- Lars P.June 2024PositivosUncomplicated handling and relaxed site management, within walking distance of the old town of Chalon s S., good accessibility from the highway, very flat pitches, good starting point for bike tours along the SaôneNegativosNot all pitches are parceled out, only a few water taps, sometimes long distances (to reception, waste station, cassette emptying), adjacent to country roadRelaxed camping on the Saône, BourgogneWe stayed at the campsite for 2 nights on our way to Provence and went here deliberately to visit the beautiful old town of Chalon s.S., where the basilica in the town center is worth a visit and is easily accessible from the campsite by bike or on foot.
The site is located directly on the river, with... a very narrow access road. An adjacent country road is very busy in the morning and early evening. The cycle path along the Saône runs between the site and the river. A large shopping center is only 3 km away, on the same side of the river.
The site management is friendly and multilingual. There is a bistro with baguette service on reservation. The pitches are mainly on level grass, some under tall trees, with free choice of pitches at the rear. There are plenty of power points (CE coupling), but unfortunately there are only a few fresh water points. There are two sanitary blocks, while the rear one is very simply equipped. Soap and paper are available. The sanitary facilities are in good working order and cleanliness is at least what you would expect. For campers there is a covered pavilion with benches and tables at the back of the site.
Sometimes you have to walk long distances to empty the cassette (only at the front wash house) and to dispose of garbage.
During the season, the campsite can get crowded in the evening due to many transit guests. Early arrivals do not always position their caravan in the best possible way, so that late arrivals have difficulty finding a suitable space.
The camping meadow is difficult to drive on when it rains and the ground is soggy. However, all paths are asphalted.
We stayed at Pont du Bourgogne to explore Chalon s.S. by bike. We can recommend the campsite for a short stay.Traduzido automaticamente. - Andreas H.June 2023PositivosClose to the city, within walking distance.NegativosOpposite in the harbor is an event hall. Continuous sound over the river since the afternoon. Extreme bass with DJ roaring so loud that the caravan shook. The whole thing went on until 2am. You could have stood in the disco, there would have been no difference. We regretted it and should not have taken a night off, because as a driver I was completely exhausted after that night. One night and not againVery friendly reception. Bakery service. Close to town. Unfortunately very noisy as already described under negative and the sanitary facilities could use a slight renovation. But very clean.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Astrid T.September 2020PositivosVery friendly staff, the best French sanitary facilities. Nice bar. Free choice of seats.NegativosLittle charm.Directly on the SaoneWe stayed one night with bike and tent. For details see under pros and consTraduzido automaticamente.
- Torben H.June 2020PositivosThe location, the beautiful pitches, friendly staff, clean spacious sanitary facilitiesNegativosNothing was super!Gladly again!A very nice campsite with very friendly operators. Unfortunately the restaurant was still closed due to Corona, but you can get to the town quickly on foot. The pitches are very nice and large and we had a free choice. Accsi Card was also taken. We will be back!Traduzido automaticamente.

- Peter S.June 2019PositivosClose to the old townNegativosSomewhat tricky, narrow approachBeautiful transit area close to the cityNice transit site on the Saonne, tidy and clean sanitary facilities, within walking distance of the old town of Chalon, can sometimes be a bit noisy at the weekend,Traduzido automaticamente.
- Heinz L.September 2018PositivosClose to the city; quiet, nearby golf course;NegativosNo internet on the pitchGood place, would choose it againPartly parceled out site with 2 sanitary facilities, one brand new, stylish and one old in the back of the site, clean toilets; bread roll service; no WLAN on the site, only at reception; quiet site at night; mainly transit site, we stayed 9 nights; starting point for cycling in the plain and in the vineyards;Traduzido automaticamente.

- Ano N.September 2017PositivosSanitary facilitiesNegativosAccording toSuper sanitary facilities, a little noisyThe best sanitary facilities I've seen in France. Spacious, clean, top! On one side is the canal, on the other a country road where people like to speed. The pitches on the country road are really only a few meters from the road, so you can get a fright when a car speeds past you.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Der D.June 2017PositivosClose to the highway Modern sanitary facilitiesNegativosIndustry on the other side of the river Road within earshotIdeal staging post on the A6The campsite with its partly shady pitches is located directly on the River Saone. The site is best reached via exit 26 Chalon-Sud, as you have to drive through the town at exit 25. The sanitary facilities were as good as new and clean. The pitches were secured with 10 A and large enough to stay overnight coupled up.Traduzido automaticamente.
- T. B.July 2016Positivoseasy to reach (from the highway) close to the cityNegativosNot very attractive investmentGood transit pointLocated directly on the river next to a busy, large bridge, yet not too noisy. Few facilities (no pool, no bike rental) that invite you to linger. Short, nice walk (approx. 2 km along the river) to the amazingly beautiful city center. Friendly reception, with bread roll service. Pitches only partly shady, but large enough. Sanitary facilities are new and clean (but catastrophically poorly ventilated).Traduzido automaticamente.
