We were also a little disappointed with our rental caravan at first, it really didn't look like the photo on the homepage, but at least it had a toilet and everything was clean. The site is very family-run and is beautifully situated in the countryside, surrounded by palm trees and other trees right next to the wonderful lake next to the other campsites. The pitches seemed a bit small to me. You can take the boat to Locarno for free (a short 10-minute walk), which we often used. The campsite has a sunbathing beach with benches to sit on (very hot as there are no umbrellas) and a lovely lawn with trees where you also have shade. The pizza in the campsite restaurant was very tasty, the store is not so useful, but at least they had fresh bread rolls in the morning (the store at the neighboring campsite is recommended here). I also found the owner's family a bit strange, especially the owner, he seemed grumpy and annoyed to me, but his mother was very helpful and friendly. What bothered me most was the noise at night, we had a group of young French people in the tent next door, they made quite a racket deep into the night, it seems to me that nobody cares about peace and quiet at night, you have to know that. When we asked the landlord about this in a friendly manner, we were told off.
