- Stefan S.July 2021PositivosDirectly on the beach Close to the city center with shopping and restaurants 2 poolsNegativosSmall beachSuper price-performance ratioWe were there by chance. But we liked it and stayed for 7 nights. The pitches are large enough and almost all in the shade of pine trees. There is a direct beach, although it is rather small for the size of the site. The sanitary facilities were fairly new and clean. Unfortunately, only one of the two... wash houses was open, which sometimes led to bottlenecks towards the end when the campsite became full.
The cleaning ladies were busy all day until 22:00.
Despite its central location in the city, it was very quiet on the site.
The adjacent hotel also belongs to the campsite. The facilities there can therefore also be used.Traduzido automaticamente. - Roland N.October 2018Positivos- Location to Paklenica National Park - quiet location - well-kept complex - very good WLan (free of charge) - local supply is very goodNegativos- Restaurant is expensiveNice clean campsiteWe stayed at the campsite for a few nights at the beginning of October. The reception staff were very friendly. Although the season had long since ended, there were still some guests on the site. The campsite belongs to the adjoining hotel. The pool can also be used, but was no longer in use. The restaurant... on site was very good, but also expensive and the waiter "tricked" us with a bottle of wine. There are also a few small supermarkets in the surrounding area, although the closest one is not the nicest or cheapest. The ones a little further away are better. Wifi was very good at our pitch, although we were relatively close to reception. The sanitary facilities are not the best, but basically okay. You can't really hear anything from the nearby road.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Martin E.September 2017PositivosQuiet, beautiful pitches by the sea, nice beach and poolNegativosToilets/wash house dirty, old wash house very bad condition (narrow and run down), campsite partly dirtyNice, but not clean!Nice, smaller campsite. Had very nice pitches in the front row. Beach and pool are nice. Good shopping facilities directly on site. Children's disco and morning sports mediocre. The wash houses and the campsite were unfortunately not clean. There were lots of cigarette butts on the beach and even dog... excrement on the campsite. This is certainly the main problem, but you should expect a good campsite to be cleaned regularly. Good starting point for the national park!Traduzido automaticamente.
- Wolfgang K.June 2017PositivosNo experienceNegativosfew pitches on the beach. small pitchesnot everyone's placeReservation was supposedly not necessary on request, on arrival there were still 4 pitches available. Pitches are narrow. Only a few on the beach and mobile homes behind them. We drove on straight away.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Markus B.September 2016PositivosCharm and feel-good factor!NegativosDepending on your needs ?Small cozy place! Here you will find peace and quiet and a super clean new sanitary building. We have rarely found such a small place for our big boat where there is charm and ambience. The team is exemplary, friendly and helpful! Even as a dog owner you can go for a good walk and the four-legged friends can let off steam... on the large adjoining meadows! No compulsory pitches and absolutely reasonable prices! Absolutely top for lukewarm money in the footsteps of Winnetou!!!Traduzido automaticamente.
- Johannes L.September 2016Quiet areaAfter landing in Biograd by chance (we always do), we just wanted to get away from there. The coast was pasted over with concrete bunkers, directly behind it a road with 10 times as much traffic as on the highway. So we used the map again to find another location. After a missed highway exit, a marital... dispute and a wasted vacation day, we arrived in Starigrad and stayed here. We liked it, but it wasn't amazing. Well, just middle class. Paclenica National Park is well worth a visit. It was too hot for us at the end of August, but in September or even better October it's a beautiful hiking area in unspoiled nature that Germany has nowhere else to offer. Manita pec is the name of the stalactite cave at around 550m above sea level, which you should definitely visit. The temperature here is 9-10°C all year round, which is great for cooling off after the heat of the south-facing ascent.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Simon H.August 2016Positivosbeautiful beach. National park on the doorstep. You should usually get a pitch. Super wifiNegativosShopping facilities. Many travelers passing through. At Bora you are stuck because the highway and some of the country roads are closed to caravans.Good averageAfter failing to find a pitch on the island of Pag and in Zadar, we ended up here. The site is quite nice, with a very beautiful beach. Unfortunately, this site is used by many people passing through, so there is a lot of coming and going. The sanitary facilities are clean and the showers are hot. Shopping... facilities are available, but only corner stores. You can get everything, but there is little choice. The nearest larger store is 50 km away. We went on the photo safari. It costs a bit, but it was very nice. Unfortunately, we had the bora.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Lothar K.June 2016PositivosGood location and infrastructure Useful WLAN 16A power supplyNegativosLower sanitary facilitiesGood location and infrastructure at a proud priceAfter knowing the place for over 30 years, we are currently back on site after a 3-year absence until July 13, 16. The pictures of the sanitary facilities refer exclusively to the "old" lower sanitary building which has been renovated for many years. Due to the conversion of the site about 3 years ago,... the power supply (16A) and the water connections were redone and the site was parceled out. Several WLAN HotSpots were also installed which now guarantee usable WLAN throughout the site. Unfortunately, "thousands" of mobile homes were also built in the process (unfortunately also in the first row). Here are the key facts: + good location directly by the sea and infrastructure (store right at the entrance) + 2 restaurants on site (Batela usable) / takeaway pizzas + 16A power connections per pitch + own water connection + pool and action programs from the hotel can be used + friendly German-speaking reception + usable free WLAN throughout the site + petrol station + various stores directly on site + Paklenica National Park (hiking/climbing) + good, well-kept beach area (pebbles) + lots of shady spots + very good mobile phone coverage with LTE available + Winnetou Museum - lower sanitary building urgently in need of renovation - many mobile homes - proud price (currently 48€ f. 2 persons+WOWA/car) - partly unfortunate placement of electricity/water connections for more information I am available on site until approx. 13.07.16. lothar.kettemann@web.deTraduzido automaticamente.
