- Ha P.July 2019PositivosBeachNegativosPriceRip-offThe campsite is right on the water, but it's a real rip-off. Five-year-old children already have to pay the price of an adult. Hot showers are only available for extra money, which is impossible given the price of the pitch. A family of four pays €57 per night!!!!Traduzido automaticamente.
- Manuela R.October 2018Positivosbeauty and care of the campground, especially the greenery; cleanliness; the beach.NegativosThe only drawback (if we can call it that) is the small access road to the campsite, which is really narrow because of its two-way traffic.Beautiful camping among the flowers and greeneryThis camping site is really extraordinary, the first aspect that strikes you is the care of the greenery: a real explosion of colors and scents, a heterogeneous arrangement of plants and shrubs taken care of in the smallest detail by the experience and passion of the owner of the camping site, to whom... must be given credit, in addition to a great patience (with plants it is like that), also good taste. Overall, the facility is very pleasant and kept in excellent condition: the bathroom area - comfortable and clean - gives a modern touch, while the restaurant and reception area have a decidedly traditional look, with stone and wood structure, really nice. In addition to the restaurant, where the food is very good and the reception is excellent, there is a small market and a golden sandy beach washed by the blue sea, where spending the day can be very relaxing. The pitch area is spread over two levels: a flat area (generally for large RVs) and a large terraced area that slopes down to the sea (for tents and smaller RVs). For those traveling in tents, it should be pointed out that the bottom of the terraces is sandy, so even if it rains, you can stay dry and comfortable. All in all, spending several days at this campsite was a real pleasure for the senses, but also for all the cultural and natural beauties that the Sicilian land reserves in its surroundings for its visitors. As for the owners of the campground, a couple of gentlemen, let's say no longer kids, they keep very much to themselves, but they are still helpful and kind, just be as kind, and the care and dedication they give to their facility are unquestionable. In short, having gone into so much detail, I just highly recommend it.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Stephan B.September 2018PositivosLocation Beach RestaurantNegativosA little too expensive Wifi outrageous 11 Euro for one hour !!!Nice location - good restaurantThe location is good, the beach is beautiful. The campsite is swept from 7 a.m., no leaves are allowed to lie around. The sanitary facilities: light barrier, self-opening doors, automatic taps, almost all a bit too much of a good thing. The restaurant is great - service and food. Good as a base for excursions. quite expensive.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Sergio M.August 2017PositivosNext to the beachNegativosThe owner of the campsiteI will not returnCamping with the heads and tails of a coin. The lady in charge of reception, charming. The man in charge of allocating the plots (her husband), obnoxious. The location is complicated, the restaurant is good value for money and good service. The plots for planting a tent can be very good or very bad, depending on the one you get (no discussion).Traduzido automaticamente.
- Ulf D.May 2017directly on the beachthe access road from the main road (500m) is winding and very narrow, almost no possibility to avoid oncoming traffic - just passable for a medium-sized caravan (if you are lucky enough that no one is coming the other way); hardly any maneuvering possibilities on the site, narrow pitches, binding pitch... instructions from the owner despite free alternatives; beautiful beach, which also gets very crowded on weekends; sanitary facilities reasonably clean, hot showers with 50 C shower tokens; site restaurant open and good; 1 person + car + caravan cost €26 in the low season!Traduzido automaticamente.
