- Katharina B.July 2022Positivos- Beautiful location - Built like a "terrace" so in steps - very quiet - nice staff - very clean facilitiesNegativos- Restaurant was not open when we were thereVery nice location and very quietI was allowed to stay overnight with you in our bus with my 2 friends when we visited the Openair Frauenfeld 2022. It takes about 15 minutes to drive to the Openair and it was just perfect for us because we wanted to have our peace and quiet when we slept and didn't want to camp directly at the Openair... campsite. The Guldifuss campsite is right on Lake Constance and you can walk down to the lake in a minute from the campsite. We could see the lake directly from our pitch and we really liked that. It was always very quiet and clean and a wonderful atmosphere. The staff were very friendly anyway, as we are used to in Switzerland. The permanent campers were also very nice and helpful when setting up our awning. The sanitary facilities are small but nice and were also always very clean. Thank you for a great stay! Next time we go to the Openair, we will certainly stay at your campsite again! Thank you 🥰Traduzido automaticamente.
- Matthias M.April 2021PositivosQuiet, friendly, clean, by the lakeNegativosRather small tourist spotsNice, small placeBeautiful location on the lake, terraced. Some of the tourist pitches have a view of the lake, we were lucky enough to have one. When the tourist pitches are full, they tend to be small. Uncomplicated groundsman, friendly welcome. The S-Bahn runs very quietly; the road is audible, but was not very busy in April. As there were hardly any permanent campers on the site, it was generally very quiet. Very clean sanitary facilities.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Si B.July 2019PositivosDogs are allowed in the water on site. Small campsite. Friendly. Direct access to the lake Situated in beautiful surroundings.NegativosRelatively few tourist spots so it was a bit boring for our daughter. (Had few children in July19). No store, no restaurant. (Rest. was closed because no tenant). Railroad directly inter CP. Our pitch has no view of the lake.Small CP, mainly permanent campers, also quite good for dog owners. We were there in July 2019. 2E, 1K, 1dog.
Pitch for caravan was large, as the space next to us remained free. Otherwise just "normal" size, i.e. not lush...
Sanitary facilities in 80s style... but clean.
Access to the lake is great as it's close and dogs are also allowed in (on the edge - but that's... ok). This makes it a cool campsite for bathers and stand-up paddlers.
Why we don't go there anymore: It was too boring for our daughter. There are few tourist spots and therefore few children.
I would take: Kayak or stand-up paddle or similar and bike and at least 2 children (or none).
For those without children: It's a good place to go. Less hustle and bustle and the lake is close and very beautiful there. (Lake Constance isn't that big there, which makes it seem somehow "homely").Traduzido automaticamente. - Uwe M.June 2019Positivos- Friendly reception - Beautiful pitch - hot water and WLan incl.Negativos- at most the S-BahnSmall but niceThere were two of us with two small dogs and a caravan here on the site for a week. The registration desk was only occupied sporadically, but because we had announced our arrival, the operator was still on site and waited for us. We were allocated the pitch. There is no larger, separate tourist area.... The site is dominated by (very friendly) permanent campers, only a few tourist pitches (12) are free, and these are not in the front row with a view of the lake. The size of the pitches was ok for us, despite the awning we still had enough space to sit. But this was also because the cars were supposed to stay in the parking lot in front of the barrier. There is electricity on the pitch (always between two pitches), but water and waste water are only available at the taps. Depending on the pitch, there is also some shade provided by old fruit trees. There is no lunch break, only a night's rest from 11pm to 8am. The campsite is very quiet, the only thing that might disturb some people is the regular passing of the S-Bahn (the tracks run right past the campsite). It didn't bother us. The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated, I think 70s or 80s (bowls in Bahama beige :-) look at the pictures), but they are clean, which is the main thing. Very advantageous: hot water included and no annoying push button for the water, but a sensible tap. There is also decent toilet paper, not the one-ply cheap wrapping paper that is common on some campsites. The only annoying thing: the light switch (push button), because after a few minutes the light goes out again, for a "session" on the bowl the time is very sporty. Wi-Fi is also available free of charge. Depending on the day, the speed is even very usable. Signal strength very good. Unfortunately, the restaurant has probably been closed for some time, there is no tenant. Shopping facilities are about 8 minutes by car in Stein am Rhein on the Swiss side, or if you want it cheaper: just over the border in about 15 minutes on the German side is a Lidl. The site is also suitable for dogs, there is access to the lake, where the Schnuffis can also go into the water, otherwise there are plenty of opportunities to run around outside the site. There is also a bathing jetty and a bathing raft, as well as several boat moorings. Also not bad: The caravans of the permanent campers must not be older than about 8 years, otherwise this would disturb the good image of the place. So there are no old rotten permanent pitches here, the whole site is very well maintained. If you want to get a bargain you should have a look at the campsite's homepage, there are quite a few pitches on offer. As the disposal is quite expensive, you can probably get it for a bargain price. We liked it very much and would definitely come back if we are in the area again.Traduzido automaticamente.
- PB P.June 2018PositivosNear Lake Constance Ideal for swimmingNegativosSmall parcels, view only of the caravan in front of you.Nice Campsite near the lake! The campsite parcel given to us was very (very) small. We couldn't even roll out our awning, because it would end up on the road.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Reiner U.August 2016PositivosVery well-kept site. Excellent tent pitch right by the water. Nice bathing opportunity.NegativosLess suitable for children (but tourist places are also available when everything else around Lake Constance is fully booked)Very well-kept place, good restaurant, very quietVery nice, sometimes fully booked tent meadow directly on the water. Swimming is easy (shallow). Smaller boats can be launched at their own ramp. Few tourist pitches, but these are readily available as there are few attractions for children other than swimming. Many permanent campers, well-maintained crowd. Restaurant on site very good and prices reasonable - lunch menu. Constance can be reached in 30 minutes by train.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Kathrin G.July 2013PositivosDirect lake accessNegativosNo playground or entertainment for small children.Camping GuldifussThe campsite is beautifully situated on Untersee. Directly on the lake with a jetty. Ideal for swimming.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Bozena K.June 2010It is quiet site on the edge of the lake. Although there are a lot of all-year private pitches there, there is nice grassy space for tents directly on the lake side. Staff is very friendly and helpful. You can eat something palatable in the small restaurant on the site.Traduzido automaticamente.