- Jasmin S.August 2015PositivosProximity to NP Paklenica, if you can't/won't drive to the parking lot by car Offers of the hotel can be used.NegativosExpensive.Very expensiveWe stayed here for 3 nights at the end of August 2015 with 2 adults and 2 teenagers (also adults in terms of price). We actually wanted to go to the cheaper site next door, which was fully booked. We found enough free pitches at the Starigrad campsite near the Hotel Blue Alan, but unfortunately not directly... by the sea or nearby. Some of the pitches there were excessively large - disproportionate. The front line was partly occupied by mobile homes. Reception gave us a friendly welcome and was very helpful (in German). We enjoyed using the hotel pool and visiting the Winnetou Museum, where the actors were housed at the time. We booked a jeep safari through the hotel (highly recommended, but not cheap, but worth it as we didn't want to and couldn't drive everywhere with the camper van). However, the sanitary facilities were not necessarily modern, clean or well-maintained for this price. Only the upper sanitary block was adequate for the price. The beach is pebbly and there wasn't much to see when snorkeling. In the evening, however, there were wonderful sunsets and beautiful views of the Velebit mountains. Access for non-campers via the grounds. Control at the fence (access also to the supermarket). No bus connection to the NP entrance: plan about 3 kilometers to hike there (and back again). We were lucky that the man from the hotel's excursion office drove us there. Otherwise it would have been very long. NP was fantastic. You can see a lot in 2 1/2 hours (one way). The start is a bit more challenging, then an easy hiking trail. Pizzeria was ok. Bike rental expensive at 120 kunos per day. The fence goes right into the water to separate it from the cheaper site next door. We paid just under 170€ for 3 nights.Traduzido automaticamente.
- bernd w.August 2013With entry into the EU there was a price adjustment, other places in the immediate vicinity are much cheaper and also speak German. Rather unsuitable for small children, school children ok, they are allowed to use the adjacent pool of the hotel free of charge, but this gets boring in the long run. The... place is reasonably well maintained, the wash houses are modern and they make an effort, which is not always successful. The drains in the showers are ALL blocked! As already mentioned by others, campers are pushed into the 2nd row behind the many bungalows, which in return get the really loud nightly sound from the hotel, a NO GO for the prices. The site is really ideal for hikers and climbing enthusiasts, who are out and about all day, as the site offers hardly any opportunities. The nearby park (known from the Winnetou films), which can only be visited in midsummer in the early hours of the morning (endless heat) with good footwear, the clean sea for snorkeling (bathing shoes are mandatory, sharp-edged stones), is good. Note to the street vendors, the goods come from the discounter (honey and olive oil is decanted) and the vegetables to 80% from the wholesale market and the prices are zt above the supermarkets.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Rabea B.August 2013We stayed at the site for three nights, for a stopover and of course to visit the national park. The national park is great and definitely worth a stopover. It has a wonderful atmosphere, you don't step on each other's toes (unlike the Plitvice Lakes) and even children under the age of 6 can walk along... without any problems. I found the place to be quite anonymous and actually very neutral. Lots of climbers of course, generally a very international crowd. The beach was okay for jumping into the water in the evening, the sanitary facilities were perfectly fine. Perhaps the pitches under tall trees deserve special mention. Conclusion, as others have already said, the site is perfectly fine for passing through, but I wouldn't want to spend my vacation there.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Horst W.August 2013PositivosBeautifully landscaped site, pool, close to the nature parkNegativosToo loud music until late at night, grotty restaurant, relatively expensiveAugust 2013We stayed on the pitch for 13 nights. As others have already described, the beach is pebbly and if you have enough calluses on your feet, you can get in without slippers. The water is very clean and crystal clear when it's not bora. The pitches right by the sea are premium pitches, i.e. waste water,... fresh water and electricity. But this also has its price. We paid 50 euros for 3 people and a caravan (high season). The sanitary facilities were ok and reasonably well cleaned (why the corners are never cleaned - not only on this site - remains a mystery to me). I can't recommend the konoba at the campsite. Unloving food and a high price. Better the Dalmatija in the village. The worst thing was the events for the all-inclusive hotel guests: every evening from 21:00 until after 00:00 the entire square was blasted with music from the hotel terrace. Once a week was quiz night (in Croatian, or Russian?) The other evenings there were 2 solo entertainers who played the same songs every night at the