- Kerstin K.May 2023PositivosCleanliness of the campsite, very quiet, friendly welcomeNegativosWash houses outdated and showers were small, no waste disposal points in the area of the yellow wash houseCamping like in the old daysWe were given a very friendly welcome and everything important for our stay was explained to us in detail. The pitches in the area of the yellow wash house are uneven/sloping, so you have to do a lot of leveling. The great view of the lake on which the site is located makes up for this. The sanitary... facilities are well heated and clean, but very dated. The showers are small, which can be a problem for moms/dads with children. The site as a whole is rather natural. You can go hiking from the campsite. There is a Greek restaurant on site where you can also buy bread rolls ordered the day before from 8am. Waste disposal is only available in front of the campsite. We will certainly go there again.Traduzido automaticamente.

- Micha V.October 2021PositivosQuiet locationNegativosCondition and age of the wash housesSomewhere in the middle of nowhere - pure natureAll in all, the place was fine for our weekend trip to the Harz Mountains. Had a pitch near the lake on one of the terraces in between. The descent was quite steep and angular. You should also be able to handle your vehicle well in reverse ;-)
The pitches made a rather unkempt and overgrown impression... *for us*. But maybe that's the way it is with natural sites... We are rather relaxed and not too demanding. However, we like them better when they're a bit tidy.
We found the nearby "yellow" wash house and the washing facilities in the main house very old and uncomfortable. Quick in and quick out is probably apt.
We have very positive memories of the large playground. Children feel at home here. We can also recommend dinner in the restaurant on site. Good and friendly.
We will certainly be back in the Harz Mountains, but we will probably go to another campsite when the time comes.Traduzido automaticamente. - Lars M.June 2021PositivosSurroundings, pitch sizeNegativosAge of the sanitary facilitiesGreat surroundings, beautiful pitchesEven though the bark beetle is a real nuisance, the surroundings are simply fantastic.
The sanitary facilities exude the "Harz charm" of the 70s. It's still okay, but something needs to be done here.
The staff are relaxed and very helpful. The innkeepers are sometimes a little annoyed (e.g. when the barrier doesn't work in the evening). On the one hand understandable, it's not their place, on the other hand the campers are their vacationers :-)Traduzido automaticamente. - Michael F.June 2020Positivoslarge area, no compulsory pitches, plenty of space for caravans and motorhomes, very nice staff, well-kept sanitary facilities, no "compulsory" midday rest and yet everything is very quietNegativosSanitary facilities could use a new "coat of paint", are just a bit outdated, otherwise everything was fine with it, the paths (gravel away and then real surface) could also be improved a bit, so that somewhat "weaker vehicles" can also make the "small" climbsGreat CP in the Harz MountainsCP is located in a very quiet location and on a very beautiful lake (pond).the structure of the places is also very good and there is no prescribed parking obligation.there is only one type of parking recommended and that you should take care that you do not make yourself unnecessarily wide.otherwise... everything is great and cozy there.
The paths on the CP could be renewed, at the moment there is a lot of coarse gravel, for vehicles without four-wheel drive the gradients are very difficult to drive on, even for weaker vehicles.
The access road to the CP is also in need of improvement, as there are many potholes, which caravan drivers need to get used to and "enjoy" with caution.
Otherwise you can have a very good vacation there and there are many destinations to visit in the area.
Thanks for the nice stay there.Traduzido automaticamente. - Jens S.June 2020PositivosBeautifully situated on a lake and in the forest, Very nice staff who are always ready to help, Sanitary always clean, Very quiet on the pitch.NegativosOld sanitary facilities BUT ALWAYS CLEAN, Electricity boxes sometimes very far away from the pitch,If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for youThe peace and quiet here is pure, there is no traffic noise, it is pure relaxation and the beautiful lake invites you to swim, paddle or fish. A turnstile behind the Red Wash House gives you direct access to the forest and the hiking trail to Claustal-Zellerfeld.
The sanitary facilities are unfortunately... a bit outdated and you feel like you've been transported back a few years, but that doesn't detract from it because the sanitary facilities were ALWAYS CLEAN and that is more important than being ultra-modern (at least we think so).
The campsite staff were always very friendly and helpful to us, the campsite has a small indoor swimming pool and a sauna which unfortunately we couldn't use because of Corona but safety comes first.
There is also a great playground for the children.
All in all a GREAT PLACE that is getting on in years and lacks nothing except for a little renovation here and there, but we can still recommend the place to young or old with children or dogs, everyone will find a place here.
We would love to come backTraduzido automaticamente. - 1a C.May 2020PositivosNice contact and friendly receptionNegativosUneven access roads, long steep paths to the wash house and disposal, overall impression very unkempt. Wash houses outdated and uncleanVery disappointing :-(Ascension Day and the long weekend were spent by 12 1aCamping.de member families at the Prahljust campsite in Clausthal Zellerfeld in the Harz Mountains.
