, and some in the pool are thawed. The floor near the paddling pool is repaired by a piece of putty sticking out of the floor. Some of the deckchairs are really broken, but have been preserved. The boules pitch: there's a large wasp's nest in the low wall; the managers have emptied a whole can, but it's still there and will remain so for the three weeks of our stay. The only response was: "We emptied a bomb, but it's not enough". The swing/slide: this play area poses a serious risk to life and limb, and certainly doesn't comply with regulations: the floor is made entirely of sand and pebbles; the safety railings are wobbly, revealing nails. No lights at night. The ping pong tables: the floor is broken, which is conducive to sprains; the low wall used as a bench has many broken and sharp slabs. Entertainment: There aren't even any more ribbons for the mini-miss. During theme evenings, the two entertainers serve in the restaurant (?! ) instead of taking part and enlivening the evening. The crisis has certainly taken its toll .... Catering: Luncheon vouchers are mentioned on the website, but have never been accepted! If you sit on a table on the terrace, you risk dying of thirst. You have to order at the bar and take your drinks with you. As for napkins and ashtrays, if you don't have any on your table, they point to where you can help yourself. We celebrated a birthday and ordered a bottle of champagne: there's none! ( a shame, for a 4-star campsite that's supposed to be upmarket .... ). We wished to order portions of French fries at 8.30pm. We were invited to come back in ½ hour. At 9:00 p.m., a new proposal to postpone until 9:30 p.m.: "And if you don't like it, you can have dinner without fries! Eco-sustainable camping? The lights are almost non-existent in the upper aisles; the outside parking lot is not lit. However, some bollards are lit all day long. I reported a major outdoor water leak on a mobile home to the owner; the leak was still there when we left, a week later .... The communal water points had not been cleaned before the start of the season and had significant mold; the one nearby had a large leak, which was not repaired during our three-week stay. The managers: They are totally absent from the welcome aperitifs and don't participate in the "life" of the campsite. When you pass the manager, he says "hello" and immediately looks down at his shoes. They block off half the restaurant's upper terrace to dine alone and enjoy the shows, while their troops (their son, an employee and the two entertainers) struggle to provide service. No helping hand, no representation to ensure that their customers do or don't enjoy the show and the food. You may doubt the veracity of this testimony, which is why I produced a photo and video report on my last day, to illustrate the subject if need be. I'm thinking of approaching the organization that awards the stars, as the service is far from 4-star top-of-the-range.Traduzido automaticamente.
- jacques r.July 2013Mom of 3 children (10, 8 and 6), we're going back to this campsite once again. We've been coming here for 15 days in a row, and we've never had any problems with the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities or the mobile homes when we arrived, the entertainment is there, and our children much prefer to... go to the swimming pool than to go to the seaside, which is 5 kms away So, a friendly team, who know the spirit of the campsite well, in short, we'll be going back in August.Traduzido automaticamente.
