- Djure F.July 2019Positivos- quiet location - cozy atmosphere - nice, helpful staff - the place and surroundings are very cleanNegativos- Sanitary facilities are not good. Everything in one room and after the toilet, the sinks are also used for washing hands etc.Very nice, quiet campsiteA very nice, quiet campsite with friendly staff. The pitches are in different locations, some in the middle of the dunes and some next to each other. Bicycles and cars are not allowed on the site. But you can get to the beach by bike in just over 10 minutes.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Cornel S.April 2019Positivosbeautiful pitches with sufficient space and distance to the neighborsNegativosToilets, urinals, washbasins, showers, fridge, sink - sometimes all in one room - rather unpleasant air when flushing :-)Great place for nature loversVery beautifully situated, great surroundings - absolutely brilliant, especially at the time of the tulip blossom.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Hans D.July 2018PositivosFriendliness of the staff.Negativostoo few and poor sanitary facilities, very loudUnfortunately nothing. The location seemed brilliant. In the middle of the dunes. Unfortunately, our pitch was right next to the road (no peace at night!), like all pitches for camper vans. The pitch was so small that it was not possible to put up an awning on our van. It was also too expensive.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Walter G.May 2017Positivos+ friendly, helpful manager and staff + beautiful location in the dunesNegativos- WLAN too expensiveBeautiful and pleasant campsiteI was there with my bike and tent. Friendly and helpful reception. Beautiful location in the dunes. Sanitary facilities clean and practical. I felt comfortable. WLAN too expensive in my opinion.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Thomas J.July 2016PositivosVery nice pitches in the upper dunes, nice playgrounds, very child-friendly..., nice receptionNegativosCar has to stay outside, too few parking spaces, dangerous parking on the roadside, unfriendly cleaning staff ....Beautiful dune camp with a very nice layoutBeautiful large campsite in the dunes, also very suitable for tents. We arrived at short notice with 3 children and a dog. Unfortunately, we got the impression that the reception had lost track of the actual free pitches. We were able to pitch our large tent. Next time, however, we would prefer a different... pitch. The noise from the main road directly adjacent to the site was a bit annoying. The better pitches further up were supposedly already fully booked, but this was not confirmed. In the high season, the site is no longer quiet. The very long walk to the beach is very unfortunate. Unfortunately, the beaches there are completely overcrowded in high season...Traduzido automaticamente.
- Jürgen M.September 2015PositivosLocation, peace and quiet.NegativosCleaning of the sanitary facilities from 8:00 am.Family place in a beautiful locationStay August/September 2015 (low season). Beautiful location in the middle of the dunes with no hedges or other barriers. Ideal for children as the site is car and bike free. Cars park in separate parking spaces. Not so suitable for motorhomes, as they cannot access the actual pitch. Simple but relatively... new sanitary blocks (no male/female separation). Sanitary blocks were always clean and well maintained. Reception offers bread roll service. Nearest small supermarket 1.5 km away, nearest large supermarket in Callantsoog (5 km). All in all, a well-kept place for a quiet vacation.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Paul G.August 2015Positivosgreat location in the dunes quiet, car-free well suited for childrenNegativosspacious, long way to the beachQuiet campsite in the dunesWe (2 adults, 3 children 0-4 years) were guests with a tent for 10 nights in mid-August. We had a quiet, secluded pitch at the far end of the campsite. The campsite is very long, i.e. it took us 10-15 minutes to walk to the reception/to get bread rolls, 30 minutes to the front end of the campsite and... 60 minutes to the beach. Cycling is prohibited on the site. Pitches are not accessible by car, i.e. luggage has to be taken to the tent in wheelbarrows. However, the site is pleasantly quiet and car-free. There are several nice playgrounds and entertainment during the vacations. There are very modern sanitary facilities and also very basic ones at the far end. Overall, the site is highly recommended and stands out from the chessboard-like caravan sites.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Zelter X.August 2015PositivosVery friendly staff, natural and car-free site.NegativosUnfortunately no feel-good atmosphere in the sanitary area.Family-friendly placeThe site is located directly on the coastal road in the grassy dunes. The terrain is correspondingly hilly and the pitches are widely scattered in hollows or on dune tops. There are some really nice, hidden pitches, but some are also uneven or close to the road. However, there is hardly any traffic on... the road in the evening or at night. A little more cleanliness on the pitches would be desirable. A few flat pitches and a large, well-kept meadow are suitable for caravans and motorhomes, but the majority of the pitches are only suitable for tents. The friendliness of the staff is very positive! You can tell that the guest's well-being is important to them! The heated sanitary blocks are cleaned regularly, but still appear rather basic and slightly dingy. The male and female toilets and washrooms are not separate and are a little too small. Hot water is only available for a fee. There is an extra baby and toddler bath and shower. There are also well-maintained playgrounds scattered around. As the entire site is car-free, it is a paradise for children. Dogs should only be kept on a lead. Seagulls and geese fly noisily over the area and when it rains, a few toads hop across the site. The campsite's heraldic animal breeds in the nearby Zwanenwater. A 1650m long paved path leads from parking lot C (at the very front) through the dunes to the sea. A Spar supermarket is within walking distance, a larger supermarket is located in Callantsoog a few kilometers away, as are several restaurants. All in all, a pleasant place for individualists who need little comfort but a lot of nature!Traduzido automaticamente.
- Bernhard G.June 2011Very nice campsite situated in the dunes. Sanitary facilities are clean - we liked the surroundings very much!Traduzido automaticamente.
- Frank F.August 2010We were traveling with our children (6 + 12) and had spontaneously set off for the North Sea without a reservation. We chose the pitch "by eye". LOCATION The site is in a long stretch directly in the dunes on the seaward side of the coastal road and is also partly visible from there. There is a nature... reserve between the site and the beach, so it is a little further to the water (800m from the start of the site / 1.5 km from the end of the site). TENT PITCHES The "pitches" of various sizes are beautifully embedded in the dunes, on sandy/grassy ground. The site is mostly overgrown with dense bushes and trees and is left as natural as possible. Some pitches are panorama-like at the top of the dunes, others are mysteriously hidden between bushes in small clearings. The paths wind their way across the site, either paved or paved with bark mulch. Cars inevitably stay outside. Almost every pitch has an electricity connection. SANITARY Our reference class is the L'Ardechois campsite. Compared to this, the facilities are rather "functional", uncomfortable, but at least reasonably clean. Hot water for a fee. CHILDREN There are several small playgrounds dotted around the site. If you leave your child there for a few minutes, they will quickly find playmates. There is also a small daily entertainment program at reception. The campsite itself is playground enough with its maze-like layout. All in all, it's more for the little ones. From the age of 10 it becomes more difficult. But that's what the beach is for. CONCLUSION A great insider tip if you can do without all the fuss of a 5-star campsite.Traduzido automaticamente.