- Richard M.April 2017PositivosHard-working family runs the place. Quiet location in a residential area with detached houses with garden.NegativosAccess is zigzag via a narrow road (approx. 3 m wide). Exit via the same road. Hardly any passing possibilities.Landscaped squareBeautifully laid out site. Pitches in the upper part are reserved for caravans and motorhomes, while the two lower terraces are also allocated to tent campers. One level below is a 10m wide sandy beach. Sanitary facilities with the latest technical equipment, but unfortunately the technology in the showers... does not work (electronics). Showers are activated with tokens and via the control panel, if you are lucky they release hot water and it runs for 5 minutes or even just 20 seconds. During our 3-day stay, the service company was busy with repairs on 2 days. The restaurant on site offers good food and there is a small market next to it.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Sonja H.September 2016PositivosGreat square designNegativosToo short shower time and too stingy to charge the necessary chips sufficiently, very narrow access, W-Lan very expensiveVery nicely laid out place, much too short shower time!A great place in terms of the layout. Tropical plants, beautifully laid out. The pitches on the terraces are very small. There is no room for an awning. The table and chairs just fit in front of our caravan. The car has to be parked in an extra space. The operator does his rounds several times a day... on a scooter to check that everything is in order. Nice access to the wonderful sandy beach. The sanitary facilities are modern and superficially clean. Well-kept is something else. As already described, the washrooms are visible from both sides. Unfortunately, there is only cold water for washing dishes. The shower situation was the most annoying. 1. as an acsic customer you only get one chip for two people and this is only charged for a maximum of two showers. This means that you always have to shower together or wait until your partner comes back. You then have to recharge your chip every day. 2. the chip machines are in front of the showers, bad luck if your hair is full of foam and only cold water comes out. 3. supposedly you can shower for 5 minutes. However, it is never 5 minutes. It takes 2 minutes until the water is halfway warm. On two days I only had lukewarm water. Despite ongoing complaints - including from other campers - the operators refused to listen. We got the impression that the money wasted on the facilities and the modern sanitary facilities had to be saved somewhere - in this case on the hot water. W-Lan for 4 days € 19,00!!!!!! That's a rip-off! We stayed at the campsite for 7 days, during which time the senior manager was almost always sitting at reception, the lady couldn't manage to crack a smile. The campsite is ideally located for sightseeing such as Noto, Siracusa, Etna etc. There are several supermarkets in Avola, including a Lidl. We ended up fleeing because of the many mosquitoes.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Kurt u. Karin W.June 2016PositivosVery lovingly and cleanly laid out! Beautiful, clean sea! Quiet! Very friendly owners!NegativosDisadvantages?.... There are absolutely none!Simply fantastic !!!A beautiful and extremely well-kept campsite surrounded by Mediterranean and tropical plants! A jewel of a campsite! The owners are very friendly and welcoming! The location is perfect: very quiet a few kilometers to Avola! The sea is crystal clear and the beach clean with the finest sand! For us it... is certain that we will come back as soon as possible!!!!! We felt very comfortable and are already looking forward to our next vacation at Campeggio Sabbiadoro!Traduzido automaticamente.
- Sigrid K.May 2015PositivosBeautiful planting, good sanitary facilities, great supply and disposal!NegativosPoor access, little space on the terrace pitches, very dusty, no restaurant open in May, rather noisy groups on siteBeautifully laid out, but with minor flawsThe very narrow access road has already been described, and the pitches on the upper terraces are not exactly huge either. What should be noted, however, was the dusty floor on these terraces, not nice at all. Unfortunately, there was no restaurant open, not even one in the immediate vicinity, so our plan to stay a few days was over the next day.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Karl-Heinz D.April 2015Cleanliness of the sanitary facilitiesI can fully confirm the positive comments. I cannot confirm the lack of cleanliness. I found it very clean and the sanitary facilities were state of the art.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Bianka V.April 2015PositivosDirect beach access Great facilityNegativosVery narrow drivewayGreat Mediterranean-style placeThe campsite can be reached (as often described) via a very narrow access road. However, we were able to manage the approach with a 12 m x 2.50 m caravan. If there are cars parked in the bends, it becomes challenging. The effort is definitely worth it. The site is terraced towards the sea. The Mediterranean... and unusual planting is fantastic; the grounds are very well maintained. The sandy beach can be reached via its own access and is clean. The welcome from the young owner couple was very warm. We were offered several great pitches and were allowed to choose. They helped us with maneuvering and regularly asked if everything was okay. The sanitary building is modern, but needs a lot more care and cleaning. The hot showers cost 50 cents. Unfortunately, there is only cold to lukewarm water for washing up. The washbasins are located in a separate room that can be seen from both sides. Children from 0-5 years are charged 4 euros per day. However, there are no shower, washing or changing facilities for small children. There is also no playground. The consideration for the 4 euros is therefore questionable. Conclusion: A great campsite with minor flaws.Traduzido automaticamente.