volume of a jet plane over the square. That was torture! Even on our pitch, 300 meters away, the music could be heard at the volume of a well turned up stereo system. We felt sorry for the residents of the mobile homes that were grouped directly around the hotel terrace. When I asked the hotel in the second week whether it would be possible to turn it down a little, they shrugged their shoulders. I then tried it directly with the all-inclusive waiter. I watched as he went to the musicians and they turned it up a little louder. :-( We then left 2 days earlier (admittedly also because of the bora). I will never listen to the Schneewalzer again for the rest of my life... Conclusion: Actually a nice place, not overpriced for what's on offer, but at the upper end. More than suitable as a transit site for the national park, but I wouldn't go there again for a longer stay.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Mario P.July 2013We were at the campsite at the end of July, 2 adults and 2 children, and like the people who wrote before us, the campsite mainly served as a starting point for the Paklenica National Point. The Konoba Batela at the campsite is, I think it's fair to say, the worst in Croatia!!! Beef was very well done,... tuna sold as salmon, tuna grilled to death!!! The pitches were newly laid out and quite tidy with electricity, water and drainage. The pitches by the sea were filled with mobile homes throughout the last season, which detracted from the flair of the otherwise beautiful sea access and pushed the campers to the back rows. With the new wash house, the noise pollution from the hotel is no longer a nuisance. If you want to use the hotel pool you get a red wristband that makes you look like you've come from the ornithological station (quite annoying for me). At the campsite itself there are some old dilapidated buildings where the windows have been replaced by boards and give an old impression. The small bar at the stand where you can get simple dishes and pizza is friendly and the food is also great. The toilets and showers were poorly cleaned and only had empty soaps and paper towel dispensers. When I asked at reception why there was no soap in the toilets I was told that I could rent a private washroom which would also have soap and paper towels. After all, we are in the Balkans and that's the way it is!!! and I should complain to the director of the hotel Alan who is responsible for the campsite. To sum up, I would say that it is a pity about the place because the area is wonderful and not only for Winnetou fans!!! But we won't go there again under such conditions.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Michael S.September 2012The campsite served as our starting point for exploring the Paklenica National Park. With the ADAC Campingcard, we were able to stay for a reasonable fixed price (incl. dog). We were on an unparceled shady pitch, had direct electricity and only a few meters to the beach. The restaurant on site is highly... recommended; very good, fresh food at reasonable prices. The newly renovated sanitary facilities directly in our corner were closed, the central sanitary facilities are a bit outdated but okay. A tip for shopping. If you turn left from the campsite on the main road, after about 200-300m you come to another supermarket, which at the time of our visit was cheaper than the market directly at the campsite. And as we often had to withdraw money anyway, we also stopped at the supermarket further away because there was also an ATM there. Summary: Perfect, inexpensive campsite with all-round facilities for transit and short stays.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Andrea Peter Luciano P.August 2012Only one overnight stay with a tent. As unfortunately in other campsites, the receptionist has charged us more that we have set up 2 mini tents instead of the big tent. Toilet new and clean but closed overnight!!! A mini market is directly in front of the campsite entrance, open until 9pm.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Rudolf E.June 2012Very good campsite for hikers, mountaineers and climbers. The beach also invites you to linger.Traduzido automaticamente.

- Andreas K.September 2011We were here in September and had a fantastic pitch in the first row right on the beach. The sanitary facilities were always clean and were cleaned regularly. There is a store right at the entrance to the site and there is also a restaurant. The campsite is right next to the hotel and you can use the... hotel's infrastructure. Ideal starting point for excursions in the Paklenica National Park. For Karl May fans there is a small Winnetou Museum next to the hotel.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Alexander R.September 2011Nice place directly on the pebble beach, sanitary facilities were always clean when we were there. Lots of shade throughout the site, possibly a little noisier at night before midnight due to the neighboring campsite. Great grocery store in front of the campsite.Traduzido automaticamente.
- regina s.August 2011very nice beach, great pool, fantastic bar in Starigrad, wonderful hike in the Pakenicka gorge, best to cycle to the gorge - otherwise far!!!!Traduzido automaticamente.
