- Karl-Heinz P.June 2022PositivosYou can not make a reservation and departure until 16.00 clockNegativosI haven't noticed anyNew operator very good conceptWe arrived at lunchtime and were lucky to get a place on the Moselle (camp has no parceling) at the weekend it can get a bit louder if you are right on the Moselle (motorboat and jet ski traffic) but everything is tolerable. Very good restaurant and a great beer gardenTraduzido automaticamente.
- Uwe B.January 2022PositivosFree choice of seats, friendly receptionNegativosSince we don't need any fancy dress: none.Simple and goodFrom the uncomplicated registration to the departure (possible until 6 pm!), it was the right place for us. We were here on the last weekend before the 2021 winter break to explore the area. Unfortunately, the restaurant was already closed, so we ate in the adjacent marina. That was really good. The sanitary facilities were always clean and perfectly adequate.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Thomas B.August 2021PositivosNo parceling 24 hour arrival Boat and trailer spaces and slipway available No reservation necessary great location on the Moselle good island restaurant clean sanitary facilitiesNegativosnoneAgain and again with pleasure! We have been there several times and have always been thrilled!
Totally uncomplicated, just arrive, find a pitch and you're done!
Sanitary facilities were cleaned several times a day.
Boat slip facility for small to medium-sized boats easy to use. Quietly located in the harbor area. Very positive, slip... facility can also be used for day guests for a small fee. Water skiing and high-speed routes are within easy reach, and there is also a jet ski route nearby.
There are plenty of garbage cans on the site and they are emptied daily.
The island restaurant is highly recommended, but is also very busy and, depending on the season, a reservation is recommended.
You can also buy bread rolls etc. here from 08:00 in the morning. Advance booking not necessary! Nearest supermarket in Kobern-Gondorf approx. 5 km away. (also easy to reach by bike)
Another good restaurant in the marina, also recommended.
Reception and staff are very nice and helpful.Traduzido automaticamente. - Peter R.June 2021PositivosThe "island location" is great, the view of the Moselle or vineyards is impressive, the proximity to Winningen and Koblenz is ideal, there are many hiking and cycling opportunitiesNegativosApproach somewhat difficult past the marina, then single-lane approach section without alternative route but visibleGreat locationHave used the place several times for short trips, most recently at the beginning of June 2021:
Location: on an "island" with a view of the Moselle or the vineyards
Sanitary: the last tours away Corona closed, otherwise OK
Supply: numerous power connections and water taps spread across the site, supply... and disposal station good: waste bins (without separation) everywhere on the site with frequent emptying
Pitches: no permanent pitches, one row directly on the Moselle, otherwise many large areas
Service: Restaurant on the pitch (with Corona pick-up) and bread roll service
Marina: Opposite marina with boat accessories and restaurant, possibility to launch boats there and on the site
Visitors: lots of short-term holidaymakers alongside the permanent campers on the site; very popular with groups, so not totally quiet but OK, as it is also monitored by the security service (!); helpful site management
Proximity: Wine village of Winningen within walking distance, many restaurants and wine shops; REWE market in the neighboring village, no pool, but outdoor pool opposite
Price: 2 persons, caravan, electricity = 30€Traduzido automaticamente. - Daniel B.June 2021PositivosQuiet location on the MoselleNegativosNoneA beautiful placeVery nice place

- Alex S.August 2019Positivoslots of shade, good restaurantNegativossomewhat outdated, not completely clean, no parceling, a lot of traffic with excessive speed, long walk to the villageStill ok for a short tripbut we couldn't imagine a longer stay there. On the one hand, the sanitary facilities, which have often been criticized, are somewhat antiquated (I don't even know when I last had to buy a shower token) and also not the cleanest. The usual rubber wiper was not available, otherwise the hair etc. of the... previous guest could at least have been removed. The faucet in the shower still consisted of a rotary valve for hot and one for cold water. It takes a while to find the right mix and time is already running out. The roof of the sanitary building consisted only of formerly transparent plastic corrugated sheets, which were now totally green and dirty, which is now only an external appearance, but somehow also confirms the somewhat outdated and unkempt overall impression. There are always different opinions on the subject of reservations and parceling out. We always prefer to know that we haven't made the journey for nothing. A permanently allocated pitch is much more reassuring. We were assured by telephone that there would be no shortage of spaces here. We arrived on Friday morning and still had plenty of choice. It must have gotten more crowded later on, because the spaces between