The verdict of many experienced campers was very sobering.
Although Prahljust is situated in a very idyllic landscape, the site itself makes an unkempt... impression. The driveways to the pitches had not been repaired for a long time, and the grass and weeds on the pitches had not been mown for a long time.
On entering the sanitary blocks, you could see that little is done for the well-being of the guests on this site.
Unpleasant smells, outdated showers and toilets, broken taps and shelves for towels, broken tiles and no heating at all.
The disinfectant that was laid out smelled of spirit and everyone turned up their noses after using it.
Water could only be fetched from the sanitary building after a steep 400m walk uphill.
The waste disposal station was another 200m away from the pitch.
No wells for fresh water on the pitch.
When we discovered a water tap 50m away from us two days later, we asked reception several times to open the tap, but unfortunately this request was not granted.
There was no question of a good night's sleep here either. A group of campers partied loudly with musical guitar support until late into the night, although we repeatedly asked for quiet after 1.00 am.
Our group also went to the campsite restaurant.
24 people were so disappointed that we simply don't have the words to describe it. There was not a single point under location, service, food and drink that even came close to "satisfactory".
In short, the Prahljust campsite needs a lot of renovation, maintenance and service.Traduzido automaticamente. - Klaus H.March 2020PositivosRestNegativosElectricity boxes, shoppingQuiet campsiteBeautiful and quiet site on a lake. Large pitches. Free indoor pool for campers. Large children's playground. Free choice of pitches. In places you need long cables from the pitches to the electricity box. Sanitary building a bit outdated but always clean. Nice and helpful staff. Bread roll service available, despite the small number of campers. You have to go into town to do your shopping, all the discount stores are there. We will be back.Traduzido automaticamente.

- Heike A. V.October 2019PositivosPeace and pure natureRelaxation in natureThe campsite offers many opportunities for active people. Since we were there in the fall, we limited ourselves to the indoor pool and walks in the forest. The operator and staff were very friendly. - Jürgen H.August 2019PositivosShort distances, friendly staff, free swimming pool.Very nice campsiteWas there alone, with car and awning. Very friendly registration with lots of information. - Sabine H.July 2019PositivosSuper friendly staff Free choice of parking space QuietNegativosPartly very bumpy and sloping pitchesBeautiful surroundingsThe CP is mostly natural, therefore very beautiful without parceling. Ideal for dogs. Steep terrain, but plenty of pitches for WOMOS and caravans. The free choice of pitch is very good, as some pitches are not suitable for Womos due to the bumpy and sloping terrain. Although there were some groups that... were not completely quiet, it was very quiet in the upper part. There were also lots of children who could really let off steam in the forest and on the playground. So families can also really relax here. The reception staff are super friendly and explained all the special features of the campsite without asking. The nearby town of Buntenbock is beautifully situated and definitely worth a visit. Despite the rain, it was very nice here. There are plenty of short trails that you can use during breaks in the rain. The hiking trails are well marked. I will definitely be back.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Alex N.June 2019Positivosreasonably priced no reservation necessary ideal for hikes in the forest, also for swimmersNegativosWLAN not available everywhere, no internet reception with cell phone Long distances for tours through the Harz MountainsGood starting point with vehicleThe campsite is situated on a slope, partly terraced. There are 3 old but clean sanitary buildings for 600 pitches. A restaurant and a snack bar at the Red House round off the facilities. The lake and indoor pool are great for swimming, lots of dogs, but still very clean and quiet. If you want to go... shopping, you have to drive, and not just around the corner. Bring your own food or eat on site. Excursions from here also require a car, but not for hiking and cycling of course. Interesting are border experiences in the direction of Schierke or down to Teistungen (Grenzlandmusem). Braunlage is definitely worth a visit! Not forgetting the Harz railroads. Negative: WLAN on site, but we could only log in in the main building, otherwise unfortunately not possible and also no Internet via O2, we could make phone calls, but Internet - no answer. In my opinion, the choice of pitch has advantages and disadvantages: If a camper doesn't want a neighbor, he spreads out extremely, car there, long guy ropes .... Advantage: no reservation is necessary (and also not possible). Unfortunately, there is also no control of whether tents are actually pitched on the tent meadow, as there are already some on the pitches that should be used for WW or WM.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Hans Hagen S.June 2019PositivosEverything included in the price, very beautifully situated campsite for hiking, nice reception and staff. Clean sanitary facilitiesNegativosSanitary facilities somewhat outdatedBeautifully situated campsiteWe were there on the Whitsun weekend, very nicely located campsite as a starting point for hiking. Nice welcome and friendly staff there. Bread roll service available on site. Pitch size good. Well suited for dog owners. Sanitary facilities clean but a bit outdated, but perfectly okay. I can't judge the restaurant, we didn't eat there, it was a great weekend, we'll be back.