- M. D.August 2014PositivosFriendliness, cleanliness and peace and quiet.NegativosExtremely narrow and winding driveway!Very nicely maintained place, unfortunately the access road is nerve-wracking.Good starting point for visiting Avola and the beautiful baroque town of Noto. There are numerous supermarkets in Avola (approx. 3 km away).Traduzido automaticamente.
- iacopo s.July 2013What every camper would like to find in a campsite! Beautiful sea. Distant from Avola 4-5 km, poorly served by public transportation.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Volker K.May 2013Difficult to reach with large vehicles due to the narrow access road, the site is quite quiet off the main road. The welcome and support from the owner is very friendly and helpful. The site is completely paved with a water-bound surface; very well maintained and clean and tidy. The pitches are relatively... small and quite cramped. Nevertheless, the site is very quiet. Water and electricity connections everywhere, lots of shade on the green and new sanitary facilities. Unfortunately, these are not cleaned sufficiently and are usually dirty. The sandy beach is easily accessible and relatively clean. The restaurant is excellent and offers regional cuisine. The perfect place for a rest day or a few days on the beach.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Oliver F.May 2013The sanitary building near the beach is brand new (electric sliding doors), hot water shower 0,50€. Modern equipment with LED lighting, unfortunately the cleanliness is not 100%. You can eat well in the restaurant, the pizzas are very tasty. The beach is directly accessible, with excellent water quality.... The pitches are not so pleasant for tent campers as the ground is very hard and sandy. Pegs are difficult to hammer in and the fine sand on the ground creeps into every crack. The pitches and the vegetation are well maintained and very inviting. We give it a very clear recommendation, we would come again.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Stefan H.June 2012First of all, you should take the warnings in travel guides about a narrow approach to this place seriously. It goes through the middle of a narrow residential area, the plots to the left and right of the road are all protected by high walls over which the most beautiful flowers and shrubs grow. The... problem is that to the left and right of our caravan (2.40 m wide) there is usually less than 10 cm of space, and it is often impossible to get out of the car because it is too narrow. In addition, there are three or four 90 degree bends, which were just about manageable with our trailer (approx. 12.50m) - see also pictures. But the site itself is worth the effort. A very modern sanitary building (automatic doors - don't always open but work well) and mostly clean (but could be even better). Extremely well-kept and beautifully laid out shady pitches, but without a direct view of the sea. The site has direct access to the sandy beach - it goes over large but flat stones into the sea. There is also a small restaurant with delicious food and a small supermarket. The site is suitable as a starting point for Noto or Siracusa, for example.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Reto F.October 2011We only used this place to stay overnight in October. Only a few vacationers at this time of year. Open all year round. Bread rolls for breakfast can still be ordered, that's all. The access road is adventurous, very narrow but with no incline. Otherwise an extremely beautiful, terraced site with lush... vegetation. Sabbiadoro! That's right, the beach is fine-grained, golden and clean. The sea is still inviting for a swim. New: the sanitary and electrical facilities have never been so modern and everything is spotlessly clean. A very pleasant place.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Franz-Josef E.September 2010We refrained from staying because of the sanitary facilities. The access with a larger trailer (Jeunesse 540E) is at the limit of what is feasible and it is almost impossible to leave the site when coupled up. What's more, we didn't attract any attention during our half-hour stay at the beginning of September.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Roland M.April 2010Very narrow access road. Pitches are good. Sanitary facilities clean, but absolutely inadequate, like in the fifties!Traduzido automaticamente.