the guests were sometimes very small and people simply squeezed in somewhere. We were worried that if we left the campsite by car, we wouldn't know where to put the car when we got back. One neighbor's pitch was so built up that it was difficult for him to drive his car out. This wouldn't happen with fixed plots and there would probably be more parking spaces, because hardly anyone wanted to go into the "inner courtyard", i.e. the area between the two rows. Finally, something about the traffic on the site. Given the size of the site and the fact that there is only one wash house, it's clear that many people travel by car (we almost felt like we were on a main road), but as long-time campers, we were very surprised at the speed of the traffic. The usual walking speed (which was also indicated here by signs) was not adhered to at all. Real campers should know this and comply with it. There were four small children opposite us and we held our breath a few times when they were heading towards the road. However, it wasn't just cars that were driving far too fast here, but also e-bikes and e-scooters, which also move almost silently.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Karl B.May 2019PositivosLocation and restaurantNegativosSanitary facilities in need of renovationSanitaryThe campsite is very beautiful and idyllically situated and has a very good restaurant with friendly staff but the sanitary facilities are just a pure disaster, which the staff member at the registration desk was also aware of as she explained to me that a few days ago a D A M E had done her big business in the shower. It is inexplicable to me that there are still people like this in this day and age.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Stefan D.September 2018PositivosFree choice of seats, friendly staffNegativosSanitary facilities, waste disposalLight and shadowThis was the third time we've been to this site for a short trip and I can't understand why the sanitary facilities are so unkempt. The disposal of the chemical toilet is the icing on the cake! By far the worst I have ever seen. The place is not a bargain, price compared to other places high but performance unfortunately not so great.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Josef M.May 2018PositivosProximity to KoblenzNegativosSanitary facilities no longer reasonable.Once and never againThis was the 5th campsite we visited on our Moselle bike tour. This site was by far the most expensive and the sanitary facilities were the worst. This dingy, filthy wash house, which is far too small for the size of the site, can no longer be cleaned. It should be torn down and rebuilt to current standards. The site operators make a living from their strategic location close to Koblenz and exploit this to the full.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Melanie K.August 2017PositivosFriendly staff Nice location Bread rolls even without prior order Many trees (shade)NegativosSanitary facilities in urgent need of renovation Rest periods are not observed Adjacent main road and railroad lineOK for passing through, but nothing more. The campsite is in a really beautiful location, on an island in the Moselle, so it's practically surrounded by water. The staff, both at reception and in the restaurant, were very friendly. We only went to the restaurant in the morning to buy bread rolls, so unfortunately I can't comment on the quality... of the restaurant. There are no pitches, everyone pitches where they want and how they want. This certainly has advantages and disadvantages. For us, it had the advantage that there was still a pitch on this site at a weekend in the high season, after we had previously been turned away from 3 campsites. There is always a pitch somewhere here. In addition, you can theoretically take up as much space as you want, there is no limit anywhere. The site is anything but quiet. The country road is not far away and can be heard, as well as a railroad line on which trains also run at night. The site itself is also anything but quiet. When we were here, cars were still driving on the site at 11pm (there is no barrier at the entrance/exit, so you can theoretically drive onto the campsite at any time) and there was a real party on some pitches, with disco lighting, loud music etc. As already described in other reviews, the only sanitary facility on the site is very outdated and urgently needs to be renovated. The campsite was perfectly fine for a night in transit, but I wouldn't want to spend my vacation here.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Diana S.August 2017Too bad about this beautiful place! The place is very idyllic, shady with beautiful old trees. Staff is friendly, restaurant good and beautifully situated. Site not quiet overall (train, road, highway). We were there for the 2nd time, sanitary building unacceptable: completely outdated, calcified, defective fittings in showers, broken... tiles, mold everywhere. Floors and toilets extremely dirty, blocked sinks. Needs to be completely renovated urgently, preferably rebuilt. And then at ground level, not with long stairs up to the rooms. A real shame about this beautiful place!Traduzido automaticamente.