- R. K.May 2016PositivosClose to the highway, modern sanitary facilities, inexpensive due to acceptance of camping checks, beautifully situated on the riverNegativosI didn't notice anythingVery nice place to stay overnight near the highwayVery nice place to stay right on the river. We were only there for one night, but could imagine staying a few days longer. Modern sanitary facilities. The highway is 8 km away.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Jörg B.September 2015Positivos- Close to the highway - Close to the cityNegativos- Loud - High-voltage power lineNoisy square between highway and power lineThe site is easy to reach from the A6. The city can be reached on foot in 20 minutes. It is very noisy 24/7. On one side the highway over the bridge, on the other side the crackling high-voltage power line and directly behind the pitch the country road. Nice operators. Clean sanitary facilities.Traduzido automaticamente.
- René R.June 2015Positivos- well-kept and clean site - Chalon-s-Saone easily accessible on foot / by bikeNegativos- Sanitary facilities too scarceVery well-kept overnight accommodationVery well located place to stay. The reception was very friendly. Directly after the entrance there is a small area with neat mobile homes, then an area with parceled out pitches, separated by bushes and trees (shady). Then a larger area, as far as I could see unparceled. Basically a large flat meadow... with a few large trees (little shade). In the front area there is a new-looking larger sanitary block on a grassy hill. In the rear area, also on a grassy mound, there is a tiny sanitary block with 3 showers / 3 toilets per gender. This sanitary block also looks new, but is completely undersized, as the larger number of pitches is located in the rear area. Both sanitary blocks are clean. Despite fairly full occupancy at the start of the vacation, it was at least quiet at night. The site is located directly on a cycle/footpath along the Saone. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to the attractive town center. There is a small bistro on site and baguettes can be ordered in advance.Traduzido automaticamente.
- U. S.May 2015PositivosConveniently located for overnight stays Friendly service Clean and new sanitary facilities Spacious pitchesNegativoswe have not found anyPerfect place to spend the nightWe visited this site for the first time on our trip to the Périgord and were pleasantly surprised. Very friendly welcome, we were able to choose the pitch ourselves, beautiful and quiet location on the banks of the Saône, spotlessly clean and spacious sanitary facilities. There is a small restaurant... with an outdoor terrace in the reception area with a bread roll service. Some of the food can also be taken away, and takeaway drinks are also available. The ACSI card also offers excellent value for money. We will definitely stay here again.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Tina J.April 2015PositivosLocationNegativosParty noises from the opposite bank in the evening1a place in transitSmall but nice site, nicely parceled out, top modern and clean sanitary facilities. Friendly welcome, very reasonable price thanks to ACSI card.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Hermann G.August 2014PositivosClose to the city - CLEAN!!! - HOT water!!!NegativosActually none discovered! On the way homeWe stayed there for one night at the end of August, as the site was conveniently located on the route. It was NOT a disappointment: very friendly welcome with at least some English. The site itself is a flat meadow with no pitches. VERY clean sanitary facilities with VERY hot water (no risk of legionella!!!!).... Despite being close to the city, the night was quiet! We would gladly visit again. Paid € 27.90 for three people with electricity for one night, which is fine!Traduzido automaticamente.
- Die D.August 2013The campsite is located on the banks of the Saône with a view of Chalon-sur-Saône (approx. 15 minutes' walk to the old town, which is well worth seeing) and is easily and quickly accessible from the highway exit (good transit campsite with clean sanitary facilities). The pitches (meadow bordered by trees... and hedges) are also a reasonable size for caravans (with electricity). There is a restaurant on the site and a bread roll service is available if ordered in advance.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Jürgen Z.June 2013Positivosconvenient location, free WiFiNegativosI could not findGood place for stages and sightseeingThe site is conveniently located for visiting Chalon or exploring the surrounding Bourgogne villages. The sanitary facilities are spotless and clean, and the reception staff are very friendly. Free WiFi near the reception. If the mini-restaurants and shops are not enough for you, you can quickly reach... all the stores and plenty of restaurants on foot or by bike. The location on the river is beautiful even when the sky is gray (unfortunately I had it).Traduzido automaticamente.
- Friedrich M.May 2013Ideal as an overnight stop on the way south, we stayed for 2 days and also stopped here on the way back. Friendly welcome. Very nice pitches bordered by hedges directly on the Saone. Very clean new sanitary facilities. There is no kiosk, but you can order pain for the next morning. A large supermarket... a good 1 km away with a filling station that was 20 cents below the nearest highway filling station for diesel. (1.25 € instead of 1.45 €) Chalon is worth a visit.Traduzido automaticamente.