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Jens E.May 2019PositivosNature camping at its best without sacrificing comfort. Top base camp for hiking!NegativosGuests who are not familiar with using the toilet brush!!!!Great nature campingWe spent 14 days on this site. (From shortly after Ascension Day until after Whitsun, i.e. the "Sturm und Drang" weekends in the camping year). There is generally a bit more commotion on the site, which is unavoidable given the crowds. However, everything runs quite smoothly on this large site as there... are 3 sanitary buildings available. The sanitary facilities are old but always cleaned properly. Unfortunately, some guests don't know how to behave... even the best cleaner is powerless to do anything about it. the showers always gave hot water no matter how busy it was. Top!!! No shower coins! Free choice of space, everyone can spread out as they need. Perfect for dog owners you are quick in the forest for a walk. Waste bag dispensers at every sanitary building. Super nice staff at the reception. Food at the restaurant was fresh, tasty, good portion but you had to wait quite a long time. The pitches are quite uneven but that's just because of the slope (we were in front of the yellow sanitary building) so one or two wedges are mandatory but almost every camper has them with them anyway. WLAN works perfectly as long as there is not too much going on on the pitch (between the long weekends it was really good for free WLAN). With Aldi Talk we still had good 3G in the awning, which was enough for us when the WLAN was down. It was a wonderful 2 weeks on this site. Perfect for us who needed a base camp for hiking. Can only recommend the stamp hiking around the Harzer Wandernadel to everyone. Will gladly come here again.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Yvonne H.April 2019PositivosNature, peace, relaxation, swimming pool, something for everyone. Great surroundings for hiking, cycling and very beautiful places/cities all aroundNegativosIf a "disadvantage", then the lack of a shop for the essentials.Beautiful, centrally located place in natureBeautifully situated campsite in the countryside by a lake. Central starting point for tours to the surrounding towns, e.g. Clausthal-Zellerfeld, Goslar, Hahnenklee, Altenau etc. There is a small indoor swimming pool and a sauna area. There is a nice playground for the little ones. The restaurant on... site is simple, but the food and prices are absolutely fine. The operators should be a little more enthusiastic. But everyone is friendly. There are three sanitary blocks with everything you need. The buildings are a bit outdated and could certainly be made a bit nicer with small improvements. Cleanliness gets an A+ from us, absolutely top. There are enough toilets and showers in all three wash houses. The operators are super nice and happy to help. There is no store on the site, but the nearest shopping facilities are easy to reach by bike or car, about 3.5 km away. Pitches are a good size and you even have an almost free choice of pitches. Electricity points are easy to reach, as are water points. A great place for people looking for peace and quiet. But also highly recommended for families with children. Dogs are welcome and of course there is plenty of space to run around. Very good value for money. We will be back!Traduzido automaticamente.
- Maximilian L.April 2019PositivosSurrounded by nature, swimming pool, lots of peace and quiet, very friendly staff & free showers.NegativosAccess roads not paved, sanitary facilities very outdated, no shade below the yellow wash house since 2019.Camping vacation over EasterI already visited this campsite in 2018 and can only recommend it. The only drawback in my eyes are the very outdated sanitary facilities. They are very clean but they urgently need to be renovated. I don't expect underfloor heating etc. But I think completely new tiles, larger and more comfortable shower... cubicles could make a big difference here. On a positive note, I would like to mention that the showers are included in the camping price, so you don't have to buy shower tokens or anything like that. The washing-up areas in the yellow sanitary building are very clean and perfectly fine. In the main holiday season, however, it would be necessary to have a few more washing-up areas available. In 2018, there were still over 70 spruce trees on the pitches. These all had to be felled before the storm for safety reasons (as they are shallow-rooted). Fruit trees were planted in many places instead. Whether this makes sense will have to be seen in the future. Because I suspect this will attract a lot of wasps. Because the spruce trees have been removed, you now have a fantastic view of the lake below the yellow wash house. Unfortunately, this means that there are no trees to provide shade in midsummer. The site also looked much more inviting with all the spruce trees. The reception is extremely friendly and very competent. The swimming pool included in the camping price is older but very clean and invites you to visit, especially in bad weather. When visiting, you should definitely remember to pack large plate screws for fastening the awning etc.. You won't get any further here with pegs etc., as there are simply too many stones and, above all, old tree roots in the ground. The access roads are not asphalted and have deep holes in some places. Especially in the warm season, this causes dust to be stirred up, even if you drive very slowly. All in all, a very nice campsite in the middle of nature. I would love to come back! :-)Traduzido automaticamente.
- Jan B.April 2019PositivosFreedom Nature PeaceNegativosThe restaurant is extremely bad. We have never eaten as badly as we did there.EasterWe were on the site over Easter and the following week. What's special is that you don't feel so patronized and you can also leave the site by car at lunchtime. The pitches are relatively uneven and the electricity sometimes has to be drawn over long distances. The sanitary facilities are very dated but clean. We had a great vacation there.Traduzido automaticamente.