- Rolf F.July 2017PositivosBeautiful location, pure nature, friendly staff and sufficient pitches, even for "giant motorhomes"NegativosPrice performance is not right in my opinion. The sanitary facilities are unfortunately getting on in years.A very nice campsiteA great place, a bit noisy (main road, highway and train traffic) and unfortunately an outdated sanitary facility. If the sanitary facilities were as good as new and clean, you could overlook the noise. As a wine lover, Winningen is worth a visit for me. Unfortunately, the vinotheque in Winningen has... strange opening hours. Restaurants in Winningen are only sparsely open. I don't really know what attracts tourists to Winningen apart from hiking and good wine.Traduzido automaticamente.

- Martin R.September 2015PositivosKoblenz and surrounding villages easily accessibleNegativosNoise from nearby railroad line, sanitary facilities mercilessly undersized, only 1 sanitary building too few for such a large siteWill not visit the site againWe stayed at the campsite for one night at the end of September 2015 and won't be going there again. The site is simply a large meadow with lots of trees on it. There are no pitches, there is free choice of pitch. The fallen trees provide a lot of shade and also prevent the sun from drying the moisture... from the night, so you always have wet shoes in the area of the trees. However, there are also large areas without trees, so satellite reception is certainly possible. The lawn itself had just been mowed briefly during our visit and the pitch itself was also clean. The service at reception was friendly. We were unable to try out the restaurant on the pitch as it was closed. However, the terrace with vines looked particularly inviting. The surrounding villages and Koblenz can be reached quickly from the campsite. Disadvantages of this campsite: There is a railroad line right next to the connecting road, which is frequently used by passenger trains and long freight trains. This is sometimes very noisy, even at night. The site is very long and the only sanitary building is in the middle. The walking distance to it is quite long. In addition, the sanitary facilities are on the second floor and are therefore not accessible for people with walking disabilities. The operator said that this was due to flood protection, but the restaurant is right next to it at ground level. Is this not subject to flood protection? In addition, the sanitary building is mercilessly undersized for the enormous size of the site. My father and I were on the site in the off-season and the site was perhaps half full. Nevertheless, we had to wait in the evening and in the morning before we could shower and wash. The water pressure in the showers also left a lot to be desired. I can't really judge the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities, as it was very busy every time I visited. I'd rather not imagine how long you have to wait for showers and washing at the wash house in high season.Traduzido automaticamente.
- familie R.August 2015PositivosClose to the highwayNegativosSanitary building, lousy playground, very noisy site overall. We were disappointedWe stayed at the site for one night on our way back from Holland. As the site was very full, we first had to go looking for a pitch because it wasn't parceled out, but after a bit of walking - the site is a bit long - we found a pitch right at the entrance, as we wanted to leave early the next morning.... The only toilet block is quite far away, so nothing urgent should be on the way. The toilets are moderately clean, but there are clearly too few washbasins for the size of the pitch. Waiting times are the order of the day. We were very disappointed by the really poor playground, which is really unacceptable. The restaurant is very good, the service excellent, a table should be reserved. Then you constantly hear freight trains rushing past, or the nearby main road is annoying and the site is also in the flight path of a highly frequented leisure airfield. We will not be visiting this place again.Traduzido automaticamente